I’m an outcome-focused therapist who helps adults navigate anxiety, anger, emotional overwhelm, burnout, and grief. Many of the people I work with are used to being the strong one, the parent, caregiver, first responder, or high stress professional who holds everything together for everyone else while privately feeling overwhelmed, reactive, exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. Therapy with me is supportive, practical, and focused on real-life change, not just talk therapy. Together, we’ll identify the patterns and triggers keeping you stuck, strengthen emotional regulation, and build coping skills that help you respond rather than react. I also provide practical “homework” between sessions so you can take what we discuss and begin using it in your everyday life. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience and a Certified Grief Counselor. I specialize in DBT-based skills, emotion regulation, women’s issues, grief, and major life transitions. I accept Aetna and several other major insurance plans in Pennsylvania, and self-pay. Virtual sessions are available, including early morning and evening appointments for busy schedules.

Are you navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss, or other situations that are interfering with your confidence and comfort in your everyday? Are you overwhelmed and would you like to gain new perspectives, grow your present and emerging strengths and explore improved life balance? I am strength-focused and offer a collaborative partnership opportunity to focus on you and your goals. I strive to provide new perspectives and empower you to explore your current and potential skills and strengths as well as offer you opportunities to discuss and review their use and benefit to you as you activate them in your day to day. I enjoy providing tools, skills and resources that you can use and incorporate into your existing skill set to help you explore your own empowerment and personal growth. I am an active empathetic listener and I consider that a priority in building a therapeutic partnership. You know you best! I will not assume and will ask questions to help the process move forward in a manner that promotes your individual growth toward your goals. I like to use real-life examples in discussion and I often employ humor in this and will get to know specifics that will personalize these examples. I am well-trained and experienced in many evidence-based treatments and together we can explore and plan how to proceed and progress in these for you. Reaching out to engage in therapy can be scary. Please know I understand this and will provide a reassuring, supportive setting to focus on you and on what you are looking to get out of the therapy experience. It is a partnership focused on you, for you and in support of your growth and life balance progress. We can discuss and plan how to best work together toward your goals.

I specialize in working with men who struggle with self-esteem, relationships difficulties, motivation issues, social anxiety, ADHD, depression, and parenting issues. The clients I work with generally fall into 3 groups of people. The 1st struggles with self-esteem, social anxiety, some difficulties with forming healthy relationships, sensitivity to rejection, uncertainty of who they are, and being self-critical. The 2nd struggles with ADHD, indecisiveness, following through on goals, feeling disorganized, talking compulsively, racing thoughts, having too many ideas, and being perfectionistic to a fault. The 3rd group I work with are fathers or husbands. They may have difficulties controlling their emotions, connecting with their partner or children in a meaningful way, or communicating their thoughts and feelings in a way that's honest and empathetic. Every client I see is unique and not everything listed always applies, but if you see yourself in any of these groups then I encourage you to keep reading. Unfortunately I do not work with clients under the age of 24.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Bradley Peters. I am a transplanted Canadian, who has been living in Pennsylvania since 2001, just before 9/11. I have been a therapeutic specialist in the field for over 17 years. Reaching out to a professional can be daunting, but once you do, having that support and learning tools to help change those painful feelings becomes invaluable. My practice is small, isolated and private. I serve adolescents and adults 14 and up. Currently, I am only seeing clients through telehealth, but I am hoping this does not dissuade you. Telehealth may sound impersonal, but in reality, it can be a very convenient, safe and secure way to communicate issues, and I have yet to have any difficulties establishing strong relationships through this medium.

Hello, I'm Chris, I am a licensed psychologist and also hold a license as a professional counselor. If you've ever felt like you've been alone in society and that you are experiencing a sense of stress related to societal expectations that are unrealistic or built for those who are in a group you feel you don't belong to, I may be a good fit for you. I approach my work with clients in a way that is culturally informed, focusing on feminist principles that are aimed at removing barriers that are in place while acknowledging the very real struggles of those who are not members of the majority group. I have an extensive history of working with individuals of various minority group backgrounds, but specialize and focus in working with people who identify within the LGBTQ+ community, including offering affirming services and helping people navigate coming out, family and peer relationships, and romantic and sexual concerns. I also have experience and training in gender-affirming services and seek to help clients discover and celebrate their true selves. While I specialize in the above, I am here to help anyone who needs it. Coming to therapy is often a scary experience but it is one that can be incredibly rewarding. I strive to provide a warm, comforting, supportive environment for you to be yourself and grow through whatever concerns you are coming in with. I look forward to working with you!

