I am a psychodynamic-oriented therapist with a special interest in early childhood attachment and how that impacts present day relationships. I am also basic-trained in EMDR and equipped to provide EMDR virtually. I believe in an empowerment-based approach, and that even our maladaptive coping mechanisms are strategies that we have developed to help us cope with and survive life's trials. I like to reframe negative beliefs that clients hold about themselves and how they cope into strengths, and then collaborate with clients on strategies to achieve desired changes.

I work with men who think deeply, care a lot, and feel worn down by demands of modern life. You may be managing stress that shows up across multiple areas—career, relationships, identity, spirituality. Part of you wants things to be different, while another part feels unsure. This isn't a problem, but a starting point. We move at a pace that respects where you are and recognizes that progress doesn’t have to be dramatic to be therapeutic. You're taking that first step toward a life that feels not only manageable, but meaningful.

How much of your life is spent waiting to feel confident enough to live it? I’m Fred, a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults struggling with anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties, and major life stress. My practice is direct, collaborative, and practical. I draw primarily from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches. A lot of people come to therapy believing they need more confidence, more clarity, or more certainty before they can move forward. Often, confidence is built differently: by learning to act, adapt, and make meaningful decisions even while doubt, anxiety, and difficult emotions are still present. Together, we’ll work on changing the patterns that keep you stuck and building the flexibility and confidence to move toward the life you want.

Hi! I’m Jess! I’ve been a licensed counselor for almost 20 years, and I’ve truly loved the opportunity to walk alongside so many different people through the various times of life. One of my favorite parts of the work is getting to know someone in those early conversations. I genuinely enjoy hearing your story, learning what has brought you to therapy, and understanding the experiences that have shaped you. There’s something meaningful about getting to know the person behind the struggles they’re bringing into the room. I especially enjoy working with people who are ready to explore the possibility of change. You don’t have to have everything figured out, and you certainly don’t have to know exactly what needs to change before you begin. Sometimes it’s enough to recognize that something isn’t working the way you hoped and to feel ready—or even just curious—to see what might be different. My hope is that therapy can become a place where you feel understood, supported, and encouraged as you begin to imagine what life could look like when things start to shift.

Hi, I’m Dr. Catherine T. Revak, DSW, LCSW—but please, call me Cate. My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a traditional one, and each chapter of my life has shaped how I show up for clients today. I served in the United States Air Force and spent many years in the financial services industry, experiences that taught me how to navigate complexity, hold difficult conversations, and remain present during times of stress and uncertainty. Later, I returned to school at the University of Pennsylvania, where I studied Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, and completed both my master’s and doctoral degrees in social work. My clinical training focused on veterans’ mental health, grief, loss, and bereavement. My time working at the VA and in hospice care deeply influenced my approach to therapy, reinforcing the importance of compassion, attunement, and the healing power of being truly witnessed. In therapy, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. I draw from psychodynamic, narrative, and trauma-informed approaches, but at the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship itself. Whether you are navigating grief, transition, or uncertainty, I walk alongside you as you find meaning, connection, and a way forward that honors your experience.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, or relationship challenges, we’ll work collaboratively to understand what’s shaped your story and develop new ways of responding with clarity and confidence. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with over 24 years of diverse experience in outpatient therapy with people ranging from age 3 to 86. After graduating from Chestnut Hill College in April of 2001, I quickly became experienced in trauma counseling by working with survivors and the victims' families of the September 11th terrorist attacks. In addition, to outpatient therapy, I am a high school school counselor. Approaches include cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic and rational-emotive strategies that will be tailor made to your needs. In addition to trauma, I have worked with clients on the following: Generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, life changes, parenting issues, body image, divorce, bipolar disorder, depression, work place bullying, self-esteem, empty nest syndrome, phobias, and sexual identity issues. Welcome to our space! In our time together we will address your concerns, as well as explore and highlight your personal strengths and attributes. I am licensed in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Vermont. My style as a therapist is eclectic and energetic. Therapy can be a potent experience, but I am here to help accommodate the tears, toil, frustration, humor and other emotions that you cannot or may not wish to share with others. The world, our jobs, finances, and other obstacles are some of the many things that can zap our valuable mental and physical energy in a day. Burnout is more real now than ever before. Coming here is a way to recharge yourself so that you can be more present in the most important areas of your life and enjoy it in the process. We work together to develop skills and outlets in which to manage these stressors. You can become the most positive, healthy version of yourself. I welcome the pleasure of working with people from many different cultures and backgrounds, and I am an avid supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have been working 100 percent virtually. This direction in therapy has allowed me to interact with more people that are not within my geographical location. When a person is in an environment where they feel most comfortable, they are better able to express themselves. My source of empowerment comes from my husband and our enjoyment in caring for our animals. We have a good start on a boring zoo.. (dogs, cats, chickens, fish). They are my reason for working from home. For me, being outdoors and caring for animals is very therapeutic as well as rewarding.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.

Together, we'll explore the challenges that have gotten in the way of you living your best quality of life and getting the relationships with others that you deserve. I use an eclectic approach that starts with coaching and coping skills and reaches into the deeper issues that cause fear, loneliness, and frustration by combining interpersonal effectiveness, Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral methodologies with insight driven approaches such as relational therapy and trauma focused perspectives as needed. I am a licensed clinical social worker with Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I have worked with individuals in relational and traumatic crises for over fifteen years. I use humor, optimism, compassion, and honesty to ease the awkwardness of therapy and guide people to embrace their worth, freeing them to find what they seek in others.

Hi! I am Clarissa Hummel Clare, LPC. After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree, I had the opportunity to work in multiple community settings as a caseworker. Through this work, I realized my desire to be able to work with people in reaching personal goals through talk therapy. I graduated from Villanova University with a master’s in counseling and human services. Upon graduation, I worked in schools, community centers and private practices gaining knowledge of different therapeutic approaches to better assist in the helping field. I look forward to continuing to help people reach desired goals while providing a safe and judgement free environment to encourage open and authentic communication with one another.

I work with women navigating life transitions, including changes in relationships, family roles, and health. These experiences can bring anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the effects of trauma into focus, and can influence how thoughts, emotions, and the body interact. As a yoga teacher and yoga therapist for over 25 years, mindfulness is a natural part of my work and informs how I understand and approach the mind body connection. I integrate mindfulness based stress reduction, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and somatic therapy into sessions in a way that supports awareness and emotional regulation. My training as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, Florida, South Carolina and Delaware allows me to bring these approaches together in a way that is both clinically grounded and also responsive to your experience.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
