Hi! I'm Candace.
Do you ever feel like an island, where nobody truly understands you? When you attempt to express your needs, it often leaves you questioning your sanity and making you feel isolated. As you scroll through social media, it seems like everyone else has it all figured out. Despite your best efforts, you feel trapped and stagnant. Together we can navigate through it.
You are not alone. As a mother of 3, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate life as a parent, maintain a work/life balance, and curate healthy relationships. It can be exhausting! Through my training and experience, I specialize in supporting other women with their emotional struggles and empowering them to find solutions within themselves.

I am a Licensed Psychologist—Health Service Provider in the state of Tennessee. I currently work full-time in a primary care medical clinic, and am doing part-time work with Grow Therapy. I am trained as a Primary Care Psychologist, which means that like your PCP/GP I am a generalist. As a generalist I see the full spectrum of presenting problems that have a "biopsychosocial influence"—any problem that comes through the door of a medical clinic where I can be helpful. I see all ages, and see patients who struggle with things other than traditional mental health concerns. I see people experiencing alcohol or drug use concerns. I see people who have received life-threatening medical diagnoses. I see people who have lost people. I see people who need to make health-related changes though are struggling with motivation and in need of support with a behavior change plan.

Life can be difficult to navigate and there's no user manual. Are you struggling with anxiety or depression? Do you have a child or teenager who is often mislabeled as a "bad kid"? Do you feel your plate is more than full? Are you struggling to manage it all at once? Life can feel overwhelming. You keep burying these feelings and telling yourself "I'm fine". You deserve time to slow down and focus on yourself.

Hi im Greg Kirkham! Im a licensed therapist, practicing for over 20 years. I specialize in treating trauma. Now, you may be saying “but I don’t have trauma!” Trauma comes in all shapes and sizes and is often not recognized as such, but almost always has a significant impact on someone’s overall mental, physical and emotional health. Trauma also presents in many different forms, including struggles with depression, anxiety and anger management. Over my career I have worked with an array of populations, including children/families, juvenile sex offenders, and even convicts. Currently, I serve those who served us as a therapist with the VA in middle TN. Over the past seven years, I’ve seen evidence-based treatments work wonders with PTSD and trauma in our veterans. With GrowTherapy, I’m now able to provide these and other treatments to YOU! Whether you’re not real sure or highly motivated to get help, I’d love to discuss options and see if we’re a good fit! Thanks for reading and congratulations on taking the first step towards a healthier and more fulfilling life!

My career in mental health began in 2006 while working in Florida's child welfare system after receiving my BS in Gerontology from Bethune-Cookman University. I knew I wanted to further my knowledge to make a more substantial and significant impact when working with children and their families. This led me to earn my Master's in Counseling in 2009 from Webster University and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
My clinical work experience includes working with children and their supportive caregivers who have been exposed to abuse and neglectful circumstance, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and providing therapeutic interventions to inpatient adult clients who either were voluntarily or in-voluntarily placed at a crisis stabilization hospital. I hope you allow me to help you on your healing journey.

Hi. My name is Deborah Vaughn and I have dedicated my life to making your life better. I have laughed and I have loved. I have cried and I have lost. I have experienced anxiety and depression, poverty and wealth. I have had beauty and acceptance, age and neglect. I have given birth to four children, two that were incarcerated for crimes, and I have had them brought back to me renewed again in life. I've been sad and lonely and I have been on top of the mountain singing praises to the God of the Universe. Experiences, I've had too many to number, both good and bad, and I have learned from each and every one. Empathy I have for all, because I too have probably been there, or I could have been there easily enough. I have saved them all in my mind and heart so that I can help you through any of them you might need my help with. Sincerely, Deborah

Hi. My name is Christine Toler, Chris, and I earned my Ed.S and LPC- MHSP in the state of Tennessee, and New Jersey. I have been licensed as a Professional Counselor since 2010, and a School Counselor since 2006.
I started being a believer in therapy when it first helped me over forty years ago, (as a child). I thought what a wonderful way to get to the root of the problem... and get rid of it. Since then I have been working on myself as a client as well as acquiring a licensure to help others, including teens, adults and families. I focus on solution based and non-judgmental cognitive therapy. I believe understanding a problem is not the end of the work.
The action we take to support a positive change... is what changes lives. And while I have experienced that in some very important areas... I continue to grow... daily. I choose to be transparent about that because I believe it is important to the work that my clients know I understand how it feels to be in their chair.
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, doubt, guilt, grief, or all of the above, I believe I can help you.

I love partnering with people on their journey to greatness. I use a strengths-based approach to help my clients see the choices that are always at their disposal to unlearn past harmful messaging or combat unrelenting present symptoms. As a Black woman, I always integrate the importance of diversity. Playing small to blend in doesn't serve anyone. Whether we're different based on external or internal attributes, we all need to embrace our beautiful and different qualities so that we can live an authentic life.
My work also focuses on boundaries, challenging thoughts, and improving communication skills. I integrate role plays, affirmations, accountability, and direct introspection exercises to aid clients in quieting the noise of societal norms to embrace their true joy. All sessions are client-focused, I don't come with my own agenda. I'm excited to help you live life with confidence on your own terms. I look forward to working with you.

