I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph. I have in depth experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. However, I am only seeing adults at this time. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with life transitions, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma related disorders, and grief. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, to help my clients to identify and challenge faulty thought patterns, and develop coping strategies that empower them toward wellness. I am extremely passionate about fostering a safe and non-judgmental space in which my clients can learn and grow. I view the counseling process as collaborative, offering my clients a motivating, mindful, and empathetic experience throughout the therapeutic process. In my free time, I enjoy connecting with nature and caring for my many pets!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will work together to uncover what it is that you are looking to work on or change. I will provide an introduction to myself and what you can expect from sessions with me, and we will work collaboratively to create a road map for your success and growth that we will utilize throughout our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have found strengths in working with survivors of trauma, as I passionately provide understanding and a safe space to work through difficult memories and feelings. I am very equipped to assist those who are experiencing grief, as I have been on my own personal grief journey, and provide a non-linear/mindful approach to the healing process. I also have strengths in helping those with relationship and self-esteem issues, as I help clients identity the source of faulty patterns and negative thoughts, and closely work with them toward self-empowerment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist clients by identifying and challenging negative thought patterns that contribute to their distress. By working together, we explore how these thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, and I will guide you in developing healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies. This process empowers my clients to more effectively manage unwanted symptoms in their daily life, ultimately leading to lasting change and improved well-being.
