Hi, I'm Erin! The one thing I love about being a therapist is being able to help individuals break the cycles in their lives that cause them feelings of "being stuck." I utilize a mix of tools/ interventions from Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy that allow clients to explore unresolved issues, challenge their thoughts, and develop insight into barriers that can be blocking their growth. My main job as a therapist is to teach my clients how to regain control over their lives whether it's from anxiety, depression or stress; we will work together to come up with a therapeutic style that helps clients progress towards their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal after every session is to have clients feel like they have a space to express themselves in a way that doesn't make them feel judged; where they can be their authentic selves. Clients will be able to leave their sessions with interventions and tools they can apply to their day-to-day lives as an individual such as grounding techniques or positive self-talk or tools they can use with others that help with establishing boundaries and communication skills. Clients can also expect homework assignments if requested, that relate to problem areas in their lives. Therapy is different for each person and each person deserves to have a session that meets their needs.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a range of methods such as Cognitive Restructuring that involves identifying and challenging negative or distorted thoughts and replacing them with more realistic and positive ones. Exposure Therapy exposes individuals to feared situations or triggers to help them overcome anxiety or phobias. Socratic Questioning helps clients examine their thoughts, beliefs, and assumptions, encouraging self-reflection and challenging unhelpful patterns. Most importantly psychoeducation to teach clients about the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors helps them gain insight.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I have several strengths that I believe greatly contribute to the positive outcomes of my clients' journeys. My easygoing personality allows me to quickly connect with individuals and create a safe and non-judgmental space where they can express themselves freely. I truly enjoy meeting each person where they are mentally & emotionally so they can live their truth and progress at a pace that is comfortable for them. Whether you're seeking relief from anxiety, seeking guidance in relationships, or striving for personal empowerment, my goal is to empower you to overcome obstacles, cultivate resilience, and create a fulfilling and meaningful life. I am committed to supporting you every step of the way on your journey towards healing and growth.
