Hi there! I'm Abbey. I specialize in working with women navigating complex PTSD and attachment-related trauma, often showing up as anxiety, low self-esteem, or painful relationship patterns. I work with individuals who are insightful and self-aware, yet still feel stuck in familiar emotional or relational cycles. My approach is warm, collaborative, and depth-oriented. I integrate EMDR, somatic approaches, and parts work to support deeper healing beyond insight alone. While insight is powerful, lasting change comes from working with the emotional and relational patterns shaped by trauma. Over time, this work can help you feel more secure in yourself and steadier in your relationships. If you're ready to move out of anxiety and reactivity and into something that feels more stable and grounded, I'd love to work with you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, my focus will be on getting to know you. I will guide our time with questions to get a better sense of who you are and what our goals should be moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I do everything I can to ensure our sessions feel safe, comfortable, and natural for my clients.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with individuals and enjoy working with adult women.
Psychodynamic
Our current realty is impacted and informed by past experiences. By exploring our childhood experiences and connecting with to the inner child, profound insight and healing can occur. This can drastically impact the way we feel about ourselves and how we connect to people closest to us.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a technique used to treat trauma and other mental health conditions. This is something we can incorporate in session exclusively, or in tandem with talk therapy.
Mind-body approach
I work from a mind-body perspective, paying attention to how thoughts, emotions, and physiological states interact. I use mindfulness and body-based practices to support regulation and help clients develop a deeper sense of connection with themselves.
Relational
I take a relational approach and view the therapeutic relationship as central to the work. I value authenticity, collaboration, and the process of building a safe and real connection, because that's often where change actually happens.
Somatic
I incorporate somatic techniques and guided parts work to help clients notice what's happening in their bodies, make meaning of internal experiences, and build capacity for difficult emotions.
