I am the wife of a Retired Combat Veteran and a mother to four beautiful children. I understand the complexities of being separated from your spouse for extended periods and feeling alone in the relationship and raising the children. Even the most well-prepared and successful person can find themselves wondering how things became so complicated, messy, or challenging, and feel at a loss when it comes to what to do to put the pieces back together. People have been shaped and molded by their past experiences, both good and bad. Often, people feel drawn to focus on the bad experiences, leading to pain and struggles of many kinds.

I am someone who likes to make a difference. I love helping people, and love seeing the changes client's can make when they know the path through. My therapeutic approach is inspired by a profound message from one of my favorite therapists: “You may feel like you're in the desert right now, but I will walk beside you. I won't pull you or push you. When you're tired, we'll rest. When you're scared, I'll stand with you. When you're sad, I'll sit with you. Together, we will reach the other side.” These words continue to resonate deeply with me and shape my compassionate, supportive practice.

Love "The first duty of love is to listen." When someone truly listens the problems come to light and can be healed, resolved. Your unique capabilities and telling of your story in the ways you choose to resolve what brings you here are highly valued in the counseling process. I may use assessments and diagnoses but may also help with adjustment or not need to label. I assess the problem and offer researched solutions proven to work. I use a variety of therapies, including a person centered approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also offer Equine and Canine Assisted therapy. I offer tele-therapy and remote video counseling.

Kristian received her Bachelor's degree at the University of North Florida followed by her Masters at Webster University. She engages others by building a rapport while also assisting her families to achieve set goals. She works with individuals ages 5-100, families, adolescents, drug addicts, and parents who need guidance. Some specialty skills include problem-solving, communication, coping skills, and relaxation exercises for anxiety. Kristian focuses on improving the quality of life of individuals and families by compassionately serving their mental health, addiction, special education, and community support needs.
