My name is Shavone Marie Williams-Moss, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I entered the field of social work largely because of my family background; I was raised by a single father while my mother struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues and could not perform her role as a parent. One day as an adult in my 20's, I saw my mother sitting on a bench on the main street in Kentucky. I welcomed her into my home only to discover she not only suffered from homelessness but bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. My mother lived with me for a year, after which she passed away. This situation made me wonder, what if, in her younger years, she would have met someone who was supportive, understanding, kind, selfless, and invested in helping her be the best version of her, she could be. It was then that I decided to enter the Social Work Field. I wanted to provide help to those who could not help themselves and aid to those in need.

At the Child & Adult Behavior Center, we help both adults and children, as well as parents. For adults, we help you find ways to cope with stress, anxiety, loss and depression. Not only talking through and understanding, but also concrete "what to do about it" coping skills, lead to calmer, more stable emotions and relationships. We find cognitive behavioral therapy very useful, and within that, learning the skills of mindfulness, a form of in-the-moment meditative thinking, to calm and focus the mind when emotions overtake. This fosters a new way of viewing and handling stressful situations as they arise. For children's therapy, we work with you, and with your child. Parents' feedback is a critical part of helping children feel and do better. We help you with parent-child interactions to find your way as you navigate the seas of child behavior. Our specializations are the treatment for Aspergers/autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, emotional self regulation, the behavioral and emotional aspects of sensory issues, anxiety and depression. Our special programs also treat a wide range of neuroatypical, developmentally challenged children. Neuro-typical parent-child relationships, family relations, and parenting issues for all children and teens are also our focus. We help - you help your child - with ideas and techniques to put into action. Ideas that can greatly reduce the stress and storm of being a parent in the trenches. Peace in the home is possible!

You can know that something needs to change and still feel unsure where to begin. Maybe you're overthinking everything, putting pressure on yourself to get it right, carrying experiences you've never fully processed, or trying to find your footing in a season of life that has changed you. Sometimes, even when things look fine from the outside, they can feel very different on the inside. I want therapy to be a place where you can let your guard down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and feel understood without having to explain away your feelings. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I draw from evidence-based approaches to help you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build coping skills, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Trinity University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary's University, both in San Antonio. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). My additional training includes TF-CBT and TGCTA, and I am pursuing certification in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders to better support individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to parenthood.

Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless. If you could just “get over it,” you would, but sometimes the brain simply cannot process traumatic events without help, and this is why trauma therapy exists. :) I'm an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas. I've been in practice for nearly 15 years and have been doing EMDR therapy for 13 of those. I specialize in helping teens and adults process trauma of all kinds. My goal is to help my clients gain the skills needed to process and adapt to traumatic memories, and then allow them to do so in a safe environment. I teach them how to build boundaries and follow through, and to treat themselves with self-compassion rather than judgment and harsh expectations. Trauma doesn’t have to ruin (or run) your life. If you’re hurting, please know I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

I’m not a passive therapist—I’m a guide, a witness, and a fierce believer in your healing. With nearly three decades of clinical experience, I help individuals and couples move out of survival mode and into real, lasting transformation. My work is direct, trauma‑informed, and deeply present. If you’re ready for honest, grounded therapy that actually changes your life, I’m here I draw from CBT, DBT, somatic therapy, attachment-focused work, EMDR principles, and the Gottman Method. I integrate evidence‑based tools with intuition, nervous system awareness, and relational depth. Healing isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about remembering what has always been strong, sacred, and whole. What It’s Like to Work With Me I’m warm, grounded, and radically present. I don’t sit back and nod; I’m engaged. I help you understand your patterns quickly, regulate your nervous system, and build emotional safety within yourself and your relationships. You don’t have to carry your pain alone. I’m here to walk with you through the hard parts and help you build a life that feels steady, honest, and aligned. Who I Work Best With My clients are cycle‑breakers—smart, self‑aware people who are exhausted from repeating emotional patterns that no longer fit who they’re becoming. They want more clarity, more connection, more self‑respect, and more peace. They’re ready to stop abandoning themselves, stop settling for draining relationships, and start communicating with honesty instead of reactivity. Treatment Goals Clients learn to regulate their nervous system, heal attachment wounds, rebuild trust in themselves, and create relationships that feel reciprocal and safe. Couples repair connection, reduce conflict, and rebuild emotional intimacy. Individuals become grounded, confident, and capable of choosing relationships and environments that honor their worth. If you’re ready to begin, I’m here.

’ve felt called to become a therapist since I was nine years old, and that sense of purpose has stayed with me ever since. I began my career in a community mental health setting, where I worked closely with individuals experiencing severe mental illness and learned the importance of practical, real-life coping skills. That experience continues to shape my approach today—I focus on helping clients build insight, develop tools they can actually use, and feel more confident navigating their relationships and daily lives. Outside of therapy, I enjoy slowing things down and staying grounded through gardening, crocheting, and camping. I’m also a big reader—especially when it comes to romance novels. Family is a central part of my life, and I value the many roles I hold as a wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother. Raising both boys and girls—including twins—has given me a wide range of life experiences that help me connect with clients from all kinds of backgrounds.

My name is Rachel Portlock, and I have been counseling individuals for over six years. I am both a Professional School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. My experience working with children, adolescents, college students, young adults, and adults has given me a unique understanding of the challenges people face during life's many transitions. I believe that counseling should be a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, self-esteem, motivation, relationships, life transitions, academic pressures, career decisions, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to help. Together, we will identify your strengths, explore areas for growth, and create meaningful goals that align with the life you want to live. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I utilize Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches to help clients develop practical skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, increase self-awareness, and build confidence. I believe that every person already possesses strengths and abilities that can be leveraged to create positive change. I have extensive experience helping children and teens navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges while also supporting college students and adults through important life transitions, career development, relationship concerns, and personal growth. No matter your age or stage of life, my goal is to help you discover the tools, resilience, and confidence needed to thrive. Seeking support is a courageous first step, and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and becoming the best version of yourself. I look forward to joining you on your journey. Alyssa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Therapist. She studied Behavioral Sciences in undergrad where she fell in love with learning about why people behave the way they do. She went on to receive her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at The University of Houston. Alyssa trained in acute mental healthcare, where she worked with patients to address a critical moment of their mental health in inpatient psychiatric care. From there she moved to outpatient care & individual therapy where she enjoys working with clients on meeting their long term goals & processing lingering issues that hold them back from reaching their full potential. Alyssa understands that it’s not the happy moments in life that bring people to therapy, but she firmly believes that true strength comes from rebuilding.

My name is Noe Rios and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I received my Masters in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling with a focus on mental health, and have been practicing 9 years with combined experience in mental health and substance use problems. My therapeutic style is direct and pragmatic, a blend of CBT and solution-focused work – it emphasizes building insight into how life circumstances may be contributing to the way that you’re feeling, taking a practical approach to solving problems, and exploring alternate perspectives that may be more helpful. I believe faith can also play a significant role in healing and moving forward, but I leave this to the discretion of the client.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. Over the past four years, my work has focused more on geriatric mental health and life transitions. I also work alongside treating adults of all ages with problems like anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), bipolar disorders and other mental health conditions. My earlier community‑based experience ranged from children to older adults and provided a great deal of experience in working with people with a wide range of mental health and chronic conditions. I ground my practice in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, integrating Dialectal Behavioral Therapy skills and Mindfulness practices. I hope to help you navigate your way through your current challenges.
