Are you struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression or other uncomfortable emotions? Has something happened in your life recently (or even long ago) that is causing you distress, interfering perhaps with your work, school, relationships or otherwise? To begin with, you're not alone! Also, there is help available. I'm Lynn, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Maryland and Florida. I've been a practicing psychotherapist for the past 25 years. Having worked in private practice, hospitals, mental health centers and hospice, I am familiar and comfortable working with all ages, stages of life, sexual orientation, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I have found the single most important factor in achieving successful outcomes in counseling is the connection between therapist and client. Therefore, I strive to bring my authentic, caring, and non judgmental self to each and every encounter I have with my clients. My diverse therapeutic background allows me to use multiple modalities in counseling clients. I strive to tailor my counseling techniques to match each individual's needs. Typically, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy help clients grow, gain insights into their behavior(s) as well as others and gain tools and skills in managing difficult emotions or situations in their lives. Deciding to enter into counseling can be a scary thought for many. If you are thinking about therapy, I encourage you to give yourself the gift of self-care and good mental and emotional health by taking that first step. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

You may feel desperate, alone, and misunderstood. You feel like you are floating in the bottom of a lake and cannot see the light above you. Everyday, you feel like you are just going through the motions. If this describes you, then I may be the therapist for you. In my nearly twenty years of experience, I have helped people like you reach their potential and achieve the recovery that they needed. There is no set system or quick fix as others may promise, but I will walk down the road with you. My primary focus is on helping you deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I try and help you be okay with things that are beyond your control and work with you to establish yourself as the protagonist in your own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.

I am passionate about helping individuals and couples experience meaningful growth, healing, and lasting change. I believe mental health care should be accessible, free from stigma, and viewed as a normal part of living a healthy, balanced life. As a U.S. Army veteran, I bring extensive experience working with individuals and couples navigating stress, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). My name is Algelis Gonzalez, though I am commonly known as Al. My motivation to become a therapist stems from my personal journey. Growing up in a Latino culture, I developed a curiosity about people both within my community and beyond. This curiosity has driven me to understand the reasons behind our behaviors, both positive and negative. Throughout my career as a therapist, I continue to learn and grow, drawing from the vast knowledge available in the field. I am deeply committed to helping my clients embrace their true selves, regardless of their personality traits—whether they are humorous, quiet and shy, hesitant to trust, or feeling frustrated with the world. I believe that everyone is welcome in my practice. Recognizing that none of us are perfect and that we are all striving to make sense of life’s complexities, I focus on exploring my clients’ experiences with respect and understanding. My goal is to facilitate their growth in ways they may not have previously thought possible.

About me I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 26 years of professional experience, as well as a Qualified Supervisor for new interns. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, and East Brunswick, NJ, until age 23, I moved to Pembroke Pines, Jupiter, and now reside in Sarasota, FL. I have personally conquered Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Major Depression, Anxiety, OCD, CPTSD, Addictions of Gambling, Sex, Cars, and Weed, Codependency, Divorce, Custody, and Parenting Issues. I have the ability to mend relationships, as I have brought my relationship with my wife from shambles to diamonds, and our "ship" is still moving North in the direction we both want, despite our differences and disagreements along the way. There is no more all-or-nothing thinking or engagement in back-and-forth arguments or break-ups; instead, there is peace, love, cooling off, and acceptance of our different attachment styles, love languages, personalities, and brain designs. I am 6 years and 9 months sober from marijuana (December 30, 2019), and sober from the addictions of gambling, sex, and buying expensive cars beyond my means. I firmly believe we learn something new or reinforce a life lesson every day. Personal and Professional Growth equates to extra Health, Happiness, and Longevity. I have 9-year-old fraternal twin boys, 2 stepchildren, ages 25 and 26, two cats and two dogs, a wife, and a mother-in-law.

Nǐ hǎo / Hello! I am a licensed mental health therapist in Florida with over 20 years of experience helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, school-related stress, relationship issues, and major life challenges. Many of the people I support come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally drained, or unsure how to move forward. I believe therapy works best when goals are clear, practical, and measurable, so we can track progress in a meaningful way. I also believe humor can be a powerful part of healing, helping create a more relaxed and human space for growth. I believe strong therapy starts with listening, truly understanding who you are, what you have been through, and what matters most to you. I use evidence-based treatment to help clients address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship stress, school concerns, and emotional overwhelm. Together, we set goals that align with your values. In my leisure time I play music instruments, I enjoy cooking, Hotpot is my favorite food. I’m Joseph Contes, but many call me “Joe”, and if you want you can too. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, and founder of Crosscurrent Health. My approach to therapy is grounded, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a focus on helping people feel understood while building practical tools for lasting change. I work with children ages 8 and up, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity development, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Over the years, I have worked across a wide range of clinical settings including crisis services, emergency psychiatry, community mental health, correctional environments, and higher education. Those experiences have shaped the way I approach therapy today: calm, adaptable, and centered on meeting people where they are without judgment. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I believe therapy works best when it feels like a steady, genuine partnership rather than a one-size-fits-all process. My work integrates evidence-based approaches including CBT, CPT, TF-CBT, and family-focused interventions while remaining flexible to each person’s needs, strengths, and goals. I also provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care and strive to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences openly. At the heart of my work is the belief that growth happens when clarity meets support. Whether someone is working through past experiences, managing current stressors, or trying to reconnect with themselves and others, my goal is to help them move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and steadiness through life’s crosscurrents.

