If you’re a client who works with me, you can trust that you have a therapist with the highest level of education and training (B.A from Princeton; Ph.D. from UCLA), extensive experience working with individuals and couples, and a record of professional accomplishment (University Professor, Director of a Graduate Program in Counseling, author of multiple books and articles in the areas of Clinical Psychology and Human Development.)
In addition to my work in psychology, I have a background in the creative arts as a Grammy award-winning songwriter and a published novelist. Because of this added dimension, some of my clients have welcomed suggestions for excellent stories, novels, movies, or television shows that depict characters who face similar challenges to their own and our discussions of these works and characters have provided these clients with another valuable source of understanding and growth.
On a personal note, I grew up on the East Coast before relocating to California and I’m the father of two daughters.
Hi, I'm Eliana.

Hi there, I’m Michelle,
Have you not felt like yourself lately? Are you struggling to find that happy, healthy, hopeful place in life? Whether it be from relationships, personal, or just life, sometimes we can just feel overwhelmed and out of sync with who we were or who we would like to become.
I am here to help facilitate that change. Together we can target the obstacles in your life and make a plan of action to put you on the right path. By using an integrative approach with effective therapeutic modalities we focus on the whole being to get you in balance.
My style is eclectic utilizing an empathetic position to build rapport while empowering you to become the stronger happier version of self. I combine affirmations and metaphoric narrative to separate you from the problem, allowing you to externalize the issues rather than internalize them.
I will meet you right where you are and provide a safe place for you to thrive and move forward.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” ~Martin Luther King Jr.

Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) currently based and practicing in Oregon, though with an active license in California as well. I attended California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) for graduate school and lived in the Bay Area for a decade before moving to Portland, OR shortly before the pandemic. I have over thirteen years of experience as a "generalist" therapist, though I specialize in supporting individuals in the midst of life transitions, including but not limited to: relationship challenges, moves to a new city or state, new or chronic medical diagnoses, career and work problems, spiritual questioning, transitions into the workforce or retirement. I do NOT work with couples at this time. While I consider the psychological theories behind my work, I hold them lightly in the room, believing most fundamentally in the importance of an adaptive, culturally-sensitive, non-judgmental stance with my clients.

I'm Sheldon like the TV show! (Big Bang Theory). I help analytical high-achieving adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety and depression untangle their inner world and reconnect with their deeper self-using insight-driven therapy, dream exploration, and a creative lens that helps them uncover what's been buried beneath the surface.
Do you often say, "I'm successful on the outside but exhausted and anxious inside," "overthinking everything, but still feeling stuck," or being in a "constant sense of restlessness or dissatisfaction," or being a person who "struggles to access or name emotions clearly." I help clients have greater awareness and emotional clarity and begin to feel grounded, self-trusting and more internally connected. I hope to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms through deeper insight and ability to recognize and break unconscious patterns. I help clients discover meaning through creative exploration, and dream work. I want clients to increase their confidence in navigating relationships and decisions and moving from analysis paralysis to self-acceptance and expression.

