Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

Do you want support in understanding mental health symptoms or building a personalized toolbox of coping skills? Hi, I’m Maryam. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, born and raised, and of Venezuelan descent. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish. I graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in Psychology and Health Sciences and later earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. Across all settings, my priority is to create a non-judgmental, safe, and welcoming environment where you can work toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I take a holistic approach and integrate a variety of therapeutic interventions, including art and music-inspired techniques, cognitive reframing to challenge negative self-talk, solution-focused strategies, and what I like to call “care-frontation.” I often offer optional tasks or reflections between sessions to help deepen your progress.

Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison. It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking. One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?” Let’s start today to solve some of life’s problems and to begin to grasp peace, happiness, love and success.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over six years of experience, and my goal is to create a warm, supportive, and culturally aware space where you can genuinely feel seen and understood. My work centers on helping people navigate emotional ups and downs, major life transitions, and the lingering impact of early experiences that still shape how they move through the world today. I lean on evidence-based approaches, but I bring them into the room in a real, grounded way—so we’re not just talking about what’s hard, but actually uncovering root patterns and building tools that support real, lasting change. And before anything else, I want to acknowledge that choosing to show up for your mental health is huge. Taking that first step says a lot about your strength and your desire to grow, and I’m here to support you through that process.

I believe that one of the most important parts of therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist. Feeling safe, understood, and supported makes real healing possible. I work with young adults healing from childhood trauma and PTSD, and with individuals navigating major life changes related to medical conditions or aging. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence based practices to help you better understand yourself, build resilience, and regain a sense of control. Hey there! It is so nice to meet you. I'm Tanya Parnes, and I have been working with clients for over 15 years to help them overcome obstacles in their paths, find ways through their stressors and identify the solutions they already had within but just couldn't see. When I work with clients they often say, they really enjoy feeling heard, understood and relieved to feel less alone. I meet with a lot of people who feel truly stuck in their circumstances, and just cannot see a way out. They often feel stressed, frustrated and lonely. Everything seems like too much and they cannot figure it out no matter how many ways they've tried. I believe it is completely possible to get out of the same cycles that plague you & keep you stuck on that never ending hamster wheel. It is not always easy, but the end rewards make up for it. Learning to let go, realizing there is a way forward and seeing a future without the problems that have been recurring where things are more manageable than ever before is my goal. My clinical skills and techniques will help you get there by learning tools that help you end those cycles and start living the life you have always wanted and dreamed of. Together, we will find better ways to handle difficulties and work through tough times redirecting energy and focus to things that are in your control which you have the power to change!

I am licensed in Florida with 10+ years of professional work experience in conflict resolution and mental health counseling. I believe that empowerment is an essential and powerful tool in the healing process. I approach the therapist-client relationship with an open heart and mind, building upon trust, collaboration, and empathy to produce positive, transformative outcomes. I seek to facilitate change by entering the client’s psychological world, utilizing a phenomenological lens; this allows me to focus on the lived experiences of each individual and the personal meaning behind their circumstances past, present, and future to determine the most effective therapeutic interventions. My holistic approach to psychotherapy focuses on the overall relationship between mind, body & spirit. I have experience in helping clients with LGBTQ+ related issues, relationship issues, life transitions, family conflicts, coping with grief, coping with loss, motivation, and self esteem. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

Hello! I’m a Florida-based Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself as you navigate stress, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. As a former competitive athlete, I’ve learned firsthand the value of perseverance, resilience, teamwork, and showing up even when things feel difficult. These experiences have shaped both who I am and how I approach therapy. I see therapy as a partnership built on trust, genuine connection, and empathy. I’m a licensed clinical social worker who is deeply curious about people, who we are, and what it takes to become who we want to be. I value authenticity, curiosity, and diverse perspectives. I believe understanding ourselves means looking at the whole picture: our experiences, relationships, identities, our communities and the systems that shape them. When we do that, we expand our capacity for connection, growth, and change. Healing is not always easy or linear; it requires us to grow, sit with discomfort, challenge what we know, and try something different. As the founder Sana Libre, a healing and learning practice, I cultivate spaces that offer people compassion, accountability, and grace.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