Hi, I’m Susan—a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Professional, and Substance Abuse Professional. I hold a master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of West Florida and have been working in the mental health and substance abuse field since 2009 (licensed since 2012). My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and real partnership. I work as hard as you do to help you return to your best self. I believe lasting change happens between sessions—so I give you practical tools and support, but the real healing comes from what you do with them. I’ve worked in private practice, addiction clinics, homeless veteran services, military family counseling, and the county jail. Outside of work, I enjoy walking, biking, swimming, travel, cooking, gardening, and time with loved ones.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship challenges? Many individuals find themselves stuck despite wanting meaningful change, especially when emotional distress begins to interfere with daily functioning and overall well-being. Therapy offers a structured and supportive space to better understand these challenges and develop effective coping strategies. Seeking professional support is an important first step, and meaningful change occurs through intentional work both in and outside the therapy setting. My name is Mick Desrameaux, LMHC, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience treating anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related symptoms, substance use concerns, and co-occurring mental health conditions. I work collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, emotional regulation, and insight into patterns that affect relationships and personal growth. My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I provide a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental therapy environment where clients feel respected and supported. My goal is to help individuals feel empowered, build healthier relationships, and develop practical skills for long-term emotional stability. I am committed to delivering client-centered, ethical, and culturally responsive mental health counseling, supporting clients as they move toward greater balance, resilience, and overall mental wellness.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to look at my page! Finding the right therapist can be a daunting process. So, my hope is that I can do my part to help you to feel comfortable...remove some of the awkwardness from the process...and ideally, have you feeling motivated and excited about starting your therapeutic journey! A little bit about me and how I approach the therapeutic process... Without question, one of the comments I hear most from clients is that they're always surprised by how much they actually ENJOY our sessions —even when working through some of their most difficult challenges. I jokingly tell people that my "superpower" is that I'm really good at making therapy feel like a great conversation between two people - and one of those people just HAPPENS to be a therapist who helps you work through the things that are keeping you stuck. Therapy should make you feel as though you are getting something out of this...and that you are growing, healing - and thriving because of it. I've been fortunate to be able to help people from all walks of life and what I have learned is that regardless of background, culture, socioeconomic status, or life circumstances, people want many of the same things—meaningful relationships, resilience through life's challenges, and a sense of purpose/fulfillment. So, whether you're facing personal challenges, professional pressures, or both, my goal is to help you get on the path where you can finally feel like you not only have a handle on this thing called Life - but that you are THRIVING in it!

Hello, my name is Larry and I have been helping people find contentment, purpose, and fulfillment in life for many years. I work with clients from ages 12 -112 and have a warm and pragmatic approach to life and therapy. I work with individuals, couples, and families in discovering congruence that has been a proven part of my life as a husband, father, and grandfather. My wife and I have seven children (five from birth and two from adoption). We will look at life as a classroom and use every experience for growth and strengthening for one's self and others. We will learn to regulate our emotions, develop genuine love for others, and follow a path of freedom and purpose. Our hope is to gain a passion for life and hope for the future.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a space where you feel supported, understood, and also empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. My approach is warm, direct, practical, and trauma-informed. I enjoy helping clients understand the deeper patterns behind their emotions, relationships, behaviors, and reactions while developing healthier ways to cope, communicate, set boundaries, and move forward. I work especially well with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-worth concerns, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, and difficulty establishing healthy boundaries. I believe insight is important, but therapy should also give you tools you can actually use outside of the session. As a therapist, I am compassionate but straightforward. I will meet you where you are without judgment, while also encouraging you to challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you. My goal is to help you develop a stronger understanding of yourself, trust your own judgment, regulate your emotions more effectively, and create a life and relationships that feel healthier, calmer, and more aligned with who you want to be.

Hi. I'm Marquita and I've been a social worker for 18 years and counting. I strive to help my clients navigate this challenging journey we know as life. Sometimes on this journey, we experience things such as anxiety, depression, life changes, set backs, and other bumps in the road, but what I've learned is that we can almost always navigate through or around them and keep on going. I use some conventional as well as unconventional techniques to work with my clients. I like to start where you are and not where I think you should be. We will use a mixture of cognitive behavioral, behavioral, mindfulness, and many other techniques to help us solve problems that we identify. I say "we", because we will do this together, but I allow you to drive. That just means I trust that you know yourself better than I do, but I will strive to help you find out just how strong you are and empower you to thrive in your life. We can do this together!
