Hello, I'm Shakera. No one knows you better than yourself, so be proud of this first step of taking care of yourself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 7 years of experience working as a therapist My focus is on implementing a client-centered approach, where I believe the most important aspect is to provide a non-judgmental and safe space for all of my clients. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with adults who have experienced trauma, grief, depression, relationship issues, family conflicts, self-image issues, anxiety, peer pressure, and so much more. Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New Jersey although I am also an LCSW for the state of Missouri and New York. I received my Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St Louis, MO and have been practicing for 8 years. I enjoy helping people in general and after years of working in public health began working in social work. I work with clients struggling with a variety of mental health challenges and conditions to become the best versions of themselves despite what has happened to them or what may be occurring to them presently.
I am a licensed counselor in Missouri with over 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, anger management, motivation, self esteem, confidence, and depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have worked with the mental health and IDD populations with over 10 years experience. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling. I have a passion in helping others find creative ways to manage their feelings and emotions and stay well with learned coping skills.
I help people who feel overwhelmed by anger, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, shame, grief, or difficult seasons of life. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they do not like: saying things they regret, replaying conversations, avoiding people, feeling like they are failing, or carrying pain that they have tried hard to keep hidden.
Before opening my private practice, I founded Coyote Hill and spent more than 33 years working with foster children, families, and people in crisis. That experience shaped the way I work now: calm, practical, honest, and compassionate. I do not believe therapy should feel mysterious or judgmental. My goal is to help you understand what is happening, why it keeps happening, and what you can begin doing differently.
One line that has stayed with me is, “We are all just walking each other home.” To me, that is part of what therapy can be: a steady place where you do not have to carry everything alone, and where we move toward clarity, healing, and the next right step. We cannot change the past, but we can work on how you respond in the present and how you move forward with more steadiness, self-respect, and hope.
If you're dealing with anxiety that won't let up, a life change that's left you off-balance, or relationship tension that keeps getting in the way — I can help. After 10 years as a school social worker in St. Louis, I know what it looks like when people are overwhelmed, and what it actually takes to move through it. Today I work with adults navigating similar territory: the pressure that builds quietly, the transitions that feel harder than expected, the moments in relationships that leave you stuck. My focus is on making therapy practical, grounded, and worth your time.
I decided to become a counselor because I've always been the go to person and one that people trusted. I have a passion for helping other's and felt being a counselor would fulfill my purpose in life. I genuinely care about the wellbeing of others. I'm non-judgmental and easy to talk to. Most of all, I am simply just a person.
I'm a retired, decorated Air Force combat veteran. I graduated from Washington University St Louis, earning a Master of Science in Social Work with an emphasis in Social Entrepreneurship.
I have years of experience as a therapist working with the military, veterans, and various populations. I've worked as a subject matter expert in wellness programs such as suicide prevention, substance abuse, alcohol and drug abuse, and smoking cessation. I was a certified resiliency trainer and instructor for over 15 years.
We all go through seasons when life feels more difficult than usual.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults of all ages navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, grief, caregiving, aging, and the many transitions that come with being human. Sometimes something specific has happened. Other times, you may simply feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or not quite like yourself lately.
My style is warm, conversational, practical, and down-to-earth. Therapy with me isn't about sitting in a heavy room analyzing everything that's ever happened to you. We'll absolutely make space for the hard stuff, but there's also room for humor, perspective, problem-solving, and figuring out what might actually help you feel better.
I especially enjoy working with adults who are adjusting to a new season of life, including older adults navigating changes in relationships, family roles, health, retirement, independence, or simply figuring out what they want this chapter of life to look like.

Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges across medical, community, and behavioral health settings. I believe everyone deserves compassionate, culturally responsive care where they feel respected, supported, and understood.
My passion for mental health began while working with pregnant women and adolescents, and that experience continues to shape the care I provide today. I enjoy supporting women, caregivers, individuals during pregnancy and postpartum, and people from historically marginalized and oppressed communities. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or facing a major life transition, you don't have to face it alone.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and holistic. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help guide and support you as we work toward your goals together. We'll identify your strengths, explore the challenges you're experiencing, and
develop practical strategies that fit your life and values. I strive to create a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we'll work toward building resilience, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change. I believe healing is possible, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they move toward greater hope, wellness, and fulfillment.
I help adults work through life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges that may be affecting their relationships and goals.
I have been in the mental health field for more than a decade and have been a licensed counselor since 2021. I am passionate about working with people to achieve breakthroughs in their lives, improve their understanding of what they need and want, and improve boundaries with those around them.
Asking for help can push us outside our comfort zone, but that’s often where real growth begins. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore, heal, and grow. You don’t have to do this alone. (También hablo español.)
I use play, mindfulness, emotionally-focused, and Attachment and Commitment in my practice. I am a strong believer that one of the only ways to come back from overwhelm is to do nothing, and the best way to do nothing is to play.
I completed my internship in 2020 with the organization Child Abuse Prevention Association providing trauma informed care to adults and children via telehealth. After graduation I was a school based therapist working primarily with elementary children and their families. In that time I developed a specialty with neurodivergence. I have spent the last year working with neurodivergent children, teens, and adults here in Washington.

