New to Grow
Nǐ hǎo / Hello! I am a licensed mental health therapist in Florida with over 20 years of experience helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, school-related stress, relationship issues, and major life challenges. Many of the people I support come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally drained, or unsure how to move forward. I believe therapy works best when goals are clear, practical, and measurable, so we can track progress in a meaningful way. I also believe humor can be a powerful part of healing, helping create a more relaxed and human space for growth. I believe strong therapy starts with listening, truly understanding who you are, what you have been through, and what matters most to you. I use evidence-based treatment to help clients address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship stress, school concerns, and emotional overwhelm. Together, we set goals that align with your values. In my leisure time I play music instruments, I enjoy cooking, Hotpot is my favorite food. I speak mandarin besides English and I consider myself as a people person. I am open minded willing to learn from others.
During our initial meeting, I would like to take some time to establish a human connection by introducing myself. I will invite you to share a bit about yourself, including your strengths and hobbies, as well as the areas you would like to work on. I will also attend to your specific concerns, discuss your expectations for therapy, and explain how my approach can help you reach your goals.
I am detail-oriented, patient, and understanding in my work with clients. I am a strong believer in evidence-based therapy, utilizing data and numbers to track specific changes in behavior. To ensure clinical efficacy, I focus on behavioral changes that are both measurable and tangible. As part of my practice, I conduct periodic reviews so that clients remain aware of their progress toward their goals, as well as any areas requiring continuous effort. I make it a priority to identify small improvements and praise clients, using these moments as positive reinforcement to encourage larger, long-term changes.
I am best positioned to serve the following: Transitioning issues (career change, entering college, establish in a new country e.g.) marital conflicts, parenting skills, trauma impact, depression, grief and anger management. ideal clients are those who are insightful , motivated , goal oriented. Ideal clients are the ones who can attend sessions consistently for therapy to be effective. I am very good at working with Asian clients and elderly clients. I speak Mandarin.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven methodology for helping clients achieve behavioral change through cognitive restructuring. The core philosophy of CBT is that human emotions, thinking, and behavior are interconnected and influence one another. In my 21 years of practice, I have successfully helped my clients identify and address irrational thinking patterns that lead to emotional turmoil and interpersonal conflicts, or prevent them from reaching their goals. I have assisted clients in replacing irrational thinking with positive, reasonable thinking; this cognitive transformation serves as the foundation for developing new value systems and belief structures that ultimately drive behavioral change.
