In my practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I use evidence-based techniques to help adults cope with issues such as grief, relationship conflict, anxiety, depression, and symptoms of stress or burnout. I have spent the last 12 years working with adults in hospitals, groups, community, and individual settings. It is my personal goal that you will find my approach helpful in your specific situation and that you can benefit from my experiences as a therapist.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session begins with a brief introduction and an opportunity to answer any questions you may have. We then discuss the difficulties you have been experiencing and explore the changes you would like to make. Together we will create an individualized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in the inherent worth, ability to change, and healing of all individuals and feel dedicated to helping others. I am honored to offer support in your life’s journey and look forward to collaborating with you toward your desired outcome.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy building rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds and strive to create a calm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment for healing. I work with adults of all ages facing a variety of difficult situations and life's challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice as an LCSW, I use evidence-based techniques to help individuals cope with grief, anxiety, and symptoms of stress. I have found that Cognitive Behavior Therapy encourages the exploration of thinking patterns and resulting emotions or actions which may be problematic. The use of CBT exercises offers alternative views to challenging situations and helps create meaningful changes.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an essential tool that focuses on difficult life situations. This therapy approach allows for open dialogue and improved communication, emotion regulation, and coping skills.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness Based Therapy embraces practices that include present moment awareness, breathing exercises, and meditation to encourage a relaxed body and improved mood. In my practice I collaborate with the client to develop an individualized mindfulness practice that can help reduce symptoms of anxiety or depression.
