I am passionate about helping individuals and couples experience meaningful growth, healing, and lasting change. I believe mental health care should be accessible, free from stigma, and viewed as a normal part of living a healthy, balanced life. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I strive to create a safe environment where clients feel understood while also being thoughtfully challenged to examine unhelpful patterns, develop new perspectives, and build practical skills for lasting change. I believe that empathy, authenticity, and, when appropriate, humor can foster deeper connection and meaningful therapeutic progress. As a U.S. Army veteran, I bring extensive experience working with individuals and couples navigating stress, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). My areas of specialization include anger management, substance use and behavioral addictions, anxiety, depression, emotional suppression, compulsive sexual behaviors, and recovery. I also enjoy working with couples to strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, rebuild trust, resolve conflict, and cultivate greater intimacy.

I’m a direct, honest therapist who believes real change happens when we stop pretending things are fine. I work especially well with individuals who feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, over-functioning, or putting others’ needs before their own. I help clients develop healthier boundaries, strengthen self-worth, and create relationships that feel more balanced and authentic. I understand the tug-of-war between wanting relief and wanting control — and how exhausting it is to live in that space. I also get how hard it is to find balance in a world that moves too fast and demands too much. If you’re tired of surface-level fixes, quick advice, or being told what you should do, we’ll probably work well together. I’m not a quick-fix or band-aid therapist. My goal is to help you slow things down, get honest, and reconnect with your truth — not the version of you shaped by pressure, expectations, or survival mode.

Welcome! I know how hard it can be to reach out for support. If you're here, I want you to know that you're not alone and you don't have to figure everything out by yourself. I'm someone who believes in the power of feeling seen, heard, and understood. I believe that therapy should feel like a real conversation where you can breathe, think, and be real, not a clinical checklist. I believe you deserve a space where you don't have to pretend, perform, or be "put together". Therapy with me is about helping you feel safe enough to be your real, unfiltered self. The parts that feel strong and the parts that feel messy. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida and for over 6 years I've helped adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. A lot of the people that I work with are tired of wearing masks- the "strong one", the "fun one", the "reliable one". Underneath, they feel overwhelmed, anxious, numb, or disconnected from who they used to be. I help create a space where you can take those masks off without fear. You don't have to know the right words. You don't have to have everything figured out. You just have to show up as you are. Together, we'll work through what you're carrying and build tools that feel realistic and fit your real life. If you're tired of pretending and ready for a space where you can just be real, I'd love to support you.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing without feeling judged, rushed, or pressured to have everything figured out. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, burnout, and difficulties with self-esteem. My approach is direct, compassionate, and practical. We won't just talk about what's happening in your life; we'll work to understand the patterns keeping you stuck and develop tools to help you move forward. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health, I bring a systems-oriented perspective to individual therapy. I help clients explore how their relationships, upbringing, experiences, and beliefs influence the way they see themselves and interact with others. Whether you're struggling to establish boundaries, feeling disconnected from yourself, processing a difficult relationship, or simply tired of carrying everything alone, our work will focus on helping you build emotional clarity, confidence, and healthier ways of navigating life. *Currently accepting new clients for individual therapy only. My name is Algelis Gonzalez, though I am commonly known as Al. My motivation to become a therapist stems from my personal journey. Growing up in a Latino culture, I developed a curiosity about people both within my community and beyond. This curiosity has driven me to understand the reasons behind our behaviors, both positive and negative. Throughout my career as a therapist, I continue to learn and grow, drawing from the vast knowledge available in the field. I am deeply committed to helping my clients embrace their true selves, regardless of their personality traits—whether they are humorous, quiet and shy, hesitant to trust, or feeling frustrated with the world. I believe that everyone is welcome in my practice. Recognizing that none of us are perfect and that we are all striving to make sense of life’s complexities, I focus on exploring my clients’ experiences with respect and understanding. Hi. I am an experienced social worker who entered a new professional chapter later in life, returning to train for my LCSW in my 50's. Prior to that, I was a 35 year veteran of hospital based social work which gave me experience working with people in crisis, complex systems, difficult decisions, and human suffering. I believe I have brought that experience into psychotherapy as I am living proof that you don't start from zero when you make a major change and that there is always a solution, even if things look unchangeable. Professionally, I believe that insight without action leads to stagnation and frustration and without a plan of action, clients often become discouraged. Much of my work will involve helping you identify a next right step in addressing challenges.

Hi, I'm Katie, a Licensed Clinical Social. Helping and supporting others has been a driving factor in my life; therefore, I began my career as a teacher. My education and experience in the classroom greatly influenced me; however, I saw how difficult it is to learn when one is struggling with many emotional and mental health needs. While in graduate school, I transitioned to working with families in more of a case management role. During that time, I started noticing how the adults I worked with were often struggling and had not received the help they needed. After completing graduate school, I began working in an inpatient hospital that treats mental health and chemical dependency. After several years working with patients individually and facilitating group therapy, I transitioned to managing an intensive outpatient mental health program for senior adults. In this role, I facilitated group therapy and met with patients individually at times. I greatly enjoyed getting to know my clients and cheering alongside them as they made progress. While I value group therapy, I recognize that it is not the right fit for everyone. Therefore, I have set up a private practice to meet the needs of individuals in ways I was unable to do in previous roles. I believe change is possible and that each person has strengths and life experiences that they can draw upon to help themselves move forward. My passion is helping clients utilize what they already have, learn additional tools for coping, and develop healthier ways of thinking.

