Welcome! I am genuinely glad that you are here. It isn’t always easy to put your trust and safe keeping of personal feelings and experiences into another, so I am honored to get to know your story. I have had the privilege of working with children, teens and adults from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, who have various relational preferences, etc! Everyone is welcome here! I have also spent many years working as a school based Mental Health Therapist, so I very familiar with the unique experiences of school educators, administrators, and other supporting staff. I have been involved in Special Education and IEP meetings, and have supported parents and students in this area. I would like you to know that I genuinely care about the emotional well being of my clients, and my hope is that you feel safe and comfortable in sharing with me.
Our first session will give us the opportunity to begin building our therapeutic relationship by introducing ourselves and building a level of comfort, which is so important! You will be invited to share about yourself and discuss your reasons for coming to see me. You may share any thoughts, comments or questions you may have. Together we can create a goal(s) and identify personal hopes for your therapeutic journey.
My goal is to always provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where we may collectively address issues and/or topics of your choosing. I find that when my clients are motivated to do the work they feel they need for themselves, we become the best team in making progress towards respective goals. My clients often report that they feel safe and supported by me in their therapy journey, which is what I absolutely strive to do!
If you are ready to begin your therapeutic journey, I am here to support you in that! We can work together to identify your needs and therapeutic goals. You have the ability to choose what you would like to work on. The work you will do in therapy is so important. This will be the time you dedicate to yourself for personal growth and healing. Clients with the best treatment outcomes are those who are consistently show up for sessions, as they are choosing to provide themselves with the time and space necessary to really focus on personal growth. If you’re ready to put in the work for yourself, let’s do this!
