I decided to become a counselor because I've always been the go to person and one that people trusted. I have a passion for helping other's and felt being a counselor would fulfill my purpose in life. I genuinely care about the wellbeing of others. I'm non-judgmental and easy to talk to. Most of all, I am simply just a person.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session I explain the counseling process and answer any questions. I ask about strengths and interest. We really get to know one another during this session. I'm very big on building rapport. Also, discussed is what brought you to counseling.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is structured, evidence-based, and skills-focused, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed models like Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I focus on helping clients not only understand their thoughts and emotions, but also actively build practical coping skills they can use outside of sessions. What sets my work apart is the balance between: Psychoeducation and insight (helping clients understand why they feel and think the way they do) and skill-building and application (teaching how to manage distress in real time).

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I'm best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated for growth but may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. Many of the clients I work well with are experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, relationship challenges, or difficulties with emotional regulation. tend to connect especially well with clients who are open to self-reflection and willing to explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This includes individuals who may feel ambivalent about change, but are open to building insight and developing practical skills to improve their daily functioning and overall well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help client's recognize automatic negative thoughts and core beliefs that may be contributing to distress.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I have experience using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as a structured, evidence-based treatment specifically designed for individuals experiencing trauma-related difficulties, including symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In my practice, I use CPT to help clients process traumatic experiences and reduce the impact those experiences have on their current thoughts and beliefs.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have experience using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as an evidence-based approach designed to support children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, as well as their caregivers. In my practice, I use TF-CBT to help young clients process traumatic experiences while strengthening coping skills and family support systems.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a structured, skills-based treatment designed to support individuals who experience intense emotions, interpersonal challenges, and difficulties with distress tolerance. In my practice, I use DBT to help clients build practical skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

Motivational Interviewing

I have experience using Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a collaborative, client-centered approach designed to strengthen an individual’s motivation and commitment to change. In my practice, I use MI to support clients who may feel ambivalent about making behavioral changes, particularly in areas such as substance use, health behaviors, or treatment engagement, etc.
