New to Grow
I have been an LCSW for 6 years. I’ve worked in a variety of settings from child welfare to healthcare. My favorite areas of work include grief & loss, navigating medical diagnosis, and college aged individuals! I would describe my style as laid back but direct. I use a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solution focused, and EMDR if appropriate.
I love asking questions and getting to know you and what you truly hope to get out of therapy as well as what kind of changes you hope to see.
I considered myself to be an even balance of offering support and sometimes just a listening ear, but can also be a challenger when there is a time and a place for it. Everyone is different!
I love seeing college age students that may be struggling with the adjustment to schooling or navigating relationships. I have also enjoyed working with older adults who may be struggling with grief and loss, adjusting to chronic medical conditions, or supporting loved ones through medical conditions. I also enjoy helping people navigate setting boundaries within familial relationships or peer relationships.
I am a big believer that our thoughts have the power to affect our feelings and our actions
