About me

Hi, I’m Jamilex (she/her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional based in Massachusetts. I offer online therapy for adolescents and adults navigating trauma, identity, and life transitions—especially those from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities who are carrying complex stories that haven’t always felt safe to tell. My path to becoming a therapist began long before I earned my degree. Before I became a therapist, I was a young person surviving systems, silences, and scars; searching for safety, words, and meaning. My journey through abuse, family estrangement, foster care, and the military shaped not only my life, but my purpose. I know what it’s like to carry pain that feels too heavy, or too complicated, to name. That journey shaped my belief that even in silence, our stories matter. Even in pain, growth is possible.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session would consist of working together to get to know each other and identify what your specific goals for therapy are. I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed approach tailored to adolescents and adults healing from shame, trauma, and perfectionism. Together, we explore your story, build coping skills, and cultivate self-compassion through mindfulness and parts work in a safe, supportive space that honors your unique healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My own journey through trauma, foster care, the military, and family estrangement showed me how hard, and lonely, healing can feel. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), I’m committed to offering the kind of grounded, affirming guidance I once needed; where your identity is respected, your resilience seen, and your healing is supported. I offer trauma-informed, collaborative support that blends deep empathy with practical tools for change. Whether you're navigating trauma, estrangement, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’ll help you build self-trust, manage emotions, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been silenced. When you're ready, I encourage you to reach out!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Today, I create a space where clients can feel safe, seen, and empowered to reconnect with themselves. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in compassion. I’m certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Level II), blending evidence-based approaches like DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and person-centered therapy to support each client’s unique process. My mission is to help you move from survival to self-trust, from inner criticism to compassion. You don’t have to do it alone. Healing is possible, and your story is worth telling.