I have specialized in helping people who are struggling with life transitions, grief, and overwhelm for over 20 years. For the past 10 years, I have worked primarily with older adults and with family caregivers, many of whom are caring for a family member with dementia or other serious illness.
While I do use evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I also like to explore how your interests like art, journaling, yoga, meditation, humor, music, etc., can be incorporated into an overall plan for wellness. I have approximately 30 years of experience in virtually all clinical settings. I began my career working in a juvenile penitentiary (referred to as a 'youth development center) and after almost 6 years, left that setting and moved on to new opportunities. Along the way, I worked with group homes, foster homes, substance abuse treatment programs, and even provided treatment in a sexual offender treatment program. In 2004 I went solely into private practice and currently operate two offices. I also provided on-site services to businesses that suffer a death or other disruptive event; I have provided over 170 of these services in four states during the last several years. While you don't need any faith to see me, I also offer Christian Counseling. Finally, I am a US Army veteran and understand the challenges and needs of veterans.
I operate under a practical approach that seeks to build on a person's strengths to achieve realistic, measurable goals. I utilize primarily cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy to help my clients achieve their goals and to live life more fully.

Are you interested in therapy but feel you can't add one more thing to your already chaotic schedule? Therapy over telehealth can help you meet that need. As long as you have a setting that provides privacy for your appointment and it's free from distractions, then telehealth may be perfect for you. Don't want to commit to spending months or years in therapy? Look no further. I specifically offer short-term, brief therapy for individual adults.
Are you having difficulty adjusting to life transitions? Are you going through a difficult season in your life? Do you need a sounding board and support while you are trying to make some difficult decisions?
Let's take these next steps together to help you process and explore options, learn new coping skills, and give you the support that you need.

Hello, I am Stormy
I can help you feel empowered to reach your goals, make changes that you want in your life, recover from trauma, anxiety, and depression, and manage life stress. I use a person-centered approach, which focuses on you as a whole person and the individual needs that you have.
I have been working in community mental health for almost 10 years. I have a Ph.D. in community psychology and am a licensed counselor. I have been practicing counseling since 2016, and I have provided virtual counseling since 2019. I have experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and couples.
Beginning therapy can be overwhelming and scary. I will be here to work with you through those feelings and provide you with an environment that is safe and compassionate.

Why should you choose ME, over anyone else? That is the burning question. As I sit here and try to think of all the ways to possibly distinguish myself in comparison to my peers and colleagues, one specific thing comes to mind: the exact moment that I knew I wanted to be a therapist.
My life’s trials and tribulations have put me in a strangely unique position in regard to understanding and empathizing with much of what is thrown at many of us, and it is because of that, that I found strength in my weaknesses and lowest moments. Readjusting to life after deployments, after the military, after divorce and growing pains and heartache, was a monumentally transitional period of my life, and my therapist bared the brunt of my pain with compassion and grace. In my very last session, I looked him in the eyes and said: “I want to do what you’re doing. I want to help people the way that you’ve helped me. I’ve been on this side of the table – now I want to be on that side.”
So, what’re my credentials, expertise, focus and treatment approaches?
Credentials: MSW, LICSW (WA), LCSW (HI, TN, TX)
Expertise: My background and personal experience of the military and with Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) ensure that I have a good handling on trauma and know all too well the burdens of Veterans that come with serving your country during war, as well as in the aftermath. Beyond that, I specialize and have experience with anger management, mood disorders, thought disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, self-esteem issues.
Approaches: I clinically find myself utilizing a psychodynamic approach to therapy with my clients. I believe we are who we are today based on the many influences we had in our lives, especially in those formidable early childhood years. Oftentimes, we can find the source of your current concerns today by processing how you originally developed your core values and beliefs. These roots run deeper than we typically ever realize without therapy. If you choose to work with me, we will naturally dive deeper into what this may mean for you. The path of healing is not an easy road, nor a short one. Doing the work takes gusto, but I believe that you have it inside of you, and I believe that I am the one for the job to aid in your process and growth.
I hope to hear from you soon!!!
Respectfully,
Sean

During the last 10 years as a therapist, clinical supervisor, and executive clinical director, I’ve worked with individuals who struggle to function in their everyday lives due to their mental health. For some, they make it look like they have it all together. For others, they are back and forth between hospitals or jails. You may find yourself in one of these circumstances or somewhere in between. Regardless, you deserve a life worth living.

C. G. Jung once said, "Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside awakes." Life is full of distractions that keep us from paying attention to our own hearts, our own desires, and what really matters. Perhaps you are having difficulty finding the motivation to keep pushing forward. You've lost motivation to put in the work to have the relationships and life you want. You don't even know if it's possible to be happy anymore but you know you can't give up trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel. This is where I come in.
You deserve to thrive in this life despite feeling stuck for so long. As a professional with years of experience helping others develop more self-awareness, set boundaries and cultivate a greater sense of meaning and purpose, I'd love to have the opportunity to step into this chapter of your life and help you take back the pen.
