Hello, I am Jill, and Welcome! First off, kudos to you for taking the step to join the world of therapy. It can feel a little intimidating, especially if you've not been here before. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Central Michigan University in 2003 (Fire up, Chips!) and my Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 2023 (O-H!) Hi! I am a licensed masters level social worker (LMSW) based in Michigan. I received my Bachelor's in Social Work and Master's in Social Work degrees from Western Michigan University. I have been a therapist for 5 years. I enjoy helping individuals address feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. I have significant experience working with youth and individuals who have experienced trauma.
I will like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a licensed mental health therapist. I want to tell you a little about myself and my fieldwork experiences. I worked in this field for several years, along with various training, to assist clients in different areas. In the last several years, I worked in a mental health hospital with adolescents, substance abuse, and crisis intervention in various settings. People with trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia were some of the people I helped at work. I worked with individuals on career choices to increase their career paths to maximize success. I support individuals in their desire to become independent, and I do this by helping them identify their true potential.
I believe in therapy as someone who has done my own clinical work since I was in my mid-twenties. I grew up in NJ and moved to Michigan to attend college and have been here since that time. I spent the first part of my career working in the foster care system with children and adolescents which I really enjoyed. That gave me a great foundation for working with the adult issues of attachment, child developmental stages that were not accomplished and struggles with current relationships.
I do a lot of work with people who were raised by narcissistic parents, people who are dealing with cancer diagnosis and those with chronic or life threatening illnesses. I work with people who are addressing childhood trauma, sexual abuse or emotional abuse. I have worked with adoptees who are seeking understanding of themselves and their past. I do a lot of work with individuals transitioning from a divorce situation and all the adjustments that this involves especially in coparenting situations. I find people and their life experiences fascinating and always worth unpacking and investigating to gain a better understanding of the self as a whole being; there is always something new to learn.
Hello! I am a licensed therapist (LMHC in Indiana, LCPC in Illinois, and LPC in Michigan). I received my master's in Counseling Psychology from North Park University in Chicago and have been practicing for 8 years. I help adults that are struggling with anxiety, have a history of trauma, or are experiencing perinatal mental health symptoms, to create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
I work with young adults and adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by life’s challenges. Many of my clients struggle with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, stress, or difficult transitions such as ruptured relationships, parenthood, perimenopause, or grief. They often come to me looking for support, hope, motivation, and ways to feel more grounded and purposeful in daily life.
It's important to me to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to feel deeply heard and supported, while also being gently encouraged to grow. While my approach to your care is personalized and collaborative, I draw from evidence-based methods like Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), DBT, CBT, ACT, and mindfulness to help you build tools you can actually use beyond our sessions. I bring not only knowledge, but also humility and lived experience to this work. My goal is always to co-create a space where you will feel safe, respected, and empowered.
Together, we’ll focus on managing distress, learning about emotions, building resilience, and reconnecting with what matters most to you whether that’s enjoying your relationships, finding balance, or reclaiming joy.

Together, we explore tools, insights, and strategies that help you feel more capable, grounded, and confident in your day-to-day life. If you struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD, then I want to work with you. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD is not cause by caregivers, however, when it goes undiagnosed in children, there is s strong correlation to symptoms described above)
I help college students, job seekers and working professionals who are feeling burned out, anxious, or overwhelmed reconnect with their strengths and bring their best selves to work or school. Many of my clients juggle high expectations, relationship challenges at work or college, and ongoing stress—and feel stuck, frustrated, or held back by negative self-talk. Together, we work on recognizing these patterns, challenging self-imposed limitations, and building healthier, more confident ways of thinking. Career counseling focused on mental health in the workplace is my specialization.

I continue to encourage a healthy leisure lifestyle with my clients, discussing the importance of self-care, self-esteem and cultivating self-worth. Having fun and finding the joy in life is a part of healing from a mental health crisis.
If the times on my schedule don't work for you, please make an appointment and message me with a better time and/or day and I can change. I am able to see clients during the day outside of what my calendar availability shows but on a limited schedule. I always try to be as flexible as I can to meet the needs of my clients. :-)
No show policy: All I ask is to be communicated with, even last minute. I know life can happen pretty quickly but without any communication, it is a $100 cancellation fee.

My name is Anthony and I have worked in the behavioral health field for 28 years. I am very active in the behavioral health field even being acknowledged as a Notable Leader in Behavioral Health in 2023 through Crain's Detroit. While a large portion of my work is spent training and managing a team of behavioral health professionals it is incredibly important to me to continue creating space to partner and directly serve people. This is where you come in, providing counseling is generally the best part of my work. It grounds me with why I am a work in behavioral health, it allows me to practice the skills I have learned over the decades and it creates energy and life satisfaction. You have many options of who to choose as a therapist, know that if you choose me I will be excited to see you and to partner with you. Seeing clients is literally not my job, I genuinely want to be your counselor and I look forward to seeing you.
