I have been a therapist for 18 years. My areas of expertise include working with neurodivergent individuals, navigating through life transitions, and managing daily stress and overwhelm. I'm very laid-back and casual. Whatever you're bringing to me will be met with compassion and non-judgment. I've also been told I'm very direct and honest. Therapy can also be about learning some hard truths about yourself. I prioritize honesty between us, so I'm open to feedback if we're going too fast or getting too intense.
Twenty-five years of experience working with a wide range of individuals with a wide range of presenting problems and needs. I have helped individuals work through grief, trauma, adjustment disorders, difficult life transitions, acculturation issues and end of life counseling. I have helped many individuals gain new insights and coping abilities in managing chronic mood disorders, anxiety and fear disorders, personality disorders and impulse control disorders. I have experience working with addiction and recovery including compulsive gambling and sex addictions. I have also worked with individuals in various stages of commitment to change. I began my career working in community mental health serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness/primary psychosis disorders such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective, delusional and bipolar affective disorders.
I have worked in a variety of settings within the mental health field including hospital settings, partial hospitalization settings, outpatient therapy, intensive case management, as well as remote services. I have been clinical director of two outpatient treatment centers. I have facilitated many therapy groups including anger management, anxiety management, wellness and recovery, co-occurring disorders and trauma-focused groups.
Hello, I’m Krystie, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed by their thoughts, uncertain in their decision-making, or unfulfilled in their relationships, careers, or personal lives. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of negative thinking, emotional distress, or past experiences that continue to impact their present functioning.
My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Together, we will explore the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical, skills-based strategies to help you manage symptoms, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients can address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related experiences, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions.
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but it is a meaningful step toward growth and healing. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions so you can reengage with life in a way that feels fulfilling and aligned with your values.

My goal is to help you feel understood while we work together toward changes that matter to you.

You may find yourself feeling things that don’t seem to make sense. You feel like you should be happy, able to manage it all, or that you shouldn’t feel stressed or worried because your problems don’t seem ‘big enough.’ Maybe you’re dealing with changes—whether planned or unexpected—that are difficult to navigate. Perhaps areas of life are being negatively impacted by stress related to the current state of the world.
Hi! I’m Gina, and I specialize in empowering people to uncover the valid reasons behind their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Hello and welcome! I'm Diane, a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Virginia. My passion is helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve their personal and emotional well-being. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and positive change. My role as a counselor is to guide and support you on your journey, helping you to uncover your strengths and achieve your goals. Together, we will work towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
I have an eclectic style that is influenced by a couple of different theoretical orientations. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I pull in different mindfulness and problem-solving techniques to assist you in creating more desired outcomes. Counseling is not a 'one size fits all' endeavor and I will take time to recognize what best suits your needs and goals.
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about supporting adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions and pursue meaningful growth. Whether you are a college student or recent graduate adjusting to a new season of life, an individual facing anxiety or depression, or a couple preparing for marriage or working to strengthen your relationship, I strive to provide guidance that feels both supportive and practical.
My Christian faith shapes my personal values; however, I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. Faith-based perspectives are incorporated into counseling only if a client specifically desires it.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Life transitions—whether expected or unexpected—can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and work toward the emotional and personal goals that matter most to you.
I have experience working with adults experiencing life changes, including college and post-college transitions, relationship challenges, marriage and premarital preparation, and parenting. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and stress that often accompany these seasons of change. My background as a behavioral specialist in community mental health allows me to effectively support adults diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, as well as parents raising children with these diagnoses.
In my work with couples, I draw from my experience as a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator to help partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more connected relationships.
When working with individuals, I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My focus is on equipping you with practical tools and strategies so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.
As a Caribbean-born woman, I value family, resilience, community, and a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. My passion for social work comes from a genuine desire to help people navigate life’s challenges, recognize their inner strength, and discover that they don’t have to face everything alone.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 17 years of experience supporting individuals and families through various life experiences. I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether you’re managing anxiety, navigating relationship challenges, adjusting to life transitions, or trying to rediscover yourself. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where you can feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self without fear of judgment.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and solution-focused. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and client-centered approaches to help you build coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and work toward meaningful change.
My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your unique experiences, and walk alongside you as you work toward greater emotional well-being, confidence, and personal growth. You deserve to feel supported, valued, and empowered to create a life that feels fulfilling to you.
Hi, I’m Ashley therapist, animal lover, creative soul, and lifelong daydreamer. I bring a warm and down-to-earth approach to my work, and I believe that connection, curiosity, and authenticity are at the heart of healing.
When I’m not in session, you can usually find me lost in a good book especially fantasy, romantasy, or dark romance (I’m a proud BookTok girly). Some of my favorite reads have come straight from client recommendations. I always love hearing what’s on your bookshelf.
I’m also a big fan of all things crafty. Paper crafting is my go-to especially junk journals and mini albums but I’ve dabbled in wreaths, t-shirts, and tumblers. My creativity also spills into my love of music, which spans from Sleep Token to George Strait to Eminem. I’m always up for discovering new bands or catching a local show.
On slower days, I love wandering through antique stores and thrift shops. Most of my home is decorated with pieces that have a story either found secondhand or passed down through family. I find comfort in giving old things new life.
Animals have always been a grounding force in my world. I’ve been riding horses since I was four, and my heart horse, Kirby, is my trail buddy and snack-sharing best friend (she’s a big fan of applesauce and cupcakes). My two dogs, Oliver and Dottie, are certified therapy dogs who’ve joined me in visits to hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, and children’s reading programs. Together, Kirby, Oliver, and Dottie inspired the name Free to Wander Counseling, a reflection of my belief that healing often begins when we allow ourselves to explore, play, and connect in gentle, open-hearted ways.
Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here just as you are.