Welcome — this is a space where you can be honest, seen, and understood. I’m Shakea “Kea” Roper, LCSW, and I bring 15 years of clinical and life experience to our therapeutic partnership. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by cycles that just won’t shift — I see you.
I specialize in helping people manage anxiety, depression, racing or intrusive thoughts, life transitions, and relational struggle. My style is active, grounded, and rooted in both compassion and challenge. Many clients say: “Kea listens like no one else — and she’s not afraid to stretch me when I need it.”
I integrate evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, Brief Therapy) along with more specialized models:
Making Sense of Your Worth (MSoYW): an 8-week group curriculum developed by HALO Project where we explore and heal the internal “lies” we believe about ourselves, rebuild toward positive self-worth and secure attachment.
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT): a structured, cognitive-behavioral system where we work through step-by-step exercises to enhance reasoning, decision-making, and a healthier identity (beyond self-destructive or impulsive patterns).
I also actively engage in community work, and I’m currently pursuing my doctorate (which continues to deepen my perspective and rigor). Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me at board game night, crafting, or spending time with family.
It’s an honor to walk alongside you. Nelson Mandela said, “Everything seems impossible until it’s done.” Let’s work together toward the possible.
I’m currently accepting clients in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kansas, Utah, North Dakota, and Nevada.
I think we can all agree that life can get messy and overwhelming. Whether it's relationships, career, health or all three at one time. I provide support for those looking to make a change. I believe you are the expert on your own complex experiences and would be honored to collaborate with you on the road forward.
"Each of us has the right and responsibility to assess the roads which lie ahead and those over which we have traveled, and if the future road looms ominous or unpromising and the road back uninviting then we need to gather our resolve and carry only the necessary baggage into another direction"- Maya Angelou
I believe in working collaboratively with you to help you define the tools needed to overcome obstacles, deescalate situations, make better choices and negotiate positive outcomes to be the best you can be. My goal is to help you grow, regain peace, joy and healing in your life by providing nonjudgmental counseling, partnership, empathy, encouragement and support to achieve wellness.
You are overwhelmed, overthinking everything, and overfunctioning just to keep things afloat. You are the one everyone relies on, but you are exhausted. You have gotten used to carrying everything for everyone, and if we are being honest, it is costing you your peace, your energy, and often yourself.
If this sounds familiar, it is because I hear it all the time. It reflects the lived experiences of most of the clients I work with. In our sessions, we won't just talk about what is happening. We'll get honest about what's driving it and we work to change it. I'll help you notice the patterns that are keeping you stuck and challenge them in real time so that you can build something more sustainable in your actual day-to-day life.

I am a mom, wife, friend and therapist. I am passionate about caring for people and meeting them where they are. I have been a therapist for 7 years and love what I do. I have my Masters in Counseling from Covenant Seminary.

Many of the women I work with are extremely capable and successful in their careers, yet they feel frustrated that food seems to be the one area of life they cannot fully control. Emotional eating often develops as a response to stress, exhaustion, or emotional overload. In our work together we explore the deeper patterns driving these behaviors so you can develop a healthier relationship with food and feel confident in your body again. I also provide specialized coaching programs for clients who want to go deeper into transforming their relationship with food and building sustainable health habits. Hello, my name is Vanessa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, and South Carolina. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I provide counseling in both languages to best support my clients’ needs.
My professional background in mental health began during my undergraduate and graduate studies, where I gained experience working with children through the Department of Children & Families, with older adults in skilled nursing facilities, and with adolescents in group homes. Over the years, I have expanded my work to include diverse populations and settings. I served as a Nurse Navigator at one of the largest cancer hospitals in South Florida, providing counseling and advocacy for oncology patients and their families. I have also worked with adults in inpatient rehabilitation for substance use treatment, facilitated care for court-ordered clients, and supported outpatient clients within the LGBTQ+ community.
I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and individualized treatment planning. My focus is to meet clients where they are, help them return to a baseline where they feel comfortable and capable, and empower them to navigate life’s challenges.
I consider myself open-minded, compassionate, and deeply empathetic. My mantra is simple: I am here for you. My role is to walk alongside you, provide tools and support, and help you manage both daily stressors and long-standing challenges. Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, and I am here to support you in that process.
I believe that every person possesses the inner strength and resources needed to find happiness and healing. As a transgender woman, I understand both the internal and external forces that can stir self-doubt, amplify fear, and lead to deep feelings of loneliness and uncertainty. I also know—through both personal and professional experience—that self-acceptance and joy are not only possible, but also within reach. Science consistently shows that those who seek support often find meaningful relief and lasting change.
I bring to my practice a mindfulness-based approach grounded in compassion, presence, and affirmation. My work is especially focused on serving the LGBTQAI+ community, though I warmly welcome anyone seeking an empathic, nonjudgmental partner in their journey toward a more fulfilling life.
In addition to my clinical work, I have served as an adjunct and visiting professor at Washington University in St. Louis, and as professor and dean of the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. My academic and clinical experiences have always been deeply interconnected, and both continue to inform my commitment to human dignity, resilience, and transformation.
I am an advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, a passionate partner in your healing process. As a clinician, I believe strongly in meeting you where you are. Even if it is a place you have never opened the doors for another. I gained my education at New York University and have experience working in many major diverse communities across the United States. This practice experience and armed me with the humility to connect with all cultures, intersections, and identities.
I’m a master’s‑level therapist with 18 years in the field, and I bring a mix of warmth, directness, and a good sense of humor to the work. I’m highly relational and love getting to know the real person behind the symptoms.
