I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where all individuals feel welcomed and respected. I value cultural humility and strive to ensure that each client’s unique cultural background is not only acknowledged but thoughtfully integrated into our work together. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process in which clients feel empowered to explore their emotions, overcome obstacles, and move toward lasting change.
I’m here to support you in navigating life’s ups and downs with care, curiosity, and compassion. I hold a PhD and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Hi there, I am Belma Johnson. I am an LICSW with over 20 years experience working with adolescents in various settings, including in the school system. I am kind, genuine, relatable, and funny. I work with my clients on finding coping mechanisms that they can put in their own coping skills toolbox that can help in the school or family setting.

Hi there! Many of us struggle in silence to overcome the challenges we face, but you no longer have to face that battle alone. From someone who has had their own personal struggles with mental health, I want you to know that you are not alone. I strive to create a space for you to feel seen, heard, and safe. As someone who has been to therapy, I understand how difficult it can be to take that next step. Finding the right therapist can be hard. Finding someone to support you, challenge you, and hold space for the things most people in our life have no idea we are facing. I would be honored to be that space for you. I hope we can work together to help you reach your goals. While the first step is acknowledging the change you need, it takes courage to recognize you need some guidance. It takes even more courage to initiate those first steps towards improving your life.

Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after one month. My ethical duty is identifying, being available, and caring for current clients.
