Hi all, my name of Faye Miles and I am a Breast cancer survivor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and have been licensed since 2010.
Do you find little happiness in your life? Do you find yourself anxious, depressed, unfilled in relationships, constantly comparing yourself to others? Or do you find little time for yourself always giving your all to your work or others? Have you been hurt by others and are looking for healing or experienced loss that has left you depleted?
What if I told you, there are ways to live and feel happy and fulfilled. There are ways to heal.
Self-love is important because it motivates much of our positive behavior while reducing harmful behavior. It both empowers us to take risks and to say no to things that don't work for us. It's a key component of building self-compassion. Self-love helps us take care of ourselves, lower stress, and strive for success and I strive to help adolescents, young adults and adults find fulfillment and happiness through exploration and exercises into their identity. This also can promote healing.
I am passionate about this work and working with others and if you feel I am the right fit we will work together in this journey to help you explore, find resources and hopefully find self-love, and compassion.

Throughout my years of experience, the most important skill that I feel that I have been able to succeed in is listening to the individuals I work with. So often people do not feel heard, so it is important for people to not only feel heard but also that they are effectively communicating what they are feeling.

Through my own schooling and experience I have come to use an eclectic approach to therapy, with tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief-Solution Oriented techniques, Mindfulness, Strength-Based techniques, Psycho-education with Interpersonal skills, and Structural/Strategic Couple's Therapy strategies. Through any of those approaches, I am here to work with you on meeting your needs that bring you to therapy.
I am a Clinical Social Worker that focuses on helping people who are experiencing anxiety or depression. I have been in this field for more than 10 years and love watching people I work with feel like they have control over their lives again. I believe that the body and brain hold onto experiences after certain events and might get hung up or even stuck. In my assessments, I determine how these impacts can reveal themselves in our behaviors and the decisions that we make every day. I work to help identify where the mind and body have gotten hung up and I use an eclectic “whole person” approach to unraveling these barrier areas in life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and discover their inner strengths. I help facilitate mind and body realignment for the achievement of optimal performance in school, at work, and in personal lives. I'm here to help harness inner resources. With a warm and empathetic approach, I provide therapy that is rooted in person-centered principles, mindfulness techniques, and faith-based practices. Hello,
With over 18 years of experience in the mental health field, I have a conviction about the human capacity to grow, develop, and adapt throughout life. I appreciate that each person brings to therapy a unique self: the combination of one's personal characteristics, early family relationships, and life experiences.
Many times, our most significant growth occurs because of learning to cope with challenges that occur in life and the stress that often accompanies change. Therapy can be an excellent tool to help clarify your thoughts, as well as reach a healthy life balance. I look forward to meeting with you and working hard together to explore the deeper meanings of your experiences as they relate to the present, and how you would like to see yourself in the future.
Hi! I'm Christy, and I'm a Therapist, Hypnotherapist, and an Energy Healer.
I fell in love with the idea of being a therapist in middle school and never wavered from that path. Through schooling and diverse professional experience, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor, a career I've taken seriously and loved for 25 years and counting. I've continued to learn and grow my healing toolkit with hypnotherapy, transpersonal psychology, spirituality, energy healing, somatic expression, and healing of my own personal traumas and experiences so that I can continue to offer more and more opportunities for growth for my clients. I take pride in my ability to relate to clients, listen with a non-judgmental ear, and provide the support and guidance needed for clients to improve their lives. In addition to traditional methods of counseling, I incorporate hypnotherapy, life coaching, empowerment techniques, relaxation and meditation, energy healing, transpersonal and spiritual therapy, and other modern and mystical techniques that challenge clients to grow in their lives. My passion is healing, growing, learning, shining my light, and supporting others to heal, grow, learn, and shine their lights as well. Now that you know about me, I look forward to getting to know you too!

Hi, my name is Stephen
As a Christian do you ever feel like you are letting God down, or like you are not being faithful enough because you have real-life problems? Problems In your relationship, emotionally, behaviorally, or even with substance abuse.
Is it hard to be kind to yourself?
I help individuals manage their anxiety, depression, or burnout by addressing the needs of your body, mind, and spirit using the bible. I integrate current counseling theories with sound biblical principles to help develop a stronger relationship with God, and a stronger you.
Whether you are dealing with being overwhelmed, relationship issues, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help.
Seeking therapy can seem scary and maybe even against some of the teachings you've learned in church, but you are making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together I will meet with you, and your spouse if you want, with compassion and evidence-based techniques while using biblical principles so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. The research says that 1 in 4 people in the United States, at any given time, have mental health issues. This does not exclude the church. The average church in Virginia has 250 members attending on any given Sunday. That means that at least fifty people in your church service last Sunday are struggling with some type of mental illness or emotional problem. I work with churches to help them with ministering to the hurting, please let me help you.

It is my firm belief that each and every one of us has tremendous potential. We all have unique talents and skills, honed and sharpened through our life experiences. These experiences, while crucial to shaping us, can also leave us hurt, confused, numb, or insecure. It is paramount that we stop along our journey to take stock, address our needs, heal, and refocus. Sometimes, we realize we may benefit from having extra support or guidance through these moments. That is where therapy can help.
Throughout my counseling career, I have had the privilege of being able to walk beside clients as they process the past, learn to be comfortable in the present, and get excited for the future. I am certified in trauma and treat clients with a wide range of concerns. Whether you feel ready to dive into therapy, or you are just contemplating the idea, I'd love to hear from you.
I am currently accepting video clients for individual therapy.
If you aren't ready to make contact, I have some resources available for self-reflection. Check out my blog at NotWavingButDrowning.org or my TikTok @MHMinute, where you'll find videos on a variety of mental health topics.
Feeling like you can't quite keep it together? Sometimes we get overwhelmed with the stresses in life and need help sorting them out. Maybe you've just hit a low point or feeling overly worried and anxious. Talking to a therapist has helped many people who are feeling the same way. The last few years have been more than difficult, and people are struggling. I help people figure out what's working well for them and what's not. Then we explore together the many strengths and skills you already have and can use to overcome the problems life throws at us. I teach new skills and introduce new tools that you can use to feel better and get your life back on track. I have many years of experience working with people with depression and anxiety as well as bipolar and schizophrenia. I am accepting of varying types of diversity and use solution focused methods with compassion and caring to create and meet the therapeutic goals that are unique to you. Starting therapy can be hard but it can change your life. I would love to work with you to start that process and look forward to meeting you.
