Life threw me a curveball when I underwent open-heart surgery—but I hit it out of the park with resilience, self-care, and a passion for helping others do the same. With 20 years of experience as a social worker, including supporting children and families in a school setting, I understand the ups and downs of life and the power of healthy coping strategies. In my past role, I worked closely with families, helping them manage, cope, and recover from trauma. Through this experience, I developed a deep understanding of the challenges families face and guided them with empathy and practical support. Whether you're navigating the emotional rollercoaster of life and work or recovering from a difficult chapter, I’m here to help you regain your balance, one step at a time. About me, HI, I’m a Licensed Clinical Master’s Level Social Worker (LMSW) based in Michigan. For over 26 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, families, children, and veterans as they navigate life’s struggles. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by marital conflict, discouraged by low self-esteem, or stressed by the demands of work, parenting, and relationships. Others are parents seeking guidance for children and preteens with ADHD, needing support with school challenges, IEPs, 504 plans, and academic success. No matter the circumstance, I strive to meet clients where they are, honoring their unique story and helping them feel seen, supported, and understood. I provide compassionate, client-centered, and strength-based therapy, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Together, we focus on building coping skills, manage stress, behavior management, communication skills, resilience training, and emotional balance. My goal is to support you in finding practical coping tools while also fostering confidence, personal growth, and healthier relationships at home, school, and work. With over 15 years of experience working with veterans, I also support trauma recovery, reintegration into civilian life, and connection to housing and community resources. I bring a culturally responsive lens to my work with immigrants and first-generation individuals, supporting identity development, acculturation, family conflict, and multicultural stress. Whether you are an adult managing workplace stress and relationship challenges, a parent seeking counseling or parent coaching for your child’s ADHD, or someone looking to rebuild confidence and self-esteem, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore, heal, and grow. My mission is to provide therapy and emotional support that helps you feel empowered, supported, and equipped to move forward with greater clarity, strength, resilience, and overall wellness.

I am Ruth Westfall, a licensed Social Worker, with 30 years of experience as a therapist. I am passionate about getting to know my clients and seeing them heal and overcome life's challenges. I have the greatest respect for those who seek support in order to make positive change in their lives! After finding myself a single parent, I needed to find work in a field where I could support my son and myself. I was always interested in a helping profession as well as one where I could be involved in social justice. I graduated with a Master's in Social Work in 1995 and immediately found work at a mental health clinic. I worked there for 24 years in various positions, not only as a therapist but as an advocate for victims of crime. The pandemic caused such a need for therapists that I was able to branch out on my own and go into private practice, which I love! Since 2020, I have worked with hundreds of clients on telehealth platforms and helped them cope with the many challenges of these last few years.

I could list my degrees (MSW from USC), my credentials (LCSW, CFTP) and my experience (10 years of individual and couples therapy). Most of all I am a mom, a sister, a grandmom and a retired veteran. I understand life from many intersections. I know the stigma of seeing a mental health professional, but I also know that most of people that are in therapy seek treatment because they have to deal with people that refuse to seek treatment for themselves. I create a safe space to process what you have experienced, what you want to change, and what are your barriers to success.

I have experience working with people of all ages on general mental health issues, such as managing depression and anxiety, and have specialized in the areas of PTSD recovery and domestic violence and sexual abuse victims and offenders. Throughout my counseling career, I have maintained activity in ministry. I was trained in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and also have had training as a Spiritual Director. My counseling approach is generally non-directive, using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in a Solution Focused, Client Centered frame work. I can incorporate spirituality as much or as little as the client desires, from not referencing spirituality at all to fully engaging the spiritual dimension of life. I am a counselor who embodies empathy, compassion, and motivation in guiding my clients toward healing and self-discovery. My training in TEAM CBT, developed by Dr. David Burns, emphasizes the transformative power of confronting negative thoughts to drive positive emotional change. This method, rooted in the principle that 'The Truth Shall Set You Free,' focuses on identifying and challenging cognitive distortions. Additionally, as a Christian Counselor, I seamlessly integrate Christian principles with traditional talk therapy and TEAM CBT, ensuring that these approaches complement rather than conflict. Who I am My name is Danni, and I'm a Licensed Therapist. My approach is direct, heavy, and unapologetically thorough. I believe in getting to the root cause of your distress and dismantling it, brick by heavy brick. My goal is to guide you on a transformative journey toward a more fulfilling and authentic life. My Approach and Beliefs This is a form of progressive therapy, and it is driven by one core belief: that the most profound and lasting change comes from psychodynamic trauma processing and inner child work. We will not be skimming the surface. We will begin there, yes—at the surface of your current pain—but we will be following it down into the core of your past. We will find where your coping mechanisms and triggers were first formed, because our deepest parts are often stuck in the moment of their original trauma. The goal of this process is to go back to that stuck place, find safety and stability, and then walk you through the developmental stages you missed so that the "inner child" can finally grow up and become one with your current self. This is not easy. It’s intense, it can be scary, and it will require you to face things you’ve likely spent a lifetime running from. We'll be going into the depths, so you can stop just surviving and start truly living.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, somatic awareness, and experiential or strengths-based approaches. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to balance their needs with responsibilities at home, work, or school. Together, we explore tools, insights, and strategies that help you feel more capable, grounded, and confident in your day-to-day life. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Hello, My name is Jennifer Bardon, a LCSW certified professional in the state of Michigan. Social work and behavioral therapy are my passions because helping others is truly what motivates and rewards me the most. Since receiving a BSW (Bachelors, Social Work) and MSW (Masters, Social Work) from Wayne State University, Detroit, nearly six years ago, I have been developing and practicing methods to better understand the human condition and how to modify it to help others through personal conflicts and struggles from insecurities, anxiety, depression, self esteem and so much more. Incorporating mindfulness techniques to assist clients with centering themselves, and focusing on the present, as well as challenging negative thoughts, is one of my many strengths. I have experience with working with children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities. As a clinician that practices Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) certified professional, you can be confident I have the skill-set necessary to work with a diverse array of clients. My focus is "You" the individual, and I encourage all my clients to help assist in utilizing and engaging in the recommended treatments thus giving them needed satisfaction in their own successes. Note: Evenings and weekends are open for clients who have a busy work week or find those times most convenient. I do offer some flexibility if appointments are requested outside of my usual available times.
