My style of therapy is one of an eclectic approach that allows me to utilize appropriate interventions based on the needs of each person. I have worked with adolescents and adults in residential/crisis treatment centers, colleges, community mental health facilities, and substance use treatment centers. I have experience with clients diagnosed with severe mental illness, substance abuse, trauma, intellectual disabilities, anxiety, and interpersonal issues. I work with individuals ages 14 and up, who are either coming to therapy for the first time or would like to continue therapy to work on their personal goals. I am a Licensed Social Worker who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life changes, develop healthy skills, and feel empowered to achieve their personal goals. I work with clients to identify patterns, behaviors, and thoughts that are negatively impacting their lives through a person-centered and strengths-based approach. I can see clients virtually that live in PA.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have worked as a therapist treating adults in individual and group therapy for 4 years. I specialize in anxiety, grief, and trauma. My approach includes therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narriative Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. I'm always looking to expand my approach to best support my clients. My experience has been with community mental heath, two CIRC programs, and providing short term grief therapy at the Medical Examiner's office. Each of these have provided me with greater understanding of the system of care of Philadelphia and the reality of navigating it especially when resources can be nonexistent for housing or other basic needs. My specialities in grief and trauma are two sides of the same coin - intense loss can be traumatic. This philosophy is central to how I approach supporting clients in their journey. Both need to be address to help the healing really start.

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to show up as your full self. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate space where you can explore what you are going through without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. I see therapy as something we do together. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and find ways to move toward the life you want. I bring genuine care, curiosity, and hope into our work while respecting your needs and your pace. I understand that growth is not always a straight path. Whether you are facing a major change, working through past experiences, or trying to reconnect with yourself, I want therapy to be a place where you can be honest, feel supported, and make meaningful changes.

This could have been from addiction, mental health, abuse, neglect, anger, poverty, foster care placement, religious trauma or anything that caused some form of trauma. Are you struggling to remain psychologically flexible in an ever-changing world? Psychological flexibility means contacting the present moment fully as a conscious human being and based on what the situation affords, changing or persisting in behavior in the service of chosen values. I work with clients to address a variety of behavioral, social, and emotional problems, including mood and anxiety disorders, codependency, life transitions, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, ADD/ADHD and Autism. Being a veteran of the United States Air Force I value helping military family members and veterans with transitional issues as well as other concerns. For many years, I worked as a retail manager, where I gained valuable insight into human behavior, conflict resolution, and the importance of mentoring others through life's challenges. Those experiences taught me that every person has a unique story, and with the right support and perspective, they can discover the strength and wisdom they already possess. I approach each person with honesty, compassion, an open mind, and a willingness to think outside the box. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I believe in helping people uncover the answers that align with their own journey, empowering them to recognize their strengths and make meaningful connections that foster growth and healing. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate life's questions and challenges. Drawing from both my professional background and my own lived experiences, I strive to provide guidance, encouragement, and a safe space where you can gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.

Hi there! I'm assuming you made it to my page because life has gotten particularly difficult and you're searching for some sort of direction or confirmation that "you are not crazy for feeling that way". We are not crazy for feeling - and therapy can help assist you in understanding why some emotions are more difficult to feel than others. Recovery is about learning tolerance; not forgetting and dismissing your experiences. I am experienced in working in both outpatient offices and inpatient hospital settings where I support clients in addressing issues stemming from generational trauma, relationships, grief and loss, life adjustments, substance use / other addictions, anxiety, and serious mental illness. I view therapy as a process that requires learning about vulnerability and accountability and then applying both for results.

Have you been wondering if your current challenges are due to past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the Therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults. Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, acts of physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also think because trauma happened a long time ago, it does not affect them in the present. These are a few of the myths about trauma. There are many types of traumas such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, neglect from parents, infidelity, intimate partner violence, the witnessing of domestic violence and more. If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help with positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence. I am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person allow me to provide empathetic regard while helping clients from multicultural backgrounds.