I've been working in mental health for 15 years, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in
Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia. Most of what I do centers around anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, and
PTSD — but I work with people dealing with a lot of different things, and I'm not going to tell
you your situation doesn't qualify. I see kids, teens, adults, couples, and families, so if you're
looking for someone who can work with your family across different ages, that's something I
can do.
I'm a Certified Trauma Specialist and trained in integrative mental health, which means I bring
more tools to the table than just talk therapy. I'm neurodivergence-affirming and work with
people across a wide range of identities and communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and
single parents. A lot of my clients have been carrying something for a long time before they
finally reach out — that's more common than you'd think, and it's never too late to start.
Let us de-stigmatize mental health: people seek oil changes to keep their car running and/or annual teeth cleaning as a part of their medical hygiene and routine. Mental health therapy can be seen as an emotional tune-up. There is no shame in seeking help or support. If you are looking to process/work through a difficult time, situation, or emotion I can be of assistance.
My name is Kendra and I graduated from Liberty University in 2013 with a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental/behavioral health field. I use an integrative and person-centered approach to be solution focused on your unique need. Whatever the reason you are seeking counseling I will be here to help process, encourage, and empower you through your therapeutic journey.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who attained a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2020. Stuck in a rut in life? Feel like you are going through the motions every day or experiencing anxiety that is controlling your life? I help treat conditions such as depression, panic attacks, anxiety, adjustment disorder, relationship conflict, burnout, poor self-esteem. Throughout counseling you will have a safe, confidential, non-judgmental place to talk where you will learn tools, skills that can help you be in a better place in your life. It takes courage to seek help taking the first step and I want to be there to support you through your journey toward reaching your goals. Throughout counseling I use evidence-based counseling interventions to help promote positive change in your life one step at a time.
Hello! I'm La-Retha Brown, LPC, and I'm glad you're here.
Seeking therapy is a courageous first step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward the life you want. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, stress, trauma, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties managing emotions. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful goals that align with your values.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and solution-focused. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques. I tailor treatment to meet your unique needs because I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
Whether you're navigating a difficult season, rebuilding after loss, strengthening relationships, or simply seeking personal growth, I am committed to walking alongside you throughout the process.

Hello! I am an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based out of Lynchburg VA where I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. For 5 years I have been practicing with this degree as well as practicing therapy techniques previously before receiving my degree. I focus on helping individuals challenge the parts of their life that cause the most distress and becoming empowered in order to continue practicing healthy coping and thought regulation. I strive to help those around me achieve a version on themselves that is less impacted by their struggles and more focused on their strengths.
I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with 12+ years of professional work experience. I hold a BA in psychology, MA in clinical psychology, MA in educational leadership, PhD in counselor education and supervision, and a DBA with a focus in management.
When I work with clients, listening to understand instead of hearing to respond is a priority. I believe it is imperative that I develop a sound understanding of my client's subjective worldview to meet them where they are and disrupt maladaptive thoughts and patterns of behavior. My objective is to collaborate with my clients in order to help them identify, address, and resolve matters that reinforce and/or contribute to their presenting concern(s).
I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, anxiety, adjustment issues, college and career readiness, couples, depression, family dynamics, gender identity, identity development, LGBT+, non-traditional relationships, men's issues.
In our work together, I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
I am an AK amputee, a person with a disability, a disabled person, a one-legged person, or as medical folks will say a person with a "residual limb" (I have never heard an amputee call their stump a residual limb). If you have been looking for a therapist and you see the photo they choose to put on their page, how many put their disability in their photo? That choice says something. I am also a psychotherapist with 50 years experience of providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. My identity shifted 10 years ago when my right leg was amputated above the knee (AK). The identity as a disabled person is not a sought after identity. In many ways being disabled sucks big time. Providing telehealth services would be one way for me to "hide" my disability. Just never point the camera toward my leg. I don't like my experience of me just walking into a room and my leg has already introduced me long before I say my name. I am looking for clients that are disabled in some way and want to work on not letting that "disability label " suck your lifeblood away.
Welcome! I'm Stephanie Freeman,MSW, LCSW, LCAS.
