New to Grow
I provide the validation, support, and space to help individuals and families explore their strengths and improve the cycles that make them unhappy. I am action oriented and direct, while leaving space for self-exploration and growth in a warm and nurturing environment. I counsel individuals, couples, and families and specialize in mood disorders, anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, family conflict, divorce, and self esteem issues.
In our first session, you can expect a mix of clarity, direction, and getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you want to change, and what’s been getting in the way. I’ll ask direct but supportive questions so I can understand your goals and how I can help
My greatest strength as a therapist is my relatability. Clients feel comfortable with me quickly because I show up as a real human—warm, grounded, and genuine—which helps them open up and make meaningful progress.
My ideal client is someone who’s tired of feeling stuck and wants support as well as change. They value a therapist who’s direct, warm, and uses humor to make hard work feel possible.
I use CBT by helping clients identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, challenge those patterns, and practice healthier alternatives through structured exercises and homework.
I practice cultural sensitivity by approaching each client with curiosity, respect, and openness, and by adapting my interventions to their cultural values and lived experiences.
I use Interpersonal Therapy by helping clients understand how their relationships affect their mood and by improving communication, role transitions, and conflict resolution.
I use Motivational Interviewing by helping clients explore their ambivalence, identify their own reasons for change, and strengthen their motivation in a collaborative, non-judgmental way.
