Hi, I'm Carrie! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, ADHD, anxiety, mood concerns, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware people who understand what they *should* be doing but still find themselves struggling to change patterns that aren't working for them. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should give you a safe place to be heard and understood, while also helping you gain new perspectives and develop tools you can actually use in your everyday life. Sometimes you need space to process; other times, you need someone who can gently challenge you or help you see something differently. I believe there is room for both. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build the skills and confidence to move toward the life you want. I hope to meet you soon!

Hi! I'm Rebecca! I'm an AuDHD therapist and specialize in trauma, autism, ADHD, and career transitions, particularly those fueled by burnout. I help clients regain their a sense of direction and safety in the world and (re)learn how to trust their own bodies and nervous systems. I also help my clients understand how to work with their brains' unique processing style. Using a trauma-informed approach, I believe in letting my clients set their own pace, whether that looks like jumping right into the hard work or taking a bit of time to feel comfortable and confident before making big changes or sharing details about the past. My therapeutic style is direct yet kind and compassionate. I make sure my clients feel heard and respected, but think it's equally important to challenge unhelpful behavioral and thought patterns. Research has found that the strength of therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in a client's success/healing, and I work hard to foster a professional yet authentic relationship built on mutual respect.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping adults heal from trauma, chronic stress, and long-standing survival patterns. Many of the people I work with grew up navigating environments where safety, emotional support, or stability were inconsistent, and those experiences can continue to affect relationships, self-worth, and the nervous system well into adulthood. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and practical. I integrate trauma-informed methods such as EMDR, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation to help clients move beyond survival mode and reconnect with a stronger sense of self. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. Together we work at a pace that feels safe while building the insight, resilience, and self-trust needed for lasting change. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can be a powerful place to begin.

My name is Amanda Chilleme, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, as well as a Master’s Certified Addiction Professional. For over 11 years, I have supported individuals in identifying what truly matters to them, navigating obstacles, and building a foundation for a more fulfilling future. My primary specialty is working with men and women struggling with substance use disorders as well as process and behavioral addictions, helping them find a pathway to a life that feels less burdened and more aligned. I also have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, grief and bereavement, trauma, attachment concerns, and personality disorders. As a clinician, I take a human-focused approach. I am not here to tell you what you need to work on—you already know the what. My role is to help you understand the why, and ultimately the how: how to shift it, heal it, overcome it, or, when appropriate, let it go altogether. Your first session is best described as a two-way interview. As I listen to your story and your narrative begins to take shape, we collaboratively determine two things: Whether I am the right therapist for you, and Whether this therapeutic relationship is the right fit for both of us. If we decide to move forward together, identifying your goals becomes your first assignment. This process allows me to better understand how you think, how you interpret challenges, and how barriers such as stress, anxiety, depression, or relationship dynamics show up for you. From there, we focus on one goal at a time. I see myself as your coach, teammate, and cheerleader! Whether you are just beginning therapy or have been on this journey for some time, I invite you to plant that seed—and see just how beautifully you grow.

The opposite of Anxiety is Creativity! Let's talk about the late-night rabbit holes, the rogue 2:00 a.m. ADHD thoughts, and the strange, unspoken chapters of your life this is where they finally get to run wild. We aren't here to sand down your edges or fit you into a tidy little box. We are here to make mistakes, play with the pieces, and find strategic ways to tell your story so it feels entirely yours. As a human-centered therapist, I specialize in turning the surreal, overwhelming chaos of real life into clear, empowering magic, placing you squarely at the center of the narrative. My practice is built on a down-to-earth, deeply practical foundation that pairs deep trauma healing with real, tangible tools.

Hi Folx, my name is Daja and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 8 years in clinical practice. I began my career providing family therapy to children, adolescents and families in rural NC communities. From there, I transitioned to a large multi-state psychiatric and behavioral health outpatient practice where I served as both a psychotherapist and Regional Director for three years. After transitioning from that role, I worked in clinical care management with a large corporate insurance company, serving members with complex clinical care needs. As a therapist, I’ve focused my work on supporting folks better manage mental health conditions, cultivate greater joy in their lives and improve their relationships. I sincerely enjoy learning folks’ stories and assisting them as they navigate new and old life challenges/transitions.

Hello there, I'm so glad you are here! I get it...You’re someone who has carried far too much for far too long, maybe a trauma survivor, a people‑pleasing millennial, an LGBTQIA+ adult, or a neurodivergent human trying to navigate identity, relationships, and emotional overwhelm. You might feel pulled in a dozen directions at once, exhausted by perfectionism, hyper‑responsibility, or the pressure to be “the strong one.” Your challenges may include chronic self‑criticism, difficulty setting boundaries, feeling disconnected from your own needs, or struggling to relax even when you’ve earned rest. My name is Alissa, I’m a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in supporting trauma survivors, people-pleasing millennials, LGBTQIA+ clients, and neurodivergent folks navigating identity, relationships, and emotional overwhelm. My work blends parts‑based approaches, somatic awareness, and strengths‑focused care to help you understand your inner world, soften self‑criticism, and build a more grounded, compassionate relationship with yourself (and in partnerships.) I offer an affirming, collaborative space where EVERY part of you is welcome, especially the ones carrying exhaustion, tenderness, or stories that deserve gentleness. I frequently incorporate cognitive behavioral strategies but I also enjoy using creative therapeutic activities that strengthen self efficacy and personal insight. I am defiantly on the crafty side and I love art wellness projects. I have a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. My graduate work included an emphasis on cultural competency, echo-therapy, and urban regional development. My passion for this field is rooted in increasing access to culturally responsive mental health care and supporting people of all backgrounds in navigating therapy with comfort, empowerment, and authenticity. I am committed to creating a safe and affirming environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe therapy should be accessible, culturally informed, and grounded in meaningful change.