Hi! I'm Emily, founder of Caine Counseling Services and a licensed clinical therapist with over 12 years of experience helping individuals overcome emotional challenges, develop coping skills and a sense of confidence to help take control of their lives and reach a sense of fulfillment. I believe therapy should be supportive of the whole person, honoring both your inner world as well as everyday life. My goal is to make therapy something you can look forward to, even when it's hard- something that feels relatable, empowering and different from outdated approaches. Rather than feeling clinical or one-sided, therapy is a space where you can feel heard, receive meaningful feedback and have a real conversation within a relationship that feels genuine.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.

A plan, specific actions and personalized strategies - This is what I give my clients to help them get unstuck, overcome suffering, and fully enjoy the important things in their life. The Bible, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and neuropsychology - The sources of wisdom I use to guide our plans and strategies. When life throws you for a loop, your mind and emotions are overwhelming and don't make sense, and you don't know what to do, you need someone who understands the mind and emotions, and how to tame them. I'm Dr. Matt Bridgman. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband and father, and a clinical psychologist and board certified neuropsychologist. I have a Master's degree in Christian Leadership and a PhD in Clinical Psychology, both from Fuller Theological Seminary. I've been studying the human mind (mood, emotions, behavior, cognition) for over 20 years, through the lenses of God's Word and neuropsychology. I've helped thousands of people with mood/emotion and also cognitive troubles coming from many sources: depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, concussions and traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and numerous other mental health, neurological, and physical health conditions. I've worked in community counseling centers, inpatient psychiatry units, big academic medical centers, small community hospitals, outpatient behavioral health clinics, neurology clinics, inpatient physical rehabilitation units, and VA medical centers. I'm excited now to be helping others through my own private practice. I help my clients not just through empathy and good listening, but through helping them understand their own mind better. I guide them through shaping and training their mind, overcoming suffering, and thriving in the process of it all.

Hi. I'm Bill. I've been working in this field since 2003 treating adults experiencing symptoms related to the anxiety disorders, depressed mood, identity and self-concept difficulties, relationship problems, life-transition difficulties, and traumatic memories. These difficulties along with other related topics that may surface during a therapy session. My therapy approach is quite straightforward, collaborative, and non-judgmental. It's structured to help you develop a healthier and happier life. We begin by identifying the circumstances that prompted you to seek therapy. Then I help you to develop skills and solutions tailored for you to help you move forward toward that healthier life. It's a collaborative approach. You and I work together through this process. From this perspective, listening is the most-important part of communication. When I genuinely listen to your experiences and concerns without judgment or distraction, I can respond appropriately to your concerns. "Right Speech begins with Right Listening." PLEASE BOOK APPOINTMENTS ON THE HOUR. THANKS.

Hi, welcome. I am so proud of you for taking the first step into your healing journey. My name is Erica and I have been working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults for over 15 years. I have a strong knowledge base of resources in the Philadelphia metro area. I currently only have DAYTIME availability due to current clients having established evening sessions. I became a mom during COVID, which was a big transition for me and quite the journey. This means I can provide insight, compassion and knowledge about parenting issues, fertility struggles, traumatic labor and delivery and pregnancy loss. I started my career in case management working with children and families, connecting them to community resources, and therapies, then I grew into acute care, running children and adolescent group therapy, family therapy and individual and crisis counseling. Since most of my history is in acute care, I have a passion for working in crisis and trauma, working with all demographics. My extensive background in crisis and trauma allows me the compassion and space for those needing a little extra support, to check my email and text those clients throughout the day. I have a strong passion for veterans, active duty/reserves, their families and all first responders. As a first responder wife, I empathize with the difficulties the schedule can be on you, your family and your mental health. I have recently completed Rutgers Certificate Program in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention, as well as Completed the Dare to Lead, program by Brene Brown. I am a volunteer coach for special Olympics, participate in advocacy work for survivors of military loss, on the Delaware county advisory council for veterans.

My name is Dr. Steven Mehl and I have been a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania since July of 2016. I have worked primarily in college counseling centers as well as in nursing and rehabilitation facilities. In addition, I have worked for over a decade with adults of varying abilities who carry a diagnosis of developmental (autism spectrum) and/or intellectual disabilities. I have also gained some experience working with individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction while working at an outpatient treatment center. I have worked with individuals of all different ages and backgrounds and have enjoyed helping them address different psychological and general life issues. I practice primarily cognitive-behavioral (CBT) therapy, while also utilizing some alternative approaches. As a therapist, I strive to help clients by first establishing a sense of their background and aspects of their current motivation. It is this motivation that will help to propel the therapeutic process forward and ensure that you, the client, are the one who is in control.
