(she/her)
Hello there, I'm Bahareh or "B" for short. Do you feel like you desire more support with processing your everyday routine, stress, or relational challenges? Are you going through changes and adjustments that have been challenging? Is it causing you to feel unmanageable anxiety or depression? I support individuals with navigating through life's challenges and adjustment while empowering them through this journey and individuation process that is life. I am passionate about the therapeutic work we will do in sessions and enjoy mixing conversation, with depth therapy to activate deeper awareness around your challenges and increase your confidence in your true sense of self and help you find your inner bling! I will meet you with compassion, empathy and openness. Let us collaborate on your self-care journey!
Our first session will consist of brief introductions, getting to know you, why you are coming to therapy, what support you are looking for and myself being available to answer any questions you may have regarding therapy or for me.
My Experience includes working in various community-based and mental health settings with specific populations over my career: Private Practice - Windows of Hope in Roseville (Families, kids, couples, individual) Capital Star Community Services- (Transitional age youth 16-24 years old) Sacramento Children's Home- (Family therapist, parent-child interaction therapy for youth ages 2-21) The Anti-Recidivism Coalition- (individuals aged 16-80 years old returning to the community from incarceration). Sacramento County Mental Health Treatment Center- (inpatient and stabilization unit facility with acute counseling and crisis intervention for ages 10-80).
I enjoy working with an array of clients; I have a specialty for working with youth and adults who are system impacted, facing challenges within the justice system, and returned citizens, and helping them navigate their way back into society, identifying and managing the adjustments that come with this.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Practicing Rogerian therapy has reinforced the importance of creating a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. I focus on deeply listening without imposing judgment or solutions, and instead reflect the client’s inner experience to help them feel heard and seen. I’ve witnessed how this approach empowers clients to connect with their own wisdom and make choices that align with their authentic selves. It has been especially effective in my work with clients navigating identity development, trauma recovery, and reentry from incarceration.

As a formally incarcerated person, with a prior SO conviction miss B humanistic approach is always kind, compassionate & open minded. Making it so much easier for me to open up and talk about the things in my life passed or present that hurts me. I never feel judged, put down or like I’m just some paycheck. After a session, I always feel like I matter and have new perspectives on the topic discussed. She is truly a great human being. I am forever grateful to have her in my life.

I've been through a lot through my life and don't really know if I've dealt with my experiences. What allowed me to choose Bahareh as my therapist. Is her personality and character. I would like to think that I'm a quick judge of character. Her vibe that she gives off is really comforting, welcoming, loved and makes you feel safe and at home. I am truly grateful to be apart of her circle and the work she does is inspirational to people like me going through the reentry process.