What typically surprises people is that I am the 11th of 13 children - all from the same parents. Growing up with so many siblings has given me a great opportunity to learn about family dynamics and effective discipline. My parents did a great job of maintaining a safe and well-behaved home, and I use their example as a template while also incorporating my own experience as a parent for working with families today. As for my approach to therapy, I use several different theories depending on the need of the client; however, my primary mode is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It just fits my personality. If you are looking for a therapist who focuses solely on your emotions and how you're feeling on any given day, then I will not be a good fit for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a therapist who not only does all that but who will also listen to everything you say (as well as the meaning behind what you say) and then challenge your thinking habits to help you find more effective and productive thinking patterns, then I'm on board for that. I learned a long time ago that many clients do not want things "Sugar Coated", but rather prefer their therapist to be respectfully bold and blunt. If this is who you are looking for in a therapist, then let's get to work.

After earning my Master’s in Social Work, I worked as a school-based therapist, where I witnessed the transformative power of accessible, empathetic care within educational settings. Currently, after I pursued my Doctorate in Social Work, my focus has expanded to helping individuals of all ages reach their full potential and experience greater happiness and fulfillment in life. I bring a strengths-based, client-centered approach to every session, grounded in evidence-based practice and a genuine belief in the capacity for growth and healing. My work is not just a profession—it’s a lifelong commitment to walking alongside others on their journey toward well-being and empowerment.

I specialize in working with clients who are motived, courageous, and open to exploring their inner world. My goal is to help others achieve their goals. As a licensed clinical social worker, I offer a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where clients can slow down, reflect, and better understand themselves. My approach is person centered and trauma-informed, with a strong foundation in cognitive behavioral and strengths based therapies. Even if clients are not quite sure what that looks like. I help clients by navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, or life transitions. Most people are overwhelmed by pressure. What they tend to want most is clarity, peace, and to feel more connected. They're seeking safe, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their thoughts freely and begin to moe toward a life that feels more aligned and intentional.

Hi, I’m Sarah Sohal, DSW, LICSW, a licensed clinical social worker offering Telehealth therapy for adults and older adults. I specialize in supporting clients through life transitions and helping them process recent stressors that may feel overwhelming or disruptive. My Punjabi last name reflects my family through marriage rather than my own cultural background. My husband and our daughter are Punjabi, and being part of their family has given me a meaningful appreciation for South Asian culture while reinforcing my commitment to providing culturally humble, respectful, and inclusive care for clients from diverse backgrounds. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused interventions, and mindfulness to help clients gain clarity, build resilience, and develop practical tools for moving forward. Whether you're navigating a career change, retirement, caregiving responsibilities, loss, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can offer a space to reflect, reset, and grow. I believe in meeting clients where they are, and creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where they feel heard and empowered. If you're looking for thoughtful, goal-oriented support during a challenging time, I’d be honored to work with you. *Please note- at this time I am only offering individual therapy, and am unable to offer couples or family therapy

I'm a psychotherapist with 35-plus years of experience. After completing training in clinical social work and psychology at the University of Maryland (M.S.W., 1988) and Saybrook Institute (Ph.D., 1991), I began practicing as a family, couples and individual therapist. I have hosted on radio/podcasts, have written two books and thousands of self-help articles in my "Life's a Beach" column for nationwide Gannett media. I love working with clients in the here-and-now, and finding solutions to move forward with life. My primary goal is to help you help yourself. I will guide and coach you, not tell you what to do. Diagnostic labels are useful at times, but you are not your labels. I'm your thinking partner: We'll reason and think our way to what makes sense together.

Hi, I'm Taylor. I'm so glad you're here. It’s no small thing making the decision to sign up to talk to a stranger about the overwhelming and very often draining circumstances that you’re in. I want to highlight how much being on this site, and looking through profiles is such a significant step toward your mental health goals. Anxiety and improving self image are at the core of my work. I focus on helping clients develop flexible thinking and self-compassion — practical tools that help you step away from self-criticism and patterns that keep life feeling heavy. The goal of this work isn't about becoming a perfect version of yourself. It's about learning to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility, confidence, and self-understanding.

I’m a licensed therapist who is passionate about helping individuals find balance, clarity, and healing in the midst of life’s challenges. I specialize in working with adults—particularly women and helping professionals—who are navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, while also honoring the importance of each client’s unique experiences, values, and cultural background. I use an integrative style that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based work, mindfulness, and, for those who desire it, faith-based counseling. I believe that therapy should be both practical and meaningful—providing you with tools you can use in your daily life while also creating space for deeper insight and lasting change. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples. My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy. I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility. I'm so glad you're here! I'm an LICSW with over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of clients. My background includes extensive experience serving children, teens, young adults, parents, and families in an outpatient setting. I bring a casual, down to earth approach to therapy with a focus on making the process feel approachable and positive. If you're someone who is feeling hesitant to start therapy for yourself or your child, or you’ve struggled to find a therapist who is a good fit; know that my first priority is to make it feel comfortable, natural and so much less daunting than you might be thinking. Just book a session and show up. Leap and the net will appear! A little more about me: I'm a Minnesota native currently living in Florida. I spend a lot of my time as a sports mom on the sidelines at soccer and volleyball games, watching professional hockey (especially the MN Wild!), and being hopelessly bad at gardening in Florida.
