I am licensed in Maine and Massachusetts with 30 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, career difficulties, & coping with life changes.
I'm holistic and will incorporate client's beliefs, culture and other factors into our sessions.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. Additionally, I have a specialty in working with creatives, as I am one myself.
First session
I will introduce myself and the parameters of therapy. We will talk about the presenting problem, what they would like to work on and frequency of sessions. We will talk about strengths, supports and barriers. I will assess them Initially and help them come up with their goals.
Strengths
I have a great sense of humor am very kind, non-judgmental and easy to talk to. I am an intuitive clinician and will encourage but also will challenge if a client is not really addressing underlying issues, while still making sure they as empowered in their own treatment. The goal is always for the client to feel good enough to be done. I have firm, professional boundaries and strong ethics. I'm holistic and will incorporate client's beliefs, culture and other factors into our sessions.
Ideal clients
Motivated, have strengths and supports, not suicidal or chronically mentally ill with major diagnoses. Short term issues. Women in transition. I have done that other work for many years and at this stage of my life I want to help others but not with those critical issues.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I believe that people sometimes go through issues that are normal, but are temporary stresses or situations , and it is my goal to help people see their way to dealing with them and becoming empowered through short-term intervention. I am very invested in clients being able to be solution and future focused. Over many years I have worked with a myriad of issues and look at clients strengths, supports and life goals as well.
