"We don't have to do it all alone; we were never meant to." – Brené Brown
This belief is at the heart of my work as a therapist. I am passionate about walking alongside my clients as a team, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Many people share things with me that they have never shared with anyone else, which is why I believe that trust and the therapeutic relationship are the most important foundations of therapy.
I work with individuals ages 10 to 55 and have experience supporting both individuals and families. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). My specialty is working with teens and young adults, as I believe this transitional period is critical for personal growth and reaching one’s full potential.
Before becoming a therapist, I served as a firefighter and first responder for over a decade, including combat firefighting tours in Iraq. This background has shaped my deep commitment to resilience, healing, and supporting others through life’s most challenging moments.
As a licensed clinical mental health counselor with 11+ years of experience, I have worked with a range of clients and mental health challenges. My expertise centers around helping people heal from past hurt, calm down anxious thoughts, and find their voice to create healthier relationships. My approach is collaborative, strength based, and holistic. I believe everyone has everything they need within them to live their best life. My role is to support and encourage you on your journey to uncover your inner strengths to live a life in peace and wholeness. Together we will explore multiple aspects of your life and set goals in each area. I will teach you new skills and support you as you become stronger and more resilient in overcoming your stressors.
I am passionate about developing safe, meaningful relationships to help you explore challenging belief systems that may be getting in the way of you becoming and feeling your best self. I have over 20 years of experience working with youth and adults. My passion is helping women through varying life transitions to become overcomers of their circumstances. Through a variety of therapeutic modalities, individualized to meet your needs, I can help you transform thought patterns that may be leading to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or that may have resulted from trauma, grief and loss, etc. I enjoy helping women find a work/life balance as well as helping mothers looking to build stronger relationships with their children.
I love building relationships with people; therefore through a strength-based and collaborative approach, we will work together to identify tools that will help improve your ability to communicate with others, strengthen relationships, and build skills.
Hello. I am a creative clinical social worker in practice since 2001 licensed in Tennessee and South Carolina. I have provided behavioral health services in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, partial program, and health care settings as well as a previous private practice and a medical school. I provide services to adult and geriatric clients only. I am trained in DBT, EMDR, MI, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, WET, addictions, IFS, grief and loss, and body centered, somatic therapy interventions. Basically, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have a background of working with individuals but due to my family therapy training I do want to know your family situation and ways that work and don't work for you. I have been working with Medicare clients and SPMI (Severe and Persistent Mental Illness). Many time I have found that clients who usually manage their lives well can sometimes feel overwhelmed by changes that occur in their lives. I truly want to locate and focus on strengths, but want to be supportive of areas where support is needed. Life can be difficult and learning coping skills can help us navigate both the highs and lows that life brings us. If needed, I guide individual to explore and analysis their past. I am friendly and positive. I want to help you feel better. If there are traumas, I will listen. 🛷

Welcome! I'm in recovery from alcohol use disorder, and I'm a combat veteran. Learning to cope wasn't optional for me; it was survival, and that experience shapes how I show up for you now. I understand anxiety and depression from the inside, and I bring a grounded, no-judgment approach to every session.
Whether you're facing a major life transition or seeking to learn coping skills, I'm here to walk with you through the process. Healing isn't linear, and I don't expect it to be. Coping with these pressures, whether they stem from emotional distress, anxiety, employment or relationship issues, or even trauma, is incredibly difficult. I'm here to help. Let's work together to transform your life experiences into a source of purpose and strength.

Practical – Tools that work in everyday life, not just theory.
Explorative – Space to reflect deeply in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Accountability-focused – Growth comes from owning your choices and committing to real change.
This works well if you are willing to:
• Look at your own patterns and find areas for growth and change
• Practice new skills between our sessions and create a plan for change
• Stay open to feedback, exploration, and trying approaches that fit your unique needs
Hello! I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based treatment. I graduated from Southern University at New Orleans with both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work. As a wife and mother, I understand the complexities of life and am passionate about working with clients who have a genuine desire to change their lives for the better. I believe every client is the expert on themselves, and together, we can enhance their ability to function across different areas of life and achieve their treatment goals while prioritizing their safety and respect.
Maybe you love your partner but rarely feel interested in sex. Maybe your desire has changed after motherhood, stress, medication changes, relationship difficulties, trauma, or simply over time. You might find yourself thinking, “I want to want sex—but I just don’t.”
I specialize in working with women experiencing low sexual desire, desire differences in relationships, intimacy concerns, sexual shame, and feeling disconnected from their bodies or sexual selves.
Sex therapy with me is not about pressuring you to have more sex or meeting someone else’s expectations. Together, we’ll explore the emotional, relational, psychological, biological, and lifestyle factors that may be affecting your desire. We may work on understanding your unique desire patterns, reducing pressure around intimacy, strengthening boundaries and communication, reconnecting with your body, and discovering what intimacy and pleasure actually mean to you.
My goal is to provide a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can talk openly about sex, relationships, desire, and intimacy without embarrassment or shame—and develop a sexual life that feels authentic to you.
I am Teri, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner (LSATP) with extensive experience in behavioral health, having worked in the field since 2018. My dedication lies in supporting individuals who are navigating mental health challenges and substance use disorders. I believe in the power of education, helping my clients understand how their behaviors and past experiences shape their present circumstances and future potential. I am now accepting clients in the State of Florida and Tennessee.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empowerment. I work collaboratively with my clients to uncover the how, when, what, and why of their struggles, so they can better understand the underlying causes of their issues. By addressing these root causes, I believe individuals can begin to break the cycle of unhealthy behaviors and make meaningful changes in their lives.
If you are struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges, I am here to help you gain clarity, learn new coping strategies, and create a path toward lasting change. Together, we can work toward understanding and healing so you can live a more fulfilling life.
Through my years of practice I have come to understand that the most important factor in having a positive and productive therapy experience is the solid collaboration between the therapist and the patients. In a trusting, confidential and empathic environment one can manage challenging issues and find a way towards self improvement and further growth. I provide support and guidance and encourage self determination to help my client reach goals that are important to them. It's a valuable partnership in which I hope to assist in finding a way to more fulfilling relationships, more satisfaction and greater self esteem.

Or maybe one struggles to manage their emotions and behaviors but they do not understand why. Maybe a person's life seems pretty good or even great. But they're puzzled as to why they feel the way they do. One may have thought "I have no reason to feel this way." I invite you to explore with me the possible origins of these thoughts and feelings. There are times we all need help and support.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Charlotte, NC, and also serving Tennessee virtually. I received my Master's degree from Pfeiffer University, Charlotte, NC, and I've been practicing for 12 years. I believe when clients have a safe place, a genuine understanding, and are free from judgment, they can be their true selves, allowing them to do their best work. I also believe that with support and guided direction, clients can take the necessary steps to make progress on their goals and create the lasting changes they want to achieve in their lives.
I have approximately 30 years of experience in virtually all clinical settings.
