Hello, My name is Keith, I have been working with youth and adolescents in the mental health field for about thirteen years. I have worked with young people suffering from traumatic experiences (PTSD), to include physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. I have assisted young people with symptoms associated with depression and anxiety. Also, I have experience in assisting young people with self-esteem/self-worth issues. I have helped young people who are suicidal and with individuals suffering from psychotic disorders. Further, I have assisted young people with tension within the home setting and ways he or she can navigate these feelings in a healthy manner. Personally, I have two daughters that are my world and a very spoiled elderly dog. I enjoy sports, working out, and being outdoors. I have been described as very easy going and easy to talk to. In my practice, the client comes first, and the conversation goes where he or she would like it to.

Are you fighting anxiety, depression, profound life transitions like grief and loss, career shifts, addiction, or a newly diagnosed chronic/autoimmune medical condition? Hi, I'm Raisa, an LCSW and VCU graduate specializing in anxiety, depressive disorders, and the mental impact of medical trauma. Having survived trauma in early life and personally navigating an autoimmune condition requiring chemically and biologically invasive treatments as an adult; I hold a deep, non-judgmental understanding of the profound toll chronic illness takes on your life and identity. I value the power of resilience and adaptation in humans. This lived experience equips me to help you process medical trauma holistically. I provide warm, humanistic, virtual-only therapy tailored entirely to your unique story. As a South Asian person of color, I am verbally fluent in my native language, Bangla/Bengali, as well as Hindi, and some knowledge of Urdu. This background gives me deep insight into the unique cultural intersections that Asians can face in the Western world. Additionally, my professional background includes over 4.5 years of working in a jail, heavily highlighting my crisis intervention and suicidal/homicidal risk assessment skills while working directly with substance use and personality disorders. By combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dr. Kabat-Zinn's mindfulness models (MBSR/MBCT), we will unpack your experiences in partnership. My clinical approach prioritizes a strongly holistic treatment plan across all 4 Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual domains of life, adapted to your diagnoses. If desired, this is an opportunity to hone your spiritual practice and discipline—intentionally refining, practicing, and sharpening your daily habits to connect with something larger than yourself. Together, we'll meet your needs, wants, and goals, by building practical tools to reclaim your peace, regain control, and thrive. Through unconditional regard and trust, I’m honored to stand by you and help re-discover the best version of yourself!

I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with 12+ years of professional work experience. I hold a BA in psychology, MA in clinical psychology, MA in educational leadership, PhD in counselor education and supervision, and a DBA with a focus in management. My objective is to collaborate with my clients in order to help them identify, address, and resolve matters that reinforce and/or contribute to their presenting concern(s). I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, anxiety, adjustment issues, college and career readiness, couples, depression, family dynamics, gender identity, identity development, LGBT+, non-traditional relationships, men's issues. In our work together, I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I am an AK amputee, a person with a disability, a disabled person, a one-legged person, or as medical folks will say a person with a "residual limb" (I have never heard an amputee call their stump a residual limb). If you have been looking for a therapist and you see the photo they choose to put on their page, how many put their disability in their photo? That choice says something. I am also a psychotherapist with 50 years experience of providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. My identity shifted 10 years ago when my right leg was amputated above the knee (AK). The identity as a disabled person is not a sought after identity. In many ways being disabled sucks big time. Providing telehealth services would be one way for me to "hide" my disability. Just never point the camera toward my leg. I don't like my experience of me just walking into a room and my leg has already introduced me long before I say my name. I am looking for clients that are disabled in some way and want to work on not letting that "disability label " suck your lifeblood away.

Hi, my name is Stephen As a Christian do you ever feel like you are letting God down, or like you are not being faithful enough because you have real-life problems? Problems In your relationship, emotionally, behaviorally, or even with substance abuse. Is it hard to be kind to yourself? I help individuals manage their anxiety, depression, or burnout by addressing the needs of your body, mind, and spirit using the bible. I integrate current counseling theories with sound biblical principles to help develop a stronger relationship with God, and a stronger you. Whether you are dealing with being overwhelmed, relationship issues, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help. Seeking therapy can seem scary and maybe even against some of the teachings you've learned in church, but you are making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together I will meet with you, and your spouse if you want, with compassion and evidence-based techniques while using biblical principles so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. The research says that 1 in 4 people in the United States, at any given time, have mental health issues. This does not exclude the church. The average church in Virginia has 250 members attending on any given Sunday. That means that at least fifty people in your church service last Sunday are struggling with some type of mental illness or emotional problem. I work with churches to help them with ministering to the hurting, please let me help you.

Your brain is basically that one friend who means well but gives terrible advice. It jumps to conclusions, expects the worst, overthinks everything, and somehow expects you to believe every word it says. The good news? You don't have to let it call the shots. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia who works with adults (18+) navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, grief, and life transitions. I also specialize in working with active-duty military, veterans, and first responders, and in the unique demands of their careers. My style is warm, honest, interactive, and a little sarcastic when the moment calls for it. I'll listen without judgment, but I won't just nod along. I'll challenge you, teach you, and give you practical tools you can actually use. I believe therapy should help you understand your mind, build confidence, and leave you with the skills to manage life long after our work together ends. I love making psychology make sense. My goal is to take complex concepts, break them down into practical, relatable ideas, and help you become the expert on your own mind. If you're ready for real conversations, a few laughs, and meaningful change, I'd love to help.

