My name is Normarie Torres-García and I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology, from the Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico, and my Postdoctoral Fellowship in Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care in The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. I have a strong background in delivering culturally sensitive services within a patient-centered model and I maintain a strong interest in working within other models of evidence-based interventions and health-care integration.

The Chinese philosopher Lao Tsu said “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” I applaud you for taking that first step to feeling happier and healthier. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their emotional well-being and find the path to personal growth and healing. I have had the honor of helping people from diverse backgrounds to address the stress, depression and anxiety that comes with tackling life’s challenges – career transitions, parenting issues, relationship difficulties, communication issues, and social problems. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. I want to all individuals to grow and evolve through their struggles with mental health by changing their maladaptive behaviors. I am a graduate from FIU who works at Aventura Hospital in a crisis stabilization unit. I offer a challenging yet empathetic approach to help you move out of your comfort zone and towards growth.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with British Caribbean roots and from the tail end of the baby boomer generation, I have come to acknowledge the roller-coaster ride that life offers with numerous highs, lows, and constant cycles of new beginnings and closures. My career in the mental health profession began to take shape in 2012, which led me to secure a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the esteemed University of South Florida. Since 2014, my focus has been on supporting children, individuals, and families in Florida. The unprecedented emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 disrupted our social lives drastically, prompting an increased need for virtual counseling. However, I managed to adapt to this change in my practice, thus registering continuous growth in the Telehealth space from then onward. My practice now serves the wider population. 

Ron Gay is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping his clients overcome struggles that are hindering them from being the best version of themselves. He is a proud Alumnus of North Carolina Central University where he received his Bachelor's degree and Nova Southeastern where he received his Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling.
