About me

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Philadelphia. I received my Masters fom LaSalle University in Philadelphia and have been practicing for 6 years. I have at present worked soley in Community Mental Health, where I feel I have learned the fundamentals of counseling. Working within the broad spectrum of community mental health has given me the impetus to expand my horizons with the challenges of counseling a more diverse population

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session I may ask my client what kinds of needs or issues they would like to address in our treatment together, as well as what they have done up to the present to manage their mental health in the past.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel one of my greatest strengths as a provider is my collaborative spirit. As a Rogerian follower of the humanistic approach, I readily allow my clients to take the lead. I also believe my empathic nature, welcoming personality and I must admit my quick wit, and fearlessness in incorporating humor in my approach all add to my strengths as a good mental health provider.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT as one of my go to Interventions to work with a client to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviour. I utilize it my client to focus on what is going on in their life right now, but we can also discuss about how your past experiences have affected you.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize a Person-Centered therapy in my approach because it is humanistic, and it seeks to facilitate a client's actualizing tendency, an inbuilt proclivity toward growth and fulfillment, via acceptance, therapist congruence, and empathic understanding. This approach purposely allows the client to lead.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a directive, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behaviour change by helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence.

Multicultural

As culture plays an extremely relevant role in the world of therapy, it is not hard to understand the importance of relating to an individual through their own lens. Multicultural counseling is what takes place when a health professional works with a client from a cultural background outside of his or her own.

Grief Therapy

Experience having worked in a community-based platform with grieving mothers dealing with loss of children to gun violence allowed me to help individuals cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cognitive responses to loss.

I was recommended by my insurance to the grow platform, and I saw Mrs Clark. Very warm and understanding, very punchy and to the point. I was very comfortable sharing.

What stood out to me the most was how authentic and honest she was. No coddling or sugar coating. Easy to talk to and be transparent with.
