Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns. To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress. My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki. Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

Hi, I’m Maria—a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals find clarity, healing, and resilience through life’s challenges. I became a therapist because I deeply believe in the power of connection and the importance of feeling seen, heard, and understood. I hold a master’s degree in social work and am a licensed clinical social worker. My professional background includes working in outpatient mental health clinics and hospitals, where I’ve supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, parenting stress, identity issues, and relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience working with young adults, adults, and parents—particularly those navigating cultural stressors, life transitions, and caregiver burnout. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness. I tailor treatment to each person’s unique story, helping clients develop healthier thought patterns, regulate emotions, and reconnect with their strengths. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain, therapy can be a space to feel supported and empowered. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path to healing and growth.

As a Licensed Psychotherapist in Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire and Texas, I am dedicated to fostering healing and personal growth through an integrative approach to mental health. My practice is built on the belief that true healing involves the mind, body, and spirit, and this conviction led me to embrace the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method as a powerful tool in my therapeutic work. With extensive training in trauma-informed care, I have witnessed the profound impact that somatic practices can have on emotional and psychological healing. The Trauma Conscious Yoga Method not only complements traditional psychotherapy but also enhances my clients' ability to process trauma at a deeper level. By merging mindfulness-based yoga techniques with evidence-based therapeutic practices, I create a safe space where individuals can explore their feelings, release tension, and cultivate resilience. My approach is tailored to meet each client's unique needs, blending talk therapy with mindful movement and breathwork. This experiential method empowers clients to reconnect with their bodies, develop greater self-awareness, and foster a sense of grounding and stability. I am passionate about guiding individuals on their journeys toward healing, helping them reclaim their stories and find peace in their bodies. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, chronic illness, life stressors, or the lasting effects of trauma, my goal is to empower you to reclaim your narratives and move toward a place of balance and inner peace. For over twenty years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals and families across the social services field. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Ohio University, along with both a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Psychology. Raised between Broward County, Florida, and rural Scioto County, Ohio, I grew up in the 1980s. During this time, mental health was rarely talked about. Living in a divorced household and witnessing the quiet struggles around me sparked my early curiosity about human resilience and emotional well-being. My career began in domestic violence shelters and community mental health centers, and has since expanded to include work in hospitals, nursing homes, managed-care, and home-based settings. These experiences have shaped my deep belief in meeting people where they are and honoring every story with compassion and respect.

Hi! I'm Dorian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work. I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it. Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth. Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.

Building great relationships is one of the most meaningful aspects of life. Hello future client! My name is Ruthie and I'm one of those rare native Floridians. My primary practice approach is relational, using interventions that can help you understand the link between your thoughts, feelings and actions and the effect on your relationships. This will improve your ability to connect with others in ways that will enhance your life. I want to support you to have the loving, fulfilling, respectful relationships you deserve. In my graduate program, I learned that all human behavior develops in the context of relationships. Family relationships are most significant to individual growth. The importance of healthy relationships in a successful life is often underestimated. The value of independence in our society overshadows our human need for connections. The quality of our family, friends, romantic, work and community connections impact our physical, mental and emotional health. Positive interactions promote feelings of connectedness and a sense of self-worth while negative encounters can lead to increased anxiety, a lack of self-confidence, and may even affect your thinking abilities. I earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from University of South Florida in 2009 and obtained a Master’s in Social Work from the University of New England in 2016. I proudly became a licensed therapist in 2020, one good thing that occurred during the Covid pandemic.

I have been a clinical mental health therapist and behavior analyst for children and adults. I have treated and helped people with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, problems with motivation and other life issues unique to each person. I have worked in schools, outpatient practices and homes. My experience has led to form a unique and diverse system for identifying and assessing challenging behavior patterns. I value the human experience and understand that just because a problem is identified, change is not automatic. Understanding the patterns that maintain behavior and thinking patterns can take asking the right questions and exploring unique alternatives to those patterns.
