New to Grow
I will provide you a safe space within an authentic relationship to work through challenges. I've been trained in multiple therapy modalities, bringing to our work an eclectic and flexible approach. I can help you build insight and incorporate an understanding of your past into skills that will help you thrive and become your best self today. I previously completed a fellowship in Michigan Medicine's Department of Psychiatry where I specialized in anxiety disorders, grief and loss, and depression. I was rigorously trained in CBT, including exposure therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT, and interpersonal psychotherapy. I also have experience developing and facilitating therapy groups. I have a lot of training and can take a flexible approach to find what works best for you!
Our first session will include a quick overview of what to expect from therapy and each session, and then we'll dive into what is bringing you in! I'll typically ask a lot of questions to try to understand what's going on and how we should move forward. Then, together, we'll decide on a few goals to focus on.
My clients would describe me as open, accepting, authentic, and direct. I believe in the power of mastering discomfort to move us towards growth, and I look forward to working on this together!
I typically work with adults & young adults as they work to face transitions, build confidence, and manage difficult emotions. I specialize in anxiety, such as social anxiety, worry, and panic, OCD, and issues with relationships, assertiveness, and self-confidence.