I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.

Let’s not sugar coat it! Starting therapy can feel like a HUGE, exciting and terrifying step forward. Let’s not focus on the mountain, let’s focus on what’s right in front of you! You don't have to have it all together, nor do you have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I’m Perleen Daroowalla and I aim to create a safe space where we can be straightforward and honest with each other while working through life’s challenges. I model the same honesty, accountability, and responsibility that I encourage in my clients. Therapy begins with where you are now, factors in where you have been, and builds a plan for where you want to go. You are the expert on your life! The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative process. Together, we will create an individualized plan based off where you want your life to be in a month, 6 months, and/or a year from now. I offer creative and realistic strategies to assist you in tackling life’s challenges. You'll leave sessions with skills you can actively use to accomplish your goals.

Hi, I'm Victoria, I've been honing my specialties for 30 years. I specialize in releasing trauma and old beliefs, rewiring mental habits to result in improved confidence, self esteem, clarity to follow dreams and goals. Since training in the bilateral therapies (EMDR, A.R.T., and Brainspotting) I've witnessed healing on a whole new level. Changing beliefs, thoughts and feelings that have been lifelong takes more than talking about, in my opinion. It requires change in the deep sub conscious, a place easily entered and "edited" utilizing these therapies, works much better and faster than only talking. This is my experience, and the reason why I specialize in these deeper, more sub conscious therapies. In addition, there are times when people prefer to talk, gaining much needed insight (light bulb moments) and releasing thoughts they don't feel comfortable sharing with others. Or, you need to problem solve, work through something cognitively. I practice other therapies that utilize talking as a main modality, too. The main priority is that you're comfortable. We will explore and find just that right fit, regarding modalities that work and also feel in sync with your needs.

I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or overly clinical. My style is informal, conversational, and collaborative, creating a space where you can show up as yourself without worrying about saying the “right” thing. I have no expectations for you to present yourself in a certain way, change anything about yourself, or hide anything. Each thing that you share will only help our work together, and guide me to the best understanding of you and your needs, so that we can navigate your challenges as a team, and take all factors into consideration. My goal for my sessions is to create an environment where the people that I meet with understand that they will never be met with judgement, unreasonable expectations, or negativity. Together, we can create a map of what you’re going through, identify and build on your strengths, and find practical ways to grow toward the life you want.

Minds are designed for thinking and it is human nature to make connections with others. I am dedicated to helping a client slow down to contemplate, explore, and become self-aware of their own needs, personal well-being, interests, strengths and how to relate to others. I will help clients create spaces and opportunities to practice emotional regulation, explore difficult situations, provide therapy for previous history of trauma and loss, and begin or continue a healing journey.

I am licensed in three states (NY, NC, and SC) and have 8 years total of clinical experience. My career started in North Carolina when I got my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University and completed my internship serving as a counselor in an inpatient substance use treatment facility. After that, most of my career was spent serving diverse populations in New York City, in multiple settings of care including substance use treatment and community mental health treatment facilities, and private practice settings. I worked with a heavily diverse, international, and multicultural population from many backgrounds. Over time I had immersive experience building a niche working with LGBTQ+ clients. I also worked with clients from all walks of life navigating concerns around trauma, addiction, mood disorders, major life transitions, and concerns regarding intimate relationships. I consider my counseling approach to be ecletic. I incorperate concepts from many different modalities and adapt them to the unique needs of my clients. Some of the major counseling theories I draw from include Person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognative Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and many others.

My journey in mental health began in 2004, when I realized helping others find light through darkness was my true calling. After earning my master’s degree, I started my career at Phoenix House in Brandon, Florida, where I discovered a deep passion for supporting people as they recover and rebuild. I specialize in counseling individuals struggling with addiction, problem gambling, and co-occurring mental health challenges. My approach is person-centered, strength-based, and empathic, empowering clients to uncover their own capabilities and create healthy, fulfilling lives. I believe that with the right support and tools, anyone can move beyond survival and into meaningful, lasting change.

Hi there — I’m Madison Long, LCMHC, LPC, TRPCP, NCC , a licensed therapist based in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, and I’m passionate about helping people move from feeling stuck into genuinely living. My training includes trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), child-centered play therapy (CCPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and I’m currently pursuing certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Whether you’re navigating the unique emotional terrain of pregnancy or postpartum, healing from past trauma, or managing the ever-changing demands of parenting and family life, I’m here with you — through the ups, downs, and in-between. I offer virtual therapy so you can meet with me from wherever you are in NC, right when it works for you. I do this work because I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to face what we’ve been avoiding, and strong enough to embrace the next step. Not only have I been where many of you are, I’ve also had the privilege to see clients emerge from seasons of pain, parenting chaos, trauma’s shadow, and come into more grounded, more resilient selves — and it is an honor to be part of that process. If you’re ready to start feeling grounded, nourished, and confident again — I’d be honored to walk beside you.

I am a bilingual psychotherapist, member of the Latine and LGBTQIA+ community who approaches wellness with a holistic view that honors the mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy speaking about the science side of therapy, and how everything impacts our brains and bodies. I also know that not everything always makes sense or has words that can explain what is going on. I enjoy learning, being in nature, and giving animals pets.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Trauma and PTSD, is filtering therapists in North Carolina that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
