I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in trauma, anxiety, and depression. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Memphis. With over seven years of experience, I have provided therapy to children, adults, and families, with an expertise in treating PTSD and mood disorders. I have provided in-home therapy to children in the foster care setting. I later served at a domestic violence and human trafficking shelter as the Lead Therapist over the counseling program. During my time there, I focused on developing a children’s therapy program to ensure comprehensive care for children with behavioral and emotional issues. With a gentle and informed approach, I assist clients in processing traumatic or stressful life events to help them navigate the challenges they’re facing. I believe every person deserves a space to feel seen, accepted, and understood. My dedication in building a safe and trusting environment that empowers clients to explore their feelings, find their voice, and identify problems to create solutions.
First of all, I am so glad you are here! I recognize the incredible courage it requires to take the first step and reach out to a therapist. Life can feel overwhelming, complicated, confusing …. But there is hope. You deserve a space to feel seen, accepted, and understood. While there are times in life where you may’ve had to shrink away from emotional or physical pain or fear, I believe healing comes from reconnecting with those places in our body, mind and heart that hold pain. The parts of us that are wounded need attention and love to heal. I will empower you to access the resources you have within yourself to live a more fulfilling, integrated life. If you feel ready to take this step, I’d be honored to meet you exactly where you are and offer a safe space.
I have specialized training in anxiety, depression, and trauma and have experience working with adults, children and families. In our work together, we will utilize a mix of evidenced-based modalities, such as CBT, DBT, IFS and EMDR, to increase mind-body connection and alleviate distressing feelings, thoughts and sensations. * Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF- CBT); Play Therapy; Internal Family Systems (IFS); Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I utilize the most recent, cutting edge research and therapies, such as IFS and EMDR, to decrease stress related symptoms. I prioritize a collaborative, strengths-based approach and believe the therapeutic process should be unique to each client and their individual goals.
