I hold a Masters in Social Work from Temple University (MSW, 2016). Additionally, a Masters of Arts in Community Psychology and Social Change (MA, 2012). I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I am biracial so practicing cultural awareness and competency, comes naturally. I am a cancer survivor (sarcoma) and chronic pain fighter (endometriosis and PCOS), with professional experience in healthcare so case management and patient advocacy are additional skills used in the therapeutic approach. Serving adults and seniors.
Have you been wondering if your current challenges are due to past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the Therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults.
Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, acts of physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also think because trauma happened a long time ago, it does not affect them in the present. These are a few of the myths about trauma. There are many types of traumas such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, neglect from parents, infidelity, intimate partner violence, the witnessing of domestic violence and more.
If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help with positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence.
I am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person allow me to provide empathetic regard while helping clients from multicultural backgrounds.
My name is Dr. Steven Mehl and I have been a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania since July of 2016. I have worked primarily in college counseling centers as well as in nursing and rehabilitation facilities. In addition, I have worked for over a decade with adults of varying abilities who carry a diagnosis of developmental (autism spectrum) and/or intellectual disabilities. I have also gained some experience working with individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction while working at an outpatient treatment center.
I have worked with individuals of all different ages and backgrounds and have enjoyed helping them address different psychological and general life issues. I practice primarily cognitive-behavioral (CBT) therapy, while also utilizing some alternative approaches.
As a therapist, I strive to help clients by first establishing a sense of their background and aspects of their current motivation. It is this motivation that will help to propel the therapeutic process forward and ensure that you, the client, are the one who is in control.
I love what I do as a Licensed Clinical Therapist. To me, there's no better job than showing people how to use their minds to work for them instead of against them by getting past their mental blocks and past traumas so they don't have to suffer any longer.
Specifically, I work with two groups - couples and parents. Couples that aren't communicating very well that have lost that once special connection with their partner and parents struggling with their children's behaviors.

I am a very passionate therapist who has been counseling individuals since the year 2000. I am animated and authentic. I am dedicated to my clients and their healing. There is nothing more beautiful than watching people transform their lives from dysfunctional to functional and then to extraordinary. I feel honored that I get to do this very important work.
I’m direct, honest, and down to earth. I’ll point out patterns, blind spots, and ways you may be holding yourself back while staying grounded and respectful. Clients often say I “tell it like it is” while still feeling seen and supported.
I also bring a sense of humor into the work when it fits. Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or overly clinical to be meaningful. Some conversations will be deep and challenging, and others will include moments of levity, humor, or calling things out in a way that just feels real.
You don’t have to filter yourself here. You can speak freely, even if that means being blunt, emotional, messy, using whatever language feels natural to you, or making a sarcastic joke in the middle of something hard. I’m not focused on perfection; I’m focused on honesty and helping you actually move forward.
This work is a good fit if you’re open to new ideas, comfortable with being challenged, and willing to apply what we discuss beyond our sessions. I offer practical tools designed for consistent use over time, not quick fixes that eliminate discomfort immediately. My role is to help you understand patterns and make meaningful changes, not to provide step-by-step instructions for immediate relief. Much of my work focuses on helping clients understand deeper emotional patterns, unresolved experiences, and long-standing relationship dynamics that continue to influence their present-day lives.
We all struggle or feel overwhelmed. It's normal. But we also have the ability to learn, grow, and improve. Having the right support can really help avoid making things worse and speed up how quickly we recover. Whether you are dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship issues or long term mental health challenges - I would really like to help you achieve your goals.
With over 15 years of experience coaching individuals and couples with a wide variety of issues I believe that together we can work to help you feel better, improve your life, and be healthy.
I look forward to talking with you!
I have been working with individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use, sexual addiction, and mental health challenges for the past ten years. I have a real heart to walk alongside you to encourage, support, and empower you to move forward in your recovery needs. I graduated from Liberty University in 2014 with an MA in Professional Counseling and completed a Doctoral program specializing in treating trauma-related challenges. I approach recovery through the eyes of motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am also trained in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

I have worked primarily in residential settings since then, graduating with my masters in Clinical Mental health Counseling in 2020. I recently attained my state license and was able to start my outpatient practice. I have experience working with people of varying ages and concerns. Hello, my name is Geovanni Charles and I am a Licensed Practical Counselor in the state of PA. Originally from New York with a Caribbean background, I saw many instances growing up where mental health was at play, without many people aware of the extent it influenced everyone. My vision is one where mental health can be appreciated and provided to all, because we all have a right to be given help, especially when it comes to health. My mission is to help bridge that gap and provide mental health access to everyone, regardless of their class or status.

I am Lali Binder, LPC, a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, process difficult experiences, and build healthy coping skills. Through a supportive and collaborative approach, I help individuals and families improve communication, increase resilience, and create lasting positive change in their daily lives.
You’ve been holding a lot together—and it’s getting harder to keep it that way. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life or career transitions - but my focus often extends beyond a single diagnosis. I also support complex mental health, including dissociative identity and schizophrenia. I'm especially mindful of stressors such as navigating the challenges of a loved one living with hoarding disorder, carrying loss connected to COVID, and layered intercultural or blended family dynamics.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health. Over the years I’ve worked in many roles — including supervision, leadership, and training — but what I value most is sitting down with people and helping them make sense of their lives.
You might be here because life feels heavier than it should, your thoughts won’t slow down, or you’re tired of trying to hold everything together on your own. As a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania, I work with people who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self‑doubt, and the everyday challenges that can leave you feeling overwhelmed or stuck.
My approach is down‑to‑earth and collaborative. I don’t believe in one‑size‑fits‑all therapy — your experiences, your pace, and your goals matter. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, build practical tools you can use in real life, and create space for you to feel understood without judgment.
I draw from evidence‑based practices, but just as importantly, I bring compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique story. Whether you’re working on managing emotions, improving focus, building confidence, or simply trying to feel more like yourself again, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more capable, and more connected to the life you want to live.

Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of Slippery Rock, Pa and I have continued to practice within the use of cognitive based therapy for over 22 years. I assist adolescents to adults with managing symptoms and negative thinking patterns associated with depression, anxiety and intrusive thoughts which can remain a barrier towards your desired outcomes. I specialize in decreasing thought distortions that lead to anxiety and teaching coping skills to assist in managing anxiety symptoms as they present. I work most often from a strength-based approach in supporting clients as they learn to identify and challenge beliefs and experiences, which can drive depressive symptoms.
Do you often feel like the one who has to hold everything together? Many of my clients are high-achieving adults who look calm and capable on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted behind the scenes.
I work with professionals, caregivers, and individuals navigating high expectations, perfectionism, and major life transitions. Together we explore the patterns that keep you stuck in overdrive and develop healthier ways to manage stress, set boundaries, and reconnect with yourself.
I have an LPC and an LMFT and have been seeing clients since 1996. I have extensive training in helping people who are going through or have experienced narcissistic abuse and any form of childhood trauma, this includes verbal and emotional abuse, family addictions, or any early childhood experience that would cause one to feel unsafe. I am also experienced in the treatment of anxiety, worry and mood concerns and work with addictions, obsessive compulsive behaviors and any poor coping skills or core beliefs that were developed in order to manage these stressors. I use practices primarily focused on somatic and cognitive therapy but also utilize acceptance commitment therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness and am solution focused. I use homework and assignments aimed at regulating the nervous system in order to repair the fight/flight/freeze response that is often stuck on due to a continuous history of a variety of life stressors (trauma). This trapped and stored trauma continues to trigger the nervous system to respond in ways where we continue to feel unsafe, even after the threats have passed. By working with the nervous system to release this trapped trauma and find safety, we can then have the opportunity to respond to the world differently.
I am here to walk with you through your unique journey. My focus is on providing each client with individualized care. The decision to start therapy can be difficult, I am here to make therapy a positive and helpful experience. I can help guide you through a variety of issues from small changes to major life transitions. As we walk together through your journey, we can explore thoughts, feelings and emotions so that you can better understand yourself and live your best life.
I enjoy working with preteens to adults. I am able to help clients manage and regulate emotions, cope with stress/anxiety and decrease other negative symptoms. I have experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, behavior modification and cognitive restructuring.
I have 10 years of clinical outpatient therapy experience.

I’ve been working with individuals for nearly 20 years, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this: none of us are meant to do this alone.
Sitting one-on-one with someone as they untangle their story is work I don’t take lightly. It’s an honor. Over the years, I’ve supported people through burnout, transitions, grief, relationship shifts, identity questions, and those quieter seasons where you just know something needs to change, even if you can’t name it yet.
I also have advanced training in trauma and ADHD, which means I understand how deeply our nervous systems, past experiences, and unique wiring shape the way we move through the world. Whether you’re navigating the impact of trauma or trying to make sense of an ADHD brain in a world that doesn’t always accommodate it, we’ll approach your work with both compassion and practical insight.
Individual therapy is powerful. There is something sacred about having a space that is entirely yours — where you don’t have to perform, hold it together, or take care of anyone else. I also believe people need people and that is why I lead women's groups and retreats as well.
At the heart of my work is the belief that we’re all just trying to get home — home to ourselves. Home to steadiness, clarity, belonging, and alignment. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with that place inside you that already knows the way.
Thank you for coming here and viewing my page. I have much life experience besides work and school caring for those with a severe and persistent mental illness, mood disorders, anxiety and depression and woman's issues. Also, I have worked with many families of those struggling with mental health issues. My children and I are survivors of domestic violence and I have learned that with you can heal and reach your potential even when sometimes you do not think you can.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I congratulate you on starting your journey, and I’m here to make sure that it is meaningful to you. My approach is client-centered and integrative. I believe in empowering individuals to make positive changes and lead fulfilling lives. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, and achieve their goals.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Temple University with a clinical concentration, specializing in health and mental health, and I’m licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Mexico, Washington, and New Jersey. My passion is working with people to navigate life’s challenges and transitions, whether that’s changes at work, moving, or shifts in relationships. Welcome, and congratulations on beginning your therapeutic journey. I am an LCSW with over 20 years in the field whose approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe in meeting you where you are, helping you build insight and resilience at your own pace. I was drawn to this work out of a deep curiosity about human connection and a desire to help others navigate life's complexities. It has been so rewarding to help others achieve peaceful solutions to issues in their lives.
Welcome to SLAY Therapy, where today’s the day to SLAY: Start Loving All of You!
I’m Akeesha M. Washington, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CAADC), National Certified Counselor (NCC) and your dedicated SLAY Therapist and Certified Slayer of Mental Health Stigmas. With over 15+ years of experience, I’ve made it my mission to offer inclusive, compassionate, and yes, a little bit fabulous therapy! I’ve worked in a wide range of settings, from schools to community mental health centers, and now I bring that diverse expertise into my private practice. Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family, I provide therapy that’s culturally competent, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique journey, using approaches like CBT, EMDR, DBT, and Racial Trauma Therapy.
A proud Philadelphia native, I hold two graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, an Executive MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University. My practice is primarily focused on supporting BIPOC communities in navigating mental health, dismantling stigma, and improving access to quality care. However, I also welcome anyone seeking therapy through a culturally competent, anti-racist, queer-affirming, and inclusive lens. My approach is rooted in understanding the cultural, social, and racial dynamics that impact mental health. cAt SLAY Therapy, my goal is simple: to create a space where you feel empowered to embrace your whole self, no filters needed.