Seeking counseling can be a overwhelming and anxiety producing experience, beyond "the why" of what brought you here. Building a relationship of trust to be vulnerable with a complete stranger is one of the hardest things we can do as humans. Chronic stress stemming from past experiences and intergenerational trauma/stress can be deeply ingrained, often creating complex internal connections and attachment patterns. In partnership with my clients, I assist them in emerging from within themselves with increased positive connections, self image, and self forgiveness, a focus on their life goals. When we work together the aim is to assist you in finding balance, clarity and focus for your life goals through a lens of healing.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, tailoring therapy to each person's unique needs and goals. My approach is trauma-informed, emphasizing safety, collaboration, empowerment, and a strong therapeutic relationship. I recognize the impact trauma can have on emotions, relationships, and daily life, and I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. As a creative arts therapist, I may incorporate music and other expressive approaches when beneficial, helping clients build insight, develop coping skills, and explore emotions in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful. My goal is to help clients gain confidence, strengthen resilience, and create lasting positive change. Scheduling & Missed Appointment Policy: I understand that life can be unpredictable, especially for families and young clients. I offer one free missed session. After that, a $50 fee applies for no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance. To receive the full benefit of therapy, clients should be logged in and ready to begin at their scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session, and clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule and may be subject to the missed appointment fee. Occasional technology issues happen. Clients are encouraged to check their device, camera, microphone, and internet connection before telehealth appointments. Sessions unable to proceed due to unresolved technical difficulties may be considered missed appointments. Session Lengths: Intake sessions are 60 minutes. Follow-up sessions may be 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on individual needs.

Listening to others' stories and supporting them in finding positive paths through challenges has always felt like a natural calling. Even as a child, friends would often reach out, and my mom would joke, "Is the doctor in?" Later on, this passion led to volunteering with kids in creative programs and working in hospice care, where deeper connections were formed. These experiences led to a rewarding role at an outpatient community clinic, where people from all walks of life could share their unique journeys and struggles. My work with clients have included helping those navigate stress, anxiety, mood disorders, and life transitions. The ideal clients are those who are open to exploring interventions and truly wish to understand themselves more deeply. Therapy is not about achieving perfection but rather finding new perspectives on who we are and how we engage with the world around us. Healing and personal growth rarely follow a straight path, and it's the patience and willingness to try that often make the difference in finding the right way forward.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.

Hi, I’m Angela, a licensed clinical social worker who’s all about creating a space where you can just be real. Life gets heavy sometimes, and whether you're feeling anxious, burned out, stuck in a relationship pattern, or weighed down by past experiences, I’m here to help you sort through it without judgment. I work with adults who are ready to do the inner work, even if they’re not totally sure where to start. We’ll look at what’s getting in your way, explore the stories you’ve been telling yourself, and build tools that actually make a difference day to day. I pull from CBT, DBT, and strengths-based approaches to keep things practical and focused, but I also believe in the power of slowing down, getting curious, and creating space for growth. Clients often tell me they feel heard, supported, and challenged in all the right ways. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and honest. I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you figure out where you want to go. Whether you're working through anxiety, past trauma, relationship issues, or just trying to feel better in your own skin, you don’t have to do it alone. I'm here when you're ready.

I have been working in the mental health field for 10 years now. I started off as a wraparound working with children who have emotional, behavioral, and social problems in the home, school, and community. I worked in an autism support classroom in an elementary school for a few years. I have worked primarily in residential settings since then, graduating with my masters in Clinical Mental health Counseling in 2020. I recently attained my state license and was able to start my outpatient practice. I have experience working with people of varying ages and concerns. I am most familiar with personality disorders, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders and have built a plethora of skills, knowledge, and resources to help target these concerns. I have always been friends with the people who need one and my goal throughout life has always been to help improve the quality of life for those around me. My aim is to help you to feel better about yourself and your life, finding where you have control in life and circumstances, and how you can use that to feel more in confident and satisfied in your life.
