Ms. Fitzpatrick has over 25 years of experience working with individuals to help them understand their diagnoses. The last 7 years of experience have included, but are not limited to, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy). In today's world, it is important to build greater resilience. If past trauma has left its mark and you are ready to process those experiences, don't hesitate to reach out at your convenience. '
The first session will consist of getting to know the client, how we measure the process, and what is expected of the client and therapist. The process of therapy, treatment goals, confidentiality, and mandated reporter requirements will be part of the first session. Any questions will be answered, and the next appointment will be scheduled.
Ms Fitzpatrick has a flexible style and schedule, allowing you to move at a comfortable pace and explore your future path. Clients report that Ms. Fitzpatrick conducts sessions in a warm, caring, empathetic, yet realistic manner. Ms. Fitzpatrick believes that the client-therapist relationship is key to effective therapy.
The ideal client would be ready to move past being stuck and able to tackle some hard changes. The client would be able to accomplish goals and recognize what is not working. Ms. Fitzpatrick enjoys working with troubled teens trying to find direction, clients with chronic diseases, and clients processing any trauma that is causing stuckness and unhealthy core beliefs.
Once mostly stable, EMDR can be implemented to help desensitize past trauma.
