Welcome — this is a space where you can be honest, seen, and understood. I’m Shakea “Kea” Roper, LCSW, and I bring 17 years of clinical and social work experience to our therapeutic partnership. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by cycles that just won’t shift — I see you.
My style is active, grounded, and rooted in both compassion and challenge. Many clients say: “Kea listens like no one else — and she’s not afraid to stretch me when I need it.”
I integrate evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, Brief Therapy) along with more specialized models:
Making Sense of Your Worth (MSoYW): an 8-week group curriculum developed by HALO Project where we explore and heal the internal “lies” we believe about ourselves, rebuild toward positive self-worth and secure attachment.
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT): a structured, cognitive-behavioral system where we work through step-by-step exercises to enhance reasoning, decision-making, and a healthier identity (beyond self-destructive or impulsive patterns).
I also actively engage in community work, and I’m currently pursuing my doctorate (which continues to deepen my perspective and rigor). Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me at board game night, crafting, or spending time with family.
It’s an honor to walk alongside you. Nelson Mandela said, “Everything seems impossible until it’s done.” Let’s work together toward the possible.
I’m currently accepting clients in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kansas, Utah, North Dakota, and Nevada.

That’s where therapy with me comes in. My experience allows me to understand the best ways to address each client’s needs in an effective manner. I am flexible in my approach and use collaboration as the basis of therapy. I have worked with a diverse population of individuals and have experience in treating an array of diagnoses, including PTSD, Loss/Miscarriage and Postpartum Issues, Depression, OCD, Life Transitions, and Anxiety. I utilize a blend of Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy while also incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These advanced methods promote healing and desired change in a unique, gentle, and respectful manner. I specialize in working to empower women who are struggling to heal from trauma and anxiety related issues. When not working, I enjoy snuggling with my dog and spending time with my family.
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in the same patterns? You don’t have to navigate it alone.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 25 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and families create healthier relationships, manage anxiety, and build emotional resilience. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Ecosystemic Family Structural Therapy (EFST) to help clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify negative or recurring thought patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or emotional challenges, and develop practical tools to create lasting change.
Whether your child is struggling emotionally, your teen feels overwhelmed, or your family is facing challenges in communication or connection, therapy can provide support, clarity, and effective strategies for growth and healing.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with confidence.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, but meaningful change is possible. I look forward to supporting you and your family on that journey.
Welcome. I know reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe, seen, and understood. My goal is to provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences at your own pace.
I work with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed. Many of my clients are people who have spent years caring for others while neglecting their own needs and are now ready to begin prioritizing their healing and personal growth.
My approach is integrative and personalized because I believe every person’s story and healing journey is unique. I incorporate supportive therapy, trauma-focused care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and narrative therapy to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
Together, we will work to identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, process painful experiences with care and intention, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with your strengths and sense of self. I believe healing happens not only through insight, but also through feeling empowered, supported, and genuinely accepted.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. With over 23 years of experience working with individuals and families struggling with a wide variety of obstacles, My ideal client is a parent or couple who is struggling to parent their children in a way that feels both effective and enjoyable. This might be due to behavior health struggles in the family, grief and loss, trauma or family conflict. My passion revolves around helping others to develop to their fullest potentials and I believe that utilizing individuals' strengths and personal experiences is the best way to help them successfully make positive, lasting changes in their lives and the lives of their families.
As a second-career social worker, I bring both professional experience and real-world perspective into the therapy space. My background includes working as an Older Adult Protective Services Investigator, a Home Health Care Social Worker, a mentor to college-aged individuals, and currently supporting Veterans experiencing homelessness who are navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, trauma, and substance use.
I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. Outside of work, I enjoy playing music, spending time with family and friends, and being in nature. I value practices that help people reconnect with themselves, find balance, and build resilience in ways that feel authentic and sustainable for them.
