Hi, I’m Emy Carlson.
I’m a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Integrative Health Therapist practicing in South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Washington, and Oregon (MS, LPC-MH, LPCC, LPC, NCC, CCTP, QMHP). I’m also a Board-Approved Supervisor in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa.
I specialize in working with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing. I integrate whole-person strategies that support mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
I believe therapy should feel safe, empowering, and purposeful—a space where you can heal, grow, and reconnect with your authentic self.
I specialize in supporting adults affected by ADHD and neurodiversity, whether you are struggling with ADHD yourself or you are a parent wanting to support your child or teen with neurodiversity. Neurodiversity can often include additional symptoms, such as anxiety, OCD, relationship struggles, or self-esteem issues. My approach is warm, practical, and focused on helping you understand how your brain is wired, so you can build on strengths instead of getting stuck in frustration or self-criticism.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and strength-based strategies, I help clients improve emotional regulation, social skills, and executive functioning skills. We work together to reduce overwhelm, manage anxiety, and create realistic systems that support daily life at home or at work.
As both a therapist and a parent with personal experience raising a child with ADHD and lower-needs Autism, I understand how challenging and rewarding neurodiversity can be. I offer a compassionate space to explore what’s working, what’s not, and how to move toward positive change. My goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and connected, while building a life that fits your unique brain, not one that fights against it.
I am a licensed therapist who provided compassionate, evidence-based care in navigating life's challenges. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychoeducation to help clients build insight, develop coping skills, and foster lasting emotional growth. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and confident in their ability to create meaningful change.
I’m Kelly L. Charles, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families across diverse backgrounds and life stages. I work collaboratively with clients to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Hi there, my name’s Ephraim Tokar. I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20+ years of experience. My specialties consist of relationships, men’s issues, career counseling, and psychosomatic illnesses. I received my Bachelors degree in Child Psychology, working initially with the adolescent population before transitioning over to adults. I then received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Whether it's individuals or couples, I'm happy to get to work with whomever comes my way. I do my best to facilitate a warm, trusting environment. Looking forward to meeting with you soon!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with three years of independent clinical experience and over ten years of experience in human services, case management, vocational rehabilitation services, and working at inpatient and outpatient clinical therapy offices.
I have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University, a masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a bachelors of science degree in psychology from North Carolina State University.
I chose to get a PhD in counseling because of my desire to help others, and my continuous drive to learn and grow. Therapy was essential to me as a teenager, then as a young adult, and now as a middle-aged adult. I have always found it to be a powerful tool in allowing me to process my thoughts and feelings, both about my past and my future. As a result, I chose to become a therapist, to provide the same support and guidance to the people I work with!
