About me

Hello there, my name is Raylene Amador and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Masters from Brandman University and have been practicing for 5 years. I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in working with clients who struggle with eating disorders and women’s issues. My office is a safe place where you’ll find hope and support. I welcome you to feel peace - peace in knowing you aren’t alone. No matter what season of life you’re in, I will help restore and uplift you while healing from whatever is holding you back.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we’ll start with getting to know one another and ensuring that you feel safe and comfortable. Then, we can specify your goals for therapy. This will help me create a customized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked in different settings including the School District, Boys and Girls Club, Probation Department, and Private Practice, I am best known for being a helper, my compassionate presence, and my ability to make others feel seen and empowered. I am passionate and invested in the wellness of others.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals who are longing for fulfillment in their lives. Who you want to be can feel hard to integrate with all that is going on around you. On the outside you might “have it all together,” but inside there is an emptiness. You might be struggling with self-doubt, sadness or feelings of disconnection. My hope is that through our work, you will find a life you've been longing for; a life you deserve, love and acceptance of yourself, and become confident in navigating life’s challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Utilizing CBT I am able to help my clients change their thinking patterns and obtain problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations. A goal of mine is to help clients develop a greater sense of confidence in their own abilities. Valuing each person’s unique story, I customize treatment to fit my client’s needs and goals. In doing so, I integrate interventions from additional therapy approaches.

Christian Counseling

As a Christian, I want to offer others a place where they can be supported by a therapist who also shares similar beliefs. I believe it is powerful to utilize one's faith to work through the season they are currently in.

She's Amazing! I have been through a couple of different therapist and I always felt award and shy about opening up. Talking with Raylene for almost a year now I have been able to overcome some hurdles. She doesn't give off like she's judgmental or just there for the pay check. I feel like she actually cares and want to help.

I love Raylene! She tries to keep me from going down dark roads, but when I do find myself in a dark place, she joins me, and she guides out of those places. She’s practical, she’s smart, and she meets where I am. Our upbringing was very similar, and we have had very similar life experiences. She knows some of the things I’ve been through, because she’s been there too. I love her, she’s relatable, she’s smart, she’s funny, and puts me in my place with the use of love and grace, and lots of it!
