Hi there, I am Stephanie. Counseling can be a positive and life-changing experience. I strive to bring an effective blend of experience, expertise, and clarity to the counseling process in order to maximize outcomes and provide genuine healing and wholeness to individuals and families. It will be my honor to walk with you through your journey of healing.
I believe therapy works best when it feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a conversation with someone who's genuinely listening — really listening, not just waiting for their turn to speak. That's the space I try to create in every session: one where you can be honest without feeling judged, and where you leave feeling a little lighter than when you walked in.
Many of my clients tell me they felt comfortable opening up right away, even in their very first session. That's not an accident — I take the time to understand where you actually are in your life before jumping to solutions. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, working through anxiety or depression, or just feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward, my goal is to help you see your situation more clearly and find a path that actually fits your life.
I use an integrative approach — drawing on humanistic, solution-focused, and behavioral techniques — but the tools matter less than the relationship. I want you to feel heard, supported, and a little more hopeful after every conversation we have.
I am a licensed psychotherapist dedicated to providing compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based care. I create a supportive, interactive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I am bilingual and fluent in English and Farsi (Persian), and I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I am committed to collecting evidenced based "tools for my toolbox" to aid those grappling with finding the new normal after their world has shifted. I most love helping people find language to describe their losses, often when there has been difficulty finding the words, inspiring people to find hope again, and facilitate the development of a plan to move forward in a way that both honors their experiences and embraces the future.
I take an action-oriented, collaborative approach to therapy. I utilize a combination of psychoeducation, storytelling, and evidenced-based interventions to offer meaningful insight to support clients’ healing. I strongly believe that rock bottom is the foundation upon which we can rebuild our lives. We do regular check-ins to review progress along the way. Our goal is not to change the past, but instead to find some relief from symptoms that impact daily functioning. I will solicit feedback regularly during sessions for takeaways to gauge progress and curate treatment interventions based on what is most engaging and productive for the individual client.

If you are like other people and feeling the pressures of everyday life then the stress from the cares of attempting to live a normal life are working overtime. The pace today is more hectic. People need help. Everyone deserves a safe place and a stable environment. My approach is to build a strong therapeutic alliance, provide acceptance, and focus on the present moment without judgment to help people gain the skills for managing complicated situations. Clients have often stated the experience was easy to discuss their issues without worry and they felt non-judged regardless of the situation. We will work together to discover what works, promote healing the whole person, and help understand the dynamics of existing relationships to choose to respond in a rational way to master life to the greatest extent possible.
Seeking therapy can feel scary but you’re making the right choice. In our sessions together I’ll meet you with compassion and with evidence-based strategies so you can build resilience, and stability to find the supports you need.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Virginia. I'm originally from New York and received my Masters from Long Island University in Brooklyn. I have been practicing since 2016 and I am passionate about helping adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety and depression become the best version of themselves. My goal is to help my clients build the tools necessary to navigate their lives.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, mentally unsteady, or unsure how to move forward — you don’t have to carry that alone.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of North Carolina State University. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and questions of direction or purpose. Many of the people I support feel capable and motivated — yet internally worn down, struggling to feel grounded, present, or confident in themselves.
My primary focus is helping clients stabilize emotionally and mentally — so you feel more anchored, regulated, and clear. From that place of steadiness, we begin to explore how you can grow into the fullest version of yourself, making the most of your strengths, values, and lived experience rather than trying to become someone you’re not.
Therapy with me is not about pushing or fixing — it’s about creating a solid foundation where clarity, confidence, and meaningful change can naturally emerge. For those who find meaning and strength in their Christian faith, I welcome that as part of our work together — though spirituality is never required or assumed. You bring what matters to you, and we build from there.

You keep seeing everyone posting about being their best self, and showing up for themselves. Meanwhile you are just trying to be. Whatever that be, may be for the day. I believe that in order to be your best self, you must be authentic. What does that even look like? You must be true to what you’ve endured, the things that you have overcome…the good, the bad, and even the ugly moments. I help women to embrace them all. Then we take it a step further and look at building you up as a WHOLE. So your best self starts with where you are today and then we create a plan on where you want to be and who you want to become.
