I am a dedicated therapist who brings a compassionate, steady, and deeply human approach to the work I do. My clinical practice is shaped not only by years of professional experience, but also by my personal journey as a mother and wife navigating the complex realities of children facing serious health challenges. These experiences have strengthened my empathy, broadened my understanding of resilience, and deepened my commitment to supporting individuals through their most difficult moments.
I specialize in telehealth therapy, providing accessible, high‑quality care for a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions. In every session, my goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non‑judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, understand your patterns, and feel genuinely heard.

My name is Nikki Caravella and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. Painful experiences often lead people to develop protective strategies to manage overwhelming emotions. These strategies may appear as perfectionism, emotional avoidance, anger toward loved ones, or repeated involvement in unhealthy relationships. While they can offer temporary relief, they often create disconnection from oneself and others, contributing to feelings of loneliness, shame, anxiety, and depression.
I am dedicated to helping individuals strengthen their sense of self worth and process traumatic experiences that contribute to insecure attachment and unhelpful patterns. I believe that although emotional wounds often occur within relationships, healing also takes place through safe and supportive connection. With compassion, courage, and a willingness to explore difficult experiences, meaningful and lasting change is possible. Healing can happen, and there is always hope.
The journey of healing at times requires support, sacred listening, and gentle guidance. I am here to assist you. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating the challenging effects of grief, trauma, increased stress and anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, and identity issues.

I didn't always know I wanted to be a therapist. Growing up in a household where mental health issues were present allowed me to see firsthand it's effect on individuals. After undergraduate school, I landed my first job in a psychiatric hospital. That's when things clicked for me, and I knew that I wanted to help people become their best selves. I had a natural curiosity to understand the world, how people think, and what drives human behavior. I also believe in the power of connectedness. All these things came together and pushed me to pursue my graduate degree in counseling. My experiences early on taught me that no one is perfect, we all struggle, and we all deserve grace. I am here to tell you that your story doesn't have to end where it is now. I aim to show that we are all resilient and have the ability to overcome challenges.
As a seasoned clinician, I specialize in helping clients find steadiness during times of uncertainty.

With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about supporting adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions and pursue meaningful growth. Whether you are a college student or recent graduate adjusting to a new season of life, an individual facing anxiety or depression, or a couple preparing for marriage or working to strengthen your relationship, I strive to provide guidance that feels both supportive and practical.
My Christian faith shapes my personal values; however, I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. Faith-based perspectives are incorporated into counseling only if a client specifically desires it.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Life transitions—whether expected or unexpected—can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and work toward the emotional and personal goals that matter most to you.
I have experience working with adults experiencing life changes, including college and post-college transitions, relationship challenges, marriage and premarital preparation, and parenting. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and stress that often accompany these seasons of change. My background as a behavioral specialist in community mental health allows me to effectively support adults diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, as well as parents raising children with these diagnoses.
In my work with couples, I draw from my experience as a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator to help partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more connected relationships.
When working with individuals, I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My focus is on equipping you with practical tools and strategies so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.
Are you experiencing a time of transition? Are you facing difficulty with a particular challenge that is impacting your mental health? Are you a person of faith seeking to incorporate your beliefs/spiritual practices in your mental health care plan?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, I want you to know that you do not have to manage your problems alone.
As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience in faith-based ministries and a Master of Divinity (MDiv), I look forward to creating a welcoming virtual space where you can address barriers and create paths for your mental health and overall wellness.
I am passionate about providing therapy to:
1. First and second-generation people impacted by im/migration, xenophobia, and racism.
2. Adults who struggle with self-worth, anxiety, and a sense of self due to conflict with family of origin or adverse childhood experiences.
3. Millenials and GenZers coping with crises related to employment, career, finances, relationships, boundaries, self-care, transitions and the daily demands of “adulting”.
4. Persons whose faith tradition and background have an impact on their wellbeing, decision-making, lifestyle, and mental health.
Together, we will assess and prioritize needs, identify goals, create a treatment plan, evaluate progress, celebrate success, and make changes as necessary.
I encourage you to reach out for support today. Your mental health matters!

A bit about me; I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have approximately 6 years of clinical experience. Hello, I'm Rose-Marie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Life can be stressful at times and it can be hard to cope with the everyday changes and curve balls thrown at you. Sometimes we don't think about the importance of our mental health. We struggle with adjusting to the changes life sends our way and may end up becoming anxious or depressed. In today's busy world we find ourselves playing multiple roles that require a lot of our time. We may even find it hard to communicate our feelings, emotions, wants and needs in our various relationships. As a result we may neglect to take care of ourselves or may focus more on one of our roles while neglecting the others. As a working mother of two, I totally get this and I am passionate about helping other parents navigate these demands. I can help you explore and find ways to cope. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help address the thoughts that led to depression and increased persistent anxiety. I also use Solution Focused Therapy to look at what worked and how to do more of it.
The great thing is that you took the first step by seeking a therapist. This can be scary, but I believe in creating an open and safe environment for you to share issues and feelings without feeling judged. I work with you at a pace you feel comfortable with while building the therapeutic relationship.
