I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania. My counseling style is laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize them to overcome obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the difficult things and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We can discuss personal struggles, and I can teach you some coping skills to manage your emotions, thoughts, and experiences more effectively. I usually spend the first session getting to know you better. I am interested in learning about your past experiences and how you currently see yourself, others, and your environments.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have provided counseling services to many individuals, and in very different circumstances over the years. I believe my greatest strength as a clinician is my ability to connect and empathize with my clients. I love teaching new skills to my clients to assist them in managing their individual struggles more effectively every day.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral interventions during therapy sessions to explore past experiences to make connections between current cognitive schemas and distorted thinking that is impacting your ability to manage emotions effectively and engage with others more appropriately.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am trained in providing Dialectical Behavior therapy and utilize several interventions to assist you in making connections between the mind and body. I can also help you appropriately identify and label your emotions to defeat distorted cognitions that usually accompany many emotions.
