(she/her)
Hello! My name is Tessa Hodge and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Is anxiety, depression, or trauma keeping you from living your dreams? Are you looking to take the first step in healing, taking control of your fears, and creating better relationships? Taking that first step and reaching out to a therapist can be intimidating. My hope is that you will take that first step. My commitment is to amplify your strengths, resilience, and tenacity to guide you towards your goals.
During our initial session, we will do an assessment to determine current factors at play in your life leading to the barriers you are facing. We will develop goals and ultimately decide if we are a good fit as a client/therapist team.
I feel that my greatest strength as a provider is the relationship I build with my clients. I truly believe that the greatest agent of change is genuine human connection. I bring myself, flaws and all, to my sessions in order to build that genuine human connection with my clients. I would describe myself as quick to laugh, upbeat, straightforward, and always honest. I am a firm believer in being our authentic selves and that is what I bring to the table. I utilize my authentic self to create an environment rich in authenticity in which deep insight can share the same space as humor and laughter.
I love working with clients who are going through transition in their lives. If there is one thing that is certain in life, it is that change is ever present. When we experience big changes and transitions in life, such as switching careers, entering the work force after college, becoming parents, or going through a divorce, we can find ourselves struggling to cope with the emotions that come along with these changes. I love helping my clients learn the skills to not just manage the current episode of change, but to feel more confident in facing whatever life may throw our way.
Other specialties
I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I have utilized a primarily Person-centered approach with my clients for the majority of my time as a therapist. At the core of Person-centered is genuineness. How can I expect my client to be their genuine and authentic selves if I as the therapist am hiding behind a mask of professionalism? I utilize my authentic self to build a deep relationship with my clients in which they truly feel heard and understood.

Tessa has been warm and comforting since our first meeting. She gives me the space to talk about how I am feeling and what I am thinking and helps me find the words to express myself when I can't find them. She had allowed me to feel empowered on my journey of healing. I am so happy to be able to work with her.