Are you holding it all together on the outside, but running on empty inside? I have over 20 years of experience walking alongside people navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. My work has woven through community mental health and primary care behavioral health, deepening my belief that healing isn’t just about talking—it’s about reconnecting with your whole self. My approach is holistic and down-to-earth. I blend cognitive tools from REBT and ACT with mindfulness and somatic practices like EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). You might find yourself gently challenging old thought patterns one moment, and learning to ground through your breath or body the next. Every part of you is welcome in the room. I’m not a blank slate therapist. I show up as a real person—warm, intuitive, and yes, I sometimes curse. I also give homework, like ABCDE journaling, to help you carry the work into your life between sessions. Therapy with me is collaborative and active—we’re not just talking about change; we’re working toward it. Most of all, I want you to feel safe, seen, and supported. Whether you’re overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to shift, I’m here to walk alongside you—without judgment, and at your pace. Please note: I’m only able to work with clients who are physically located in Virginia at the time of sessions.

Authentic, Specialized Therapy Tailored to Your Strengths—Where You Can Drop the Pretense and Exhale. Let's be real—stepping into therapy can feel intimidating, stiff, and way too clinical. Too many people have walked away thinking therapy "just doesn't work" for them, usually because they never found a space where they could drop the armor, be totally honest, and just be themselves. That's exactly why Marty's clients enjoy working with her honest, creative and real approach. "Thank you for being easy to talk to! No judgments... is very good for my psyche!" — Verified Client "That’s exactly why I started Renaissance Counseling & Consulting. Therapy shouldn't feel like an impersonal checklist or judgmental clinical lecture, It should be a warm, practical, and grounded space built on humor, transparency, and genuine human connection."

I enjoy working with people to help them build a strong sense of self, encourage their confidence in relationships, and help foster a sense of calm and security in their everyday life. I enjoy helping parents navigate the many challenges that come our way. I believe people seek therapy for many reasons: adjustment to a new city or life situation, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or problems with relationships. Counseling is a process that most of us could benefit from time to time at different stages in life, as it brings an outsider's perspective to events, we are faced with in day-to-day life in a nonjudgmental way.

You may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or caught in patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, better understand yourself, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. My therapeutic style is warm, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. Our conversations may feel natural and approachable, but they will also have purpose and direction. I offer compassion alongside gentle accountability, helping you recognize unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and make choices that align with your values. We’ll work at a pace that feels manageable while remaining focused on meaningful and lasting growth. Starting therapy may feel daunting, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before taking the first step. Come as you are, and together we’ll work toward greater understanding, healing, and meaningful change. It would be an honor to support you along the way!

Hello. I'm Joseph. Do you feel so anxious it is hard to leave the house in the morning? Do you feel so depressed and sad that it is hard to get out of bed in the morning? Anxiety and depression are common. You are not alone in feeling this way. I help people who struggle to deal with the stresses of life. Working together, we can identify what causes your depression and anxiety and work to find solutions which will make life easier for you. It is all about finding balance. My experience allows me to help you deal with your stress, relationship issues, anxiety, trauma, or depression. Some people worry about what others will think if they seek out therapy. You are not alone. Many people deal with the same kind of things you deal with. Therapy is a place where many people come to heal and grow. It is a safe place where you can talk about whatever is on your mind and know that everything is confidential. Welcome! I am Kimberly. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 14 years of experience providing therapy. Many of us desire a sense of peace, connection, and well-being within ourselves and in our life. Yet life circumstances and even parts of ourselves can prevent us from having these experiences in our day to day lives. Providing a safe and non-judgmental place to explore your struggles and emotional pain is essential to my practice. I feel grateful to be able to support those who desire to grow and heal. PLEASE NOTE: I work from 8am-3:30pm Mon-Thurs. I do not have late afternoon or evening sessions available.

I believe therapy works best when it feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a conversation with someone who's genuinely listening — really listening, not just waiting for their turn to speak. That's the space I try to create in every session: one where you can be honest without feeling judged, and where you leave feeling a little lighter than when you walked in. Many of my clients tell me they felt comfortable opening up right away, even in their very first session. That's not an accident — I take the time to understand where you actually are in your life before jumping to solutions. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, working through anxiety or depression, or just feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward, my goal is to help you see your situation more clearly and find a path that actually fits your life. I use an integrative approach — drawing on humanistic, solution-focused, and behavioral techniques — but the tools matter less than the relationship. I want you to feel heard, supported, and a little more hopeful after every conversation we have.

Hi! I'm Jen Tucker, a licensed mental health counselor who is passionate about serving others. I'm a military veteran and a military spouse. I'm also a wife, mom, and grandmother. I've been through a lot in my life. Most of you have too. After all, you find yourself here looking for something. It is my firm belief that each and every one of us has tremendous potential. We all have unique talents and skills, honed and sharpened through our life experiences. These experiences, while crucial to shaping us, can also leave us hurt, confused, numb, or insecure. It is paramount that we stop along our journey to take stock, address our needs, heal, and refocus. Sometimes, we realize we may benefit from having extra support or guidance through these moments. That is where therapy can help. Throughout my counseling career, I have had the privilege of being able to walk beside clients as they process the past, learn to be comfortable in the present, and get excited for the future. I am certified in trauma and treat clients with a wide range of concerns. Whether you feel ready to dive into therapy, or you are just contemplating the idea, I'd love to hear from you. I am currently accepting video clients for individual therapy. If you aren't ready to make contact, I have some resources available for self-reflection. Check out my blog at NotWavingButDrowning.org or my TikTok @MHMinute, where you'll find videos on a variety of mental health topics.

I am a marriage and family therapist and I help people overcome childhood trauma. I have worked with several clients who have experienced relationship, work related and family issues. The way I help them is by (1) Going to the root cause of the issue, (2) Giving them the tools so they don't repeat it and (3) Teach them how to be courageous enough to choose themselves.
