Hi, I’m Andrea Thomas, a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families. I help clients manage anxiety and stress, heal from trauma and grief, navigate life transitions, strengthen relationships, and build greater confidence, motivation, and self-esteem. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized to your needs. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck, recognize the strengths you already possess, and develop practical tools to help you move forward. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, so you can expect a safe, welcoming space where you can express yourself openly and without judgment. When I’m not in session, I enjoy listening to music and cheering on my favorite football team. These are a few of the ways I recharge and stay grounded. When you’re ready, I’m here to listen, support you, and walk alongside you as you heal from the past, focus on the present, and transform your future.
Our first session will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and creating a comfortable foundation for our work together. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant experiences, personal strengths, support system, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You are always in control of what you choose to share, and you will not be pressured to discuss anything before you feel ready. I’ll also explain my therapeutic approach, answer your questions, and collaborate with you to identify meaningful and realistic goals. Whenever possible, we’ll end the session with an initial strategy or practical next step you can begin using right away.
I bring warmth, compassion, authenticity, and over a decade of clinical experience to every session. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, valued, and respected. I meet you where you are while also helping you move toward where you want to be. My approach balances emotional support with practical guidance. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, I tailor our work to your individual needs, values, culture, and goals. Faith-based support can also be incorporated when it is meaningful to you. You can expect honesty without judgment, encouragement without pressure, and compassionate accountability as we work together to recognize patterns, build effective coping skills, and create lasting change.
My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, discouraged, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. They may be coping with stress, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or a significant life transition. You do not need to have everything figured out or feel completely ready for change before beginning therapy. You only need a willingness to start the conversation. I enjoy working with clients who want to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, establish meaningful boundaries, improve their relationships, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges. Whether your goal is to heal from painful experiences, manage difficult emotions, rediscover your strengths, or create a more balanced and fulfilling life, I’ll meet you where you are and support you as we take meaningful steps forward together.

Integrating spiritual principles with therapeutic techniques, I provide a supportive space where your faith can be a source of strength and healing. During the session, we explore challenges, deepen your spiritual connection, and promote emotional well-being.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) treatment method is used to help individuals accept what is out of their personal control and commit to actions that enhance their life. This is done through mindfulness techniques, defusion techniques, and values clarification.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatment method is used to help individuals effectively manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors by identifying negative thought patterns, challenging and restructuring thoughts, behavioral activation, skill building, and homework assignments.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment method is used to help individuals manage intense emotions and improve relationships through dialectics, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and homework assignments.
Clients engaging in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy can anticipate a focused, collaborative, and goal-driven process that emphasizes their strengths and resources, explores solutions, and promotes positive change in a relatively short period.
