I believe that each one of us has the answers to our problems inside of us. However, sometimes we need someone on our journey to help us unlock those answers by asking the right questions---things you may not have considered, presenting proven strategies, and psychoeducation. Although, you will make strides with the energy and effort you give, the number one predictor that one will improve is the quality of the therapeutic relationship. I hope to provide a place of warmth, compassion, and acceptance in which you feel empowered and free to approach any concerns. I am here to help you along on your journey. I am a licensed mental health counselor in Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Utah. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with an Educational Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling. I also earned a Master's of Art from Roosevelt University. I have experience working with youth and their families as well as adults. The theoretical framework that I usually draw from is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I also apply Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing Techniques as needed. I address trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, interpersonal skills, self-esteem, anger, problem-solving, and decision-making. In conjunction with therapy, I believe that exercise, proper nutrition, and good sleep hygiene are an integral part of overcoming mental health concerns. Change, even positive change can be challenging and uncomfortable. I hope to provide the necessary support as a champion of change.

I’m really glad you’re considering therapy—it’s a powerful step toward understanding yourself and making positive changes. It’s completely normal to have questions or feel uncertain in the beginning. The most important part is that you’re open to exploring your thoughts and feelings in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I'm here to support you in whatever way is most helpful, whether that’s answering questions, helping you get started, or just listening. You don’t have to figure it all out at once—just taking this first step is already meaningful. My professional training and certifications include holistic counseling, trauma, and anxiety healing.

My name is Soroya Pognon and I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years experience. I primarily work with those who have anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, burnout and stress management. Over the the last 18 years, I have worked with healthcare providers, entrepreneurs and those seeking guidance on getting to the next stage in their lives. I help people overcome obstacles by teaching them how to reframe their perspective and lead a more fulfilling life. In a way, I help people see the opportunities in any problem. When people have seen these opportunities and have put them into action, they are often surprised at what they can accomplish.

Hello and Welcome! I am a social worker who has been in the field for over 20 years. Early in my career, I was fortunate enough to work with a psychiatrist who believed there was more to treating mental health than medication. I participated in a training with him and I was transformed as a therapist. I was trained in the relaxation response and mindfulness meditation and using the body to help heal people who have had significant trauma and mental health challenges. From there, I went on to get my yoga teaching certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Since then, I have been helping children, adolescents and adults learn more about themselves and help them connect with the truest part of themselves. I believe my purpose is to help people learn to love themselves. I lived in CA for a long time and still hold my LCSW license. I was fortunate enough to study with a number of teachers at Spirit Rock Meditation Center who have influenced my work. I blend a number of different frameworks into my practice including trauma-informed CBT, DBT, somatic psychotherapy and self-compassion. I am mindful and respectful of all differences (racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, economic, gender, sexual orientation, ability etc.) and strive to understand each person within the context of their life history. Every person who seeks treatment has unique needs and goals. I strive to work collaboratively with you to keep your goals at the center of our work together. I stand in solidarity with the BIPOC community and all those impacted by systemic racism and oppression. I will uphold my own values and ethics and support all those who are speaking out against injustice of any kind. As a therapist, I am committed to creating a safe space for all.

I'm Jalieh (pronounced *dja-leh*) — a trilingual licensed therapist (English, Spanish, Portuguese) with 30+ years of education, training, and practice across clinical, coaching, and community-health work in five countries: Spain, Brazil, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States. My practice is Dynamic Coherence™. I work with women across the lifespan who are striving to live their cherished principles in daily practice — from healing to flourishing. Clients often arrive at a threshold: a career shift, a season of parenting or empty-nesting, caregiving, perimenopause, grief, identity, a quiet *"here I go again,"* a longing that no longer fits the life they've built. Many are women of faith — Bahá'í, Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, and seekers — alongside those exploring their spirituality, values, and principles. Some carry religious trauma; some long to live their cherished faith more fully. My approach is integrative — humanistic, existential and transpersonal at the foundation, with mindfulness, somatic, trauma-informed, and relational-cultural threads woven in. I draw from the current and unfolding evidence-based science and the wisdom of spiritual heritage in my work, for both are complementary systems of knowledge and practice. I work, like the women I serve, as one still becoming — committed to my own unfolding alongside theirs. What clients tell me, again and again, is that they leave our work knowing how to pause, that they have a choice, and ways to direct that choice with confidence and meaning — clearer about who they are, what they're about, and the gifts they are striving to embody and contribute to a more unified, loving, just and creative world.

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Physical Education, I have dedicated my life to the holistic understanding and treatment of trauma, healing, and personal growth. My journey has been shaped by my service as a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and a former police officer, experiences that have ingrained in me a deep sense of duty to serve my country, community, and my fellow human beings. These roles have provided me with unique insights into the complexities of the human experience—insights that inform my approach to therapy, where I strive to create a transformative space for healing. My approach to therapy is much more than traditional talk therapy; it’s about engaging on multiple levels—physical, emotional, and psychological. I work to educate, nurture, and guide individuals as they navigate the depths of their trauma and rediscover their inherent strength. I believe that true healing requires more than just surface-level conversations, and that’s why I encourage a collaborative partnership with my clients. Together, we delve deeply into their experiences, with a focus on understanding the root causes of their struggles and developing strategies for lasting change. I bring a sense of curiosity and excitement to every session, believing that therapy is not only a process of healing but also one of discovery. My direct yet compassionate style helps foster a safe space where clients can explore their challenges without judgment, knowing they are supported by someone who has walked through many of life’s most difficult terrains. I push for productive, meaningful sessions that move beyond superficial fixes to truly unravel the patterns and behaviors that hold people back. Instagram: Khealo_therapy

My approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, a powerful, evidence-based model that helps you understand and heal the different parts of yourself that influence your relationship with food, body image, and self-worth. Through IFS, we’ll work together to unburden the emotional pain, self-judgment, and past experiences holding you back. Navigating challenges related to health, body image, and self-acceptance can feel overwhelming. As a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience, I provide a safe and judgment-free space to explore the emotional, behavioral & psych aspects of these struggles.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Massachusetts rather than a city like Boston?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Massachusetts. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Massachusetts from Springfield to Cape Cod! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Massachusetts.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
