I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas since 2018, providing mental health and behavioral counseling. I'm guided by the following core beliefs: We each have a unique life story, and how we see our present is impacted by past things that have happened to us. Lastly, our thoughts and behaviors shape how we manage relationships and see the world around us. As a standard practice, I approach the therapeutic relationship with acute sensitivity and respect for multi/cross-cultural factors and influence. I approach therapy with the mindset that every person has internal skills that give him or her the ability to reach personal goals. With an integrative client-centered approach, you take the lead as the expert on your life, patterns of behaviors, and I help guide you to uncover causes of core belief systems that fuel areas of concern. My role in this process is to support you with encouragement while developing self-awareness and understanding your past experiences. Mental health is a journey, and while you may feel lost now, that is not an indication of how your life will continue. It takes a lot of strength and willpower to work towards a more fulfilling and happier life, if you are ready to take that step, I am here to walk alongside to encourage and empower you.

I chose to change careers late in life. It has been a wonderful decision. I am able to help people in their daily lives be happy. I attended SMU Counseling Program in Plano from 2010 to 2013. I was privileged to complete my practicum and internship at the Resource Center in Dallas. I requested this opportunity so I could help as many people as possible. This was not standard procedure, but I was allowed to do the unusual. I believe clients simply want to be happy. They want to make their choices in life without guilt or shame. Everyone deserves that freedom. I hope that I can help people facilitate that life. I am happy to share techniques that provide acceptance that allow people to not be impacted by the judgmental world in which we live. Please give me a call and see if we connect and if you feel comfortable and safe speaking with me.

I currently live in Texas and am licensed in Texas and Wisconsin. I enjoy a great variety of interests so it may be easiest to say I have a great appreciation for most things. Many people would describe me as having a great sense of humor and I do enjoy laughing and love hearing the laughter of others; In the very moment we laugh, for that brief instant, we forget all of our problems and find joy. It may be difficult to remain there, but if we can find if for one moment, we can find it each day. I specialize in client-focused therapy, existential psychotherapy, and mindfulness to help you find your way and explore what is meaningful to you. Website: https://begoodtomyself.com

Hi! My name is Ruthie. I am from the great state of Texas (Texans are always proud of being from Texas for some reason!). I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and the University of Mobile with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. I approach our time together with integrating Christian, biblically, faith-based principles along with clinical treatment approaches and techniques tailored for you. I'm a narrative therapist at heart, which means we all have a story of our lives, and in the sharing of our story, we discover possible meaning, insights, healing, and growth. It is my goal to create an inviting, warm, safe place for you to share that story, and we can discover together how the Lord wants to bring healing and hope. It is my hope that people will take away from sessions feeling supported, cared for, listened to, not alone, comforted, encouraged, and with a spark of faith that it is ok to have the courage to hope again.

Grapevine, TX - Accepting clients in TX

Hi there, I'm Parag. You were not put here on this earth to suffer. You deserve to live your life with happiness and peace of mind. Mental illness and addiction can rob anyone of these precious gifts. When you turn to family and friends for support, often they don't know what to say or how to help. You can end up feeling very alone in the world. No one wants to develop mental illness or addictions. You didn't do anything wrong. Feeling emotionally numb, mentally overwhelmed, or having thoughts like "I just don't want to be on this earth anymore" are not things that people willingly choose for themselves. They are illnesses. We often get sick through no fault of our own. Just like some people get diabetes or heart disease, some people get mental illness. Working over five years in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I have helped patients overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, phobias, relationship problems, and self-esteem issues. My approach is to get to know you as a person and work on addressing what is really going on with your mind and your life right now. I know getting therapy can be scary, but I will do everything I can to help you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Give yourself a chance to have peace of mind again.

I work to empower my clients through an authentic, humanistic, strengths-based perspective. I see life as a journey of learning, where connection is key, and there is no time to waste giving away time and energy to the things that get in the way of serving our highest good. Hi, I've been a Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years. I have worked with a wide variety of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults. In addition, I have worked with many families and am well-versed in parenting support. I have done clinic-based work, home-based work, and currently, on a part-time basis, I provide equine-assistsed therapy. I truly believe that all people have the answers to their own problems and consider my clients the "experts" on themselves. Supporting people to take charge of their lives and reach their potential is extremely important to me. I complete thorough assessments and work hard to streamline diagnoses, as many people have too many "labels" attached to them. I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, which is an eye movement therapy, similar to EMDR, that helps people suffering from trauma, as well as anxiety and depression. My hobbies include fishing, walking, gardening, horseback riding, and traveling. I own an English Bulldog, an Olde English Bulldogge, a 110 pound American Staffordshire Terrier, and two horses.

I’m Micheal Franklin, and my journey into therapy began in a blue-collar family where my relatives worked in textile mills, battery plants, and furniture factories. Growing up, I aspired to carve a different path, aiming to be the first in my family to earn a college degree. I graduated from Western Piedmont Community College in Drug and Alcohol Technology and earned an Associate in Arts in 1996. I then continued my education at Gardner-Webb University, obtaining my Bachelor’s in Science in Human Services. Recognizing that the job market wouldn’t provide enough financial stability, I joined the Marines in 1998. During my service, I got married and welcomed a baby boy, which motivated me to seek part-time work with troubled adolescents and teens facing addiction issues. After leaving the Marines in 2003, I worked in a group home for adolescents and later became a Prevention Supervisor for adolescent substance use treatment. I also served as the lead treatment therapist for a Men's Intensive Outpatient Program at the Cognitive Connection in Hickory, NC. My passion for helping others led me to teach parenting classes and collaborate with Child Protective Services. I pursued my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of West Florida while gaining experience in Community Mental Health. I also worked in a drug court program for two years. My name is Angela Thornell, a Licensed Professional Counselor, authorized to treat clients in both Texas and in Georgia. I have worked in the mental health field for over 23 years, and my expertise is related to working with adults that experience issues with both substance use and the common mental health issues that commonly co-occur. More specifically I specialize with helping clients understand the purpose drugs and alcohol have served in their lives so they can learn better ways of coping with issues that commonly follow - depression, anxiety, and trauma that lead to low self worth, no motivation, sleeplessness, overthinking, and low self esteem. Together, we will work to reduce your inner critic, reduce your shame, and heal your pain. My goal is to assist people in working towards fulfilling their fullest potential through healing trauma and overcoming life's obstacles. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
