About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s transitions, questioning your identity, or seeking healing from past wounds? Whether you’re a college student stepping into independence and wondering, “Who am I now?”, exploring your sexuality or gender, rethinking beliefs, navigating a major life change, grieving a loss, trying to reconcile your past with your present, or struggling with anxiety, relationships, communication or boundaries, I’m here to help you find clarity, build confidence, and thrive. I’m passionate about providing a compassionate, judgment-free environment where you can explore, heal, and grow. My approach is relational, strengths-focused, and empathetic to empower you to navigate challenges and discover your authentic self, getting to know different parts of you- how they developed, and how they protect, empower, and hold you back. If you’re ready to explore your identity, heal from past hurts, or navigate life’s challenges with support, I’d love to work with you. You don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and care. You can contact me through Grow or HealingEmpoweredCounseling.com for a free phone call to see if we would be a good match. *I may have availability outside of hours shown on Grow

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll discuss your goals, explore your symptoms and stressors and review your mental health, developmental, and family history to determine the best ways to help you make meaningful progress. Throughout our work together, I welcome your feedback and will adapt our approach.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is eclectic, blending person-centered therapy to honor your unique experience, IFS to explore the different parts of your identity, CBT to challenge and reform negative thought patterns. I am strengths-based, non-judgmental, kind, curious, and collaborative. Throughout treatment, I am open to feedback and switching gears as needed to obtain your goals so you feel like you are getting the most out of our sessions together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am most passionate about identity work. This includes finding who you are when you go to college and are out on your own, exploring sexuality and gender, reconsidering values and beliefs, finding self after loss, or figuring out who you are in and outside relationships.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I utilize parts work to help you explore different parts of yourself and how they protect and form who you are at your core. IFS is nonpathologizing and operates from an understanding that each part is doing its best and wants to protect and better you. With this, we can honor why each part responds the way it does and explore what is helpful to you now versus what was once helpful. The goal of IFS is to unburden and heal wounds.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to give skills inside and outside of therapy. We will use thought checking to aid in better patterns that lessen anxiety. We will also identify and push back against cognitive distortions. By reframing thinking, challenging negative beliefs, understanding the link between thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, and learning skills, we will improve emotional regulation.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

We will use mindfulness, meditation, and breathing exercises to increase regulation and give you skills to use inside and outside of therapy.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

We will examine what is contributing to stuckness, identify values so you can work towards a life you value, incorporate mindfulness, and increase flexibility.
