Hi! Hola! I am Diego and I am a therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). I have been a clinician for about two and a half years, and have been in the social services field for nearly a decade. I have helped many folks, from diverse backgrounds and ages, to overcome the toughest challenges in their lives. As a clinician, I will help you using a variety of wonderful skills that focus on making you feel whole, purposeful, and more capable!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will explore what brings you to therapy. We will then create a specific treatment plan that is attuned to your unique goals. We will complete this process at your own pace and comfort.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with many people over the years, I have developed a great sense of compassion and understanding. Without compassion, we cannot understand the suffering of others. And without understanding the suffering of others, we cannot be useful helpers! I will help you discover strategies to enhance emotional well-being/build resilience, address life’s challenges/cultivate personal growth, find balance, manage anxiety, navigate life transitions and find new purpose. Experience inclusive therapy that respects and affirms your identity, humanity, dignity and self-determination.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Therapy for everyone: Tailored Support for Men, Young Adults, College Students, Older Adults, LGBTQ+ Individuals, People of Color, and those who are experiencing political anxiety. Empower yourself with personalized therapy solutions and a compassionate person centered approach. Remember, you are in charge! Every journey is unique. Whether you’re a man seeking guidance, young adult navigating life transitions, a college student managing stress, an older adult reflecting on life’s changes, a part of the LGBTQ+ community looking for an affirming space, or a person of color experiencing discrimination, I can help you navigate whatever hurdles you are facing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing CBT psychotherapy for 3 years. Using a CBT approach, we will collaborate together to identify your main concerns and set goals! We will learn about the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This will help you understand how your thoughts and beliefs can influence your emotions and actions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is a powerful tool that we can utilize to learn more about our breathing and "come back home" to ourselves. Using a variety of techniques, we will work together for you to practice mindfulness and lead a more self aware, fulfilling life, all while enjoying the wonders of the present moment!

Supportive

Supportive psychotherapy provides a safe space to express feelings and thoughts, reducing feelings of isolation. It helps alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. It increases self-awareness: Encourages personal insight and understanding of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It can help individuals create tools and techniques to manage stress and overcome challenges. As a result, these tools will enhance communication skills and emotional intelligence, leading to healthier relationships. It will also help with identifying and addressing personal or professional issues more effectively. You will learn how to make positive life changes and explore self-discovery, fostering a sense of purpose. Lastly, it can lead to lasting improvements in mental health and overall well-being.

Strength-Based

We all have strengths! Using our strengths can help us tackle our troubles! Think of it like your own little personal chest box of tools! Strengths-based therapy focuses on how we can use these tools to help us better manage our daily life stressors.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Having been in the field for nearly a decade, I have worked with many diverse populations and walks of life. Attuned to your needs, we will explore how your own culture plays a role in the structure of your unique human experience.