As your therapist, my mission is to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful growth, healing, and the tools to navigate life with confidence and resilience.
I’m Michelle, and I am so glad you’re taking this brave step on your wellness journey. Life is full of ups and downs, and sometimes we encounter obstacles that leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or even disconnected from who we are. These challenges might stem from past trauma, ongoing stress, or life transitions that feel too big to manage alone. My passion is walking alongside my clients to help them reconnect with their strengths, rediscover their self-worth, and build a path toward a more fulfilling and joyful life.
Hi! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in providing compassionate and effective therapy to individuals, couples, and families. My practice focuses on addressing mental health challenges, navigating life transitions, and promoting overall well-being through evidence-based interventions and a client-centered approach. I am committed to creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their concerns, develop coping strategies, and achieve their therapeutic goals.
I am a TRAUMA based therapist of Mexican descent, and my work is grounded in understanding how trauma, culture, and identity shape emotional well-being. My background and training allow me to approach healing through both a clinical and cultural lens, honoring lived experience, family systems and generational resilience. This is Trauma based therapy which means we may explore childhood experiences, family relationships and generational patterns that continue to impact your current life. Potential clients are those who are having to navigate living in a society that profiles, polices, and dehumanizes People of Color and immigrant bodies. Culturally rooted and trauma aware, treatment will focus on utilizing EMDR versus traditional talk therapy. A therapist who "gets it" without the need to explain culture or values. More specifically, I want to create a safe space and invite individuals who are being racially profiled and targeted in public spaces, anxiety tied to immigration status, racial/cultural trauma, emotional impact of racism/deportation fears, shame/guilt, hypervigilance, depression, emotional numbness, family pressure, people pleasing, perfectionism, made to feel as they are "not good enough", feeling responsible for everyone's emotions, cultural identity, internalized shame or silence around your culture/identity/or needs, family expectations, or intergenerational trauma. You may feel torn between cultures, exhausted by the need to explain yourself or burdened by stories and silence that were passed down to you. You are NOT broken, you have been surviving utilizing survival responses, passed down out of love, pain and necessity.
I’m Elizabeth Hughes, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping adults build healthier, more satisfying relationships. I work with individuals who are ready to make meaningful change and develop practical skills that improve daily life. I offer individual therapy for adult focused on lasting change. Hi, I am Estee,
Do you want to improve the way you feel? We can work to create that!
In a safe, nurturing space we actively engage in a process of self discovery that facilitates growth. We undertake the task together by uncovering old patterns that do not serve us anymore and replacing them with new ones that are in alignment with our higher potential. This is done with a technique called Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy or EFIT. EFIT is an evidence based technique that has been proven time and time again to help.
Hello! As a licensed clinical therapist, I provide respectful and compassionate services to help you identify your goals, and support you in coping with challenges along the way to achieving them. I have a social justice orientation that recognizes the impact of oppression, discrimination, and marginalization on mental health. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated fairly and kindly, and that our behaviors serve a function, whether unhealthy or healthy, understood or misunderstood.
I work with clients who struggle with various issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship problems, identity, and self-esteem. I use evidence-based approaches that are tailored to your unique needs and preferences. Some of the techniques I use include teaching skills around emotion regulation and distress tolerance, incorporating narrative therapy practices and cultural relational understanding of trauma and healing.
My aim is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I will listen to you with empathy and curiosity, and help you find new ways of understanding and effectively responding to what is coming your way. Together, we will work on developing your strengths, fortifying your resiliency, and further embodying your values in your day-to-day life.
If you are interested in working with me, please contact me to schedule a consultation. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey.

Hello! I’m Brenda De Monge, a passionate Marriage and Family Therapist with over 21 years of experience in community mental health. Helping and supporting youth, parents, & individuals from various cultures & socio-economic backgrounds affected by trauma. When working with trauma, sexual, physical, emotional, and domestic violence, my number one priority is safety & meeting my clients where they are, by supporting them & reaching their goals. I use these treatment methods:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In my practice, I have used CBT to help clients challenge recurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. CBT is effective in understanding how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another. We can implement this in therapy to help you live a less anxious and stressful life.
• Trauma-Focused CBT is a short-term therapy designed for children ages 3-18 who have experienced various types of traumas, including physical, emotional, & sexual abuse. When working with young children, the parents/caregivers are key, as they provide ongoing support. By attending sessions, parents will gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of the issues. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with families using this model, & it has been helpful to them.
• Seeking Safety is a treatment approach I have used with clients for more than 15 years. It assists individuals dealing with trauma & addiction by emphasizing safety and coping skills.
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) has proven to be a helpful approach in easing obsessive thoughts, reducing intrusive memories, & empowering clients to stay calm while learning ways to handle future challenges and symptoms. Since 2019, I’ve supported children, teens, & adults in managing their post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, & panic disorder through EMDR. In addition, I’ve helped clients with war-related trauma & child sexual assault.

I started out as a kid from Queens, NY who volunteered on the weekends working with individuals with autism while I was in high school. That propelled me into the world of social services. From there, I worked with individuals with severe psychiatric concerns, to families in need throughout NYC, the shelter system, students in higher education, residential group homes for system impacted adolescence and community mental health in the Southern California region. I believe we all have our stories from lived experiences that play a direct role in our daily struggles. This is why I utilize a psychodynamic & mindfulness approach that helps folks to understand what factors of their past feeds the stressors of their present and how to live more freely in the “now”.