I believe therapy is less about having all the answers and more about having a place where you can be honest about what’s really going on. Life can be complicated, and sometimes we just need someone who will listen without judgment, help us make sense of things, and walk alongside us as we figure out what comes next. My practice is grounded in connection, curiosity, and creating a space where you can show up as yourself. You don’t have to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We can start wherever you are and take it from there. I’m interested in the whole person—not just the problem that brings you in. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, patterns, and beliefs that may be shaping how you see yourself and navigate the world. I also believe therapy should be useful outside the room, so our work can include practical tools and new ways of approaching the things that matter most to you. I don’t believe growth means becoming a different person. To me, it’s often about becoming more connected to who you already are—understanding yourself more deeply, trusting your voice, setting boundaries, and making choices that feel true to you. My hope is that our work feels like a genuine partnership: a place where you feel seen, understood, and supported while creating meaningful change in your life.

Are you experiencing frustration, confusion or turmoil in your life? Even to the point where you see no sense of direction while trying to navigate through life? At times, this can be overwhelming for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, including other mental health disorders. Hi! My name is Stephaney and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with almost a decade of experience in treating adults and adolescents for various mental health challenges and co-occurring diagnoses. I was inspired to become a therapist by my unique experience migrating to the United States at the age of 13 and attending middle school which was very challenging for me. Culture shock became my reality and one that would eventually lead me to “Severe anxiety.” Even with a very strong family support system, I felt alone and trapped by my own inner fears and self-defeating thoughts. Constant worry and fear of being bullied by my peers became my everyday experience. Through all these obstacles, I was able to process my feelings and experiences with my faith in Jesus Christ, supportive family, and a few good friends. To this extent, I have come to recognize the benefits of a strong support system and the need for social and relational connection. As a mental health counselor, I’m privileged to be a part of that support system for many people. I work with my clients to connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, all while providing sound strategies to promote healthier thought processes. I believe that every human being deserves a chance to be heard and understood, and therapy has taught me that as human beings, we are more alike than different. So as your therapist, I’m excited to be a listening ear for you and help guide you toward your goals.

Hello! I’m so glad you took the first step to make meaningful change in your life. I’d love the opportunity to partner with you and learn about your strengths, struggles, and how we move forward together. I believe we all have the answers to the big questions in our lives, but sometimes we get stuck or need a non-judgmental perspective to help us. As someone who grew up in a military family and is now a military spouse, I understand the unique lifestyle and challenges that military spouses face. As someone who has experienced grief and the loss of a loved one to cancer and a baby to miscarriage, I can empathize with loss and the waves of despair that grief can bring. I take an eclectic approach to therapy and aim to meet you wherever you are, drawing on your experiences and providing you with tools to help guide you toward your goals.

I’m a direct, honest therapist who believes real change happens when we stop pretending things are fine. I work especially well with individuals who feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, over-functioning, or putting others’ needs before their own. I help clients develop healthier boundaries, strengthen self-worth, and create relationships that feel more balanced and authentic. I understand the tug-of-war between wanting relief and wanting control — and how exhausting it is to live in that space. I also get how hard it is to find balance in a world that moves too fast and demands too much. If you’re tired of surface-level fixes, quick advice, or being told what you should do, we’ll probably work well together. I’m not a quick-fix or band-aid therapist. My goal is to help you slow things down, get honest, and reconnect with your truth — not the version of you shaped by pressure, expectations, or survival mode.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience supporting adults through cancer, survivorship, caregiving, and other major life and medical transitions. My work often focuses on the emotional and relational impact of these experiences—including anxiety, grief, changes in identity and body image, relationship concerns, and shifts in intimacy and sexual health. I also work with adults who want to better understand themselves and the patterns that show up in their relationships, especially during times of change, uncertainty, or stress. I also specialize in sexual health and intimacy, supporting individuals who are navigating desire differences, sexual shame, body image concerns, or changes related to illness, stress, aging, or past experiences. These can be difficult topics to talk about, but they are an important part of emotional and relational well-being—and they deserve thoughtful, non-judgmental care. My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and tailored to your unique needs. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you better understand what you’re carrying, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with more clarity, self-compassion, and intention.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.
