Hello there, my name is Raylene Amador and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Masters from Brandman University and have been practicing for 5 years. I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in working with clients who struggle with eating disorders and women’s issues. My office is a safe place where you’ll find hope and support. I welcome you to feel peace - peace in knowing you aren’t alone. No matter what season of life you’re in, I will help restore and uplift you while healing from whatever is holding you back.
In our first session together, we’ll start with getting to know one another and ensuring that you feel safe and comfortable. Then, we can specify your goals for therapy. This will help me create a customized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked in different settings including the School District, Boys and Girls Club, Probation Department, and Private Practice, I am best known for being a helper, my compassionate presence, and my ability to make others feel seen and empowered. I am passionate and invested in the wellness of others.
I love working with individuals who are longing for fulfillment in their lives. Who you want to be can feel hard to integrate with all that is going on around you. On the outside you might “have it all together,” but inside there is an emptiness. You might be struggling with self-doubt, sadness or feelings of disconnection. My hope is that through our work, you will find a life you've been longing for; a life you deserve, love and acceptance of yourself, and become confident in navigating life’s challenges.
Raylene Amador offers therapy covered by Health Plan of San Joaquin - Medi-Cal in California.
Utilizing CBT I am able to help my clients change their thinking patterns and obtain problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations. A goal of mine is to help clients develop a greater sense of confidence in their own abilities. Valuing each person’s unique story, I customize treatment to fit my client’s needs and goals. In doing so, I integrate interventions from additional therapy approaches.
As a Christian, I want to offer others a place where they can be supported by a therapist who also shares similar beliefs. I believe it is powerful to utilize one's faith to work through the season they are currently in.
